  • "I can see that there's hope. I can see that there's an organization that's making a big impact in a disease that has affected my life."
    When Juliana was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, she was overwhelmed with the thought of having cancer--especially as a young adult. After finding the Lymphoma Research Foundation, she connected with other young adults, received peer support and the knowledge she needed to be her own health advocate.

    The Lymphoma Research Foundation is the nation's largest non-profit organization devoted to funding innovative research and providing people with lymphoma and healthcare professionals with up-to-date information about this type of cancer.

      I hope all is well with you. Did you experience night sweats/sweats prior to your diagnosis? Swollen nodes? What prompted you to go to the doctor? How did they diagnose you, with a PET scan?
      How was your scan in February?

    I've been fighting Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 15 years. I've had chemo, radiation,CHOP, Rotuxamin,Budabistene and gamma globbing treatments. This attacks the lymphatic system and is inoperable. It doesn't stay in remission very long. I'm currently in treatment.

      Kevin, can i ask about your treatment? Were the cycles monthly? How many cycles? Were you sick after first treatment or did the side effects increase as you progressed with each chemo session? Were the side effects enough to stop you doing normal things throughout, or just the week after the treatment? Sorry for all the questions, I am on Watchful and Waiting at the moment, but sense it may be progressing and soon have to have Chemo.

      @WilshirecityBlues Thanks, Yes, still in holding pattern, the longer I can stay in this phase and not undergo chemo the better. I am hoping they get Immunotherapy sorted and up and running as a replacement for chemo in the near future. Yes they are making great strides forward in this area.

Mine is grade 2, stage 3a cancer

      I am going to my 6 cycle chemo on Thursday.The first one was the worst,as well as you I had really low blood pressure,but on the next cycles it was absolutely fine.

      @@user-oc4od4sv7lIt depends what type of therapy you have.
      I had bendamustine and obinotuzumab and I didn't loose my hair.
      But on R-Chop or G-Chop people are loosing their hair.

      Hi there. How are you doing now? Could you pls share to us some symptomps you felt before getting diagnosed?

    • @fakhruddinzam-zam3333
      @fakhruddinzam-zam3333 Před 3 lety +2

      @WilshirecityBlues i got no other symptomps except swollen lymph nodes. I am scared. I have checked them out actually but all the blood count came normal, and all are small so they say maybe need an observation first. Mine have been there for a long time actually. So i thought it's just normal.
      Yeah, i read about follicular too, one thing that scares me that this type of lymphoma actually cant be cured, and treatment shall not be given for some who don't experience other symptoms. So, i am scared to find this out even further :(

      @@fakhruddinzam-zam3333 I have multiple swollen lympnodes that are under both arms. I have had them over a year. I had blood work back in 2020 that came back normal. I had just found one swollen node at that time. Now I have multiple in 2021. At times I feel throbbing or a burning sensation. They do not hurt but are tender when you start feeling on them. My dr. yesterday did more blood work and is sending me for an ultrasound on them. But I have no other symptom's. I am not even sure if i should be worried or not since i have no symptoms and blood work is good.
