- Tried out IKEA liquid fertilizer as well, the whole setup cost me way less than buying IKEA's full grow kit. And it's going to save me money on basil and other herbs in the future. The plants receive 16 hours of light a day which is about 4.8 kwh per month
Nutrients: Masterblend, Calcium Nitrate and Epsom Salt - Jak na to + styl
Wow this is very nice. I think I'm gonna buy this grow light.
More satisfying to start from seed. And only two weeks that much growth? That’s amazing if so
Yes! I like how the seeds turn gelatinous when sowing
Hi, can you post a video how you made the system?
Nice!!
Nice video. What variety of basil is that? Have you grown anything since?
Oh hey! It's sweet basil from the supermarket. Yes! new video coming up soon and hopefully hydroponic radish video after that.
Great video! What clip did you use to hold the grow light to the pvc pipe?
Some nordic brand. I would probably guess they are in general called carpenters clips
พืช Hoya สามารถใช้หลอดไฟชนิดนี้ได้หรือไม่?
whats the par value of this grow light?
Hey, can I ask you how you constructed the system? looks like you used a plastic box and a PVC tube together with a cheap E27 bulb fitting right?
Oh yeah that is pretty much it!
I wonder if these bulbs would work with my calatheas
Oh yes they do!
Does a bulb have purple hue? In the video it seems that it doesn't, but the one I have does.
This one has a white hue. I haven't seen any from IKEA with purple light.
@@newmoore4894 thanks for reply. that's interesting.
Hi wanted to know if you used just tap water or filter water and if you put any nutrients in..thanks
Nutrients: Masterblend, Calcium Nitrate and Epsom Salt. Just tap water, dont know if its soft or hard water. Updated the description. Thank you for asking.
@@newmoore4894 Was all those nutrients you mentioned inside that Vaxer bottle from Ikea? Or was the IKEA fertilizer bottle just carries one of the nutrients you mentioned? Sorry Im confused.
How often do you change the water?
I dont, i just refill every 2-3 weeks
@@newmoore4894 thank you for the quick reply :) also, looks like you used packing foam to hold the basil cuttings...any idea of a cheap organic alternative?
@@SmartWentCrazy Hi again! You could use root riot which is expensive or maybe just use well drained dirt or smaller leca clay balls. I havent tried these though.
@@newmoore4894 Ended up buying the clay balls. I think I'm going to try using a cheesecloth over mason jars with rockwool+clay to stabilize the plant.
What temperature do you need your room kept for it to grow?
Just normal room temp 17-23 celsius
what did you use to plug the bulb in
E27 socket 😊
