I loved that shed video! I'm moving to my new house this weekend and the stress of moving is hard to do anything.
That’s exactly how I felt. So much to do and no time to relax! But I just kept telling myself that it would all happen eventually. I hope your move went well 🤞
Congrats for the new house and specially for Ben Jr. Don't forget to add a toilet so you don't need to leave the shed and a sink to clean up everything when needed.
That’s the dream but might just be a little too ambitious for this studio… but definitely something to think about for studio MkIII!

First of all, congratulations when the kid comes 😁. I have been a fan of the hobby shed and was sad to see it go however, moving to a bigger place with a big garage like that for a hobby space is amazing. Cannot wait to see what you do with the garage. 😁

Definitely having a spot to go to that has everything you need to hobby is a must for me. I have low frustration tolerance and when I didn’t have a space to use just for painting and crafting I wouldn’t do any where near as much hobby time due to just getting the s$&@s with setting up and packing it back up.

Really interested to see what you do - I’m currently set up in a similar pre fab garage, want to see what you do about insulation as mine is unusable in cold weather!
That’ll be an interesting part of the video! It’s not the cheapest option but I think it’s the better of the various options available.

I never managed to hobby when it was my “turn” but i found with a decent sling i could walk the dog or play playstation - i remember the missus coming down after a nap with the youngest in a sling asleep for the first time that day playing something to entertain the eldest! it went down hill when he started wanting to play!

Honestly, it feels like only yesterday! Making this video brought back lots of memories 😊
good God, thee initial investment for painting minis/making game boards is ridiculous. I just started getting into this (had absolutely nothing) and every time i turn around i find i need a different tool, brush, paint, glue, varnish, etc. Within the 1st month I nickel, dimed and dollar-ed myself to death. Im over $1500 already and now i find theres foam cutters...yay! (my wallets not saying that lol)
I think crafting is a very bizarre one - you can craft with some suuuuuper basic tools and get some reasonable results. The extra tools and materials just make things a bit easier and allow you to get a slightly better effect. I’m very fortunate to have amassed a lot of ‘stuff’ over the last few years but it’s very easy to fall in to a buying rabbit hole if you’re not careful!

Seems like every month someone in this niche genre is pumping out one off these videos followed by a series of“ look what I got!”.
I mean, we have hobby spaces that we’re proud of that are probably aspirational to a lot of hobbyists. I don’t think there’s any harm in sharing them with other people 🤷🏼♂️
The purpose isn't to show off and be like "look what I got". It's to share ideas (aswell as mistakes!) and hopefully inspire others in their own hobby space setup 😊
I know I definitely took inspiration from videos like this when planning my own space.

I left the fandom due to GW's tacit support for fascists like Arch and their refusal to confront white supremacy.
They don’t support Arch though? In fact he had to remove ‘Warhammer’ from channel title a few years ago due to legal pressure from them. They also put out a statement that ‘Warhammer is for everyone’ which explicitly condemns racism, fascism, bigotry etc.
