The then chief selector MSK Prasad and BCCI did a big blunder by not taking Ambati Rayudu into the 2019 world cup squad. Now BCCI is again making a mistake by not taking Shikhar Dhawan into the squad who can play even in knockouts. Why DK in T20 world cup and then in the semifinals took Pant all of a sudden? Till now no one answered. Why Hardik is leading in T20I but not ODIs which is impossible according to BCCI as they earlier said white ball format can't be splitted.

GK this was Not the "Fika" Final. This was the Bestest Final Ever. Chasing 171 with RR of nearly 12 was not easy anyways
For the first time was unhappy with GK's thoughts. Clearly, he was unhappy with CSK winning and GT losing. He completely ignored the fact that CSK chased a huge total under pressure during the final.
They were given a completely unfair advantage with DLS, even putting aside the rain advantage they had.

@@lijolav No it wasn’t their fault that it rained. Luck and rain are part of the game so that’s fine but they did unfairly benefit from DLS which is an arbitrary rule that can easily be tweaked. The formula for DLS needs to be updated for T20 cricket so teams are not short changed so much. I mean c’mon, the RRR per over went up only 0.7 runs despite batting 25% less overs. Do you think that’s fair?

I’m sorry, you can put aside the rain advantage if you want, but on top of that, the DLS reduction really was unfair on GT. RRR was increased by 0.7 despite having to bat 25% less overs. Nothing about the formula makes sense in this match. If there was ever an * in an IPL final, it would be this one.

Gaurav Kapoor felt like he was close to crying today. Probably he was hoping for GT to roll over CSK. Starting out with rant on reduced overs, slow covers etc and then going on and on about Pandya and later Rohit Sharma’ 5 trophies. Just a small note for him. Pandya and Rohit have never done anything in international cricket as captain. To match MSD, they need to do lot more than they have ever done.

Firstly you quite cleverly only mentioned Pandya and not Rohit fully knowing my comment was for both. Rohit certainly has had lot more opportunities now.
Secondly, my last sentence already says what you seem to be preaching. “They need to do lot more” which means they still have opportunity to do it later, if they are good enough. If they do then great for Indian cricket.
Finally, these comparisons with MSD are too premature for Pandya. He already has a broken body, is a limited batsman who is modelling as an anchor when his USP was destroyer/finisher, bowls less too often, had a poor IPL as player and has showed his captaincy only in IPL so far. To label him next MS and to make it the main theme like Gaurav came out doing is fraught with danger. If he can be a captain as successful or even half as successful as MS then that will be awesome as that would mean at least one or two ICC trophies. Indians have had to wait far too long since the last one:

GK this is not the first time a match has been reduced than the actual quota due to rain, the groundsmen are not supermen to be blamed for it, the fans did witness a thriller and it wasn't easy for the CSK batters to go full throttle for the way Noor & Mohit bowled and end of the day, all we can say is the overall experience that brought CSK over the line.

Secondly, no it’s not equivalent to 240 in 20 overs even if the RRR per over was 12 because you still have 10 wickets in hand over a shorter innings so teams can be more aggressive with less margin for error. This is why no team has hit 500 in ODI cricket but plenty of teams have it 200 in T20s. You cannot simply extrapolate the same run rate over a longer period and say it’s the same. You should know this.

GK is very biased in this video. Yeah full 20 over match can also made difference in the result, but a team like GT should have defended 171 in 15 overs and CSK outplayed them. And in the first innings, the wicket was not tacky and it didn’t change as much as GK said.

I mean look at rcb, in 2016 they played q1 and the finals in banglore despite not winning in 2015 due to a drought in Maharashtra. They had home ground advantage but still ended up losing. Look at mi, they won two times by 1 run so anybody could say it was luck for rohit sharma but we just say well played. And btw in the half way mark even after the reduction all commentators except mathew hayden said gt still have an advantage.
@@poliidentity Yes I accept all of that, things happens within the game which provide more luck to one side and it never guarantees the result. CSK still had to play well to win, i accept that. My point is, their chances should have been even slimmer if it wasn’t for the generous DLS target reduction. It was weighted too heavily in favour of CSK. You can accept luck falling in the favour of one side when its something like a toss or choice of location because these things have to happen one way or another. The DLS method is something completely arbitrary and it’s formulae needs a retweak for the t20 game. CSK were basically asked to score less than a run a ball more than GT in 25% less overs with all 10 wickets. The fact the game was as close as it was was primarily due to GT still bowling well.

OK, this is irritating guys. Why is it when csk wins everyone keeps puking excuses? When they won in q1 people said it was unfair as it was their home conditions. Now csk bet gt at Ahmedabad and again excuses. If wet ball is the excuse then how many teams lost matches due to dew. So mi wins two times out of five by one run off the last ball and that is skill of rohit but of csk wins on the last ball it is luck for gk.

These experts don't understand what rules are. It's pre-decided how many overs to wait before losing overs. You can't change that stupidly for a single game. So no matter how many matches get disturbed by rain, there will always and there should always be a time limit after which overs should be reduced. As simple as that. You can't tailor the rules for every single game.

Huge let down and the worst post match discussion of championship final from cricbuzz.. Winning team is barely discussed about compared to runners up and to add to it , 2020 MI team is being discussed in 2023 championship post match between CSK and GT.
They are constantly saying MSD is lucky, but they don't know previous final (2019,2008) bad luck for MSD. This finals are very close for CSK win.
First time I'm disappointed with GK. He often isn't biased, but this time he seems visibly annoyed. Can understand if he's a GT fan, but not appreciating CSK much is bad form for the anchor of the show.

And coming to MS, 1. His batting performance has not affected the team but rohit's poor batting has affected his team in the last 3 years.
2. MS is still winning trophies by his captaincy and wicket keeping.
And most importantly, MS has won 2 trophies in last 3 years (21, 22, 23) when his team has "carried" him according to you whereas rohit has managed to just qualify for playoffs that too only once in the same 3 year period.

First 5 min was really low after the most favourite team of the tournament won that too with 10 required in last 2 balls...i like to see this show specially when gaurav kapoor is there but it was very low the way u started with a complaint that it was not a 20 overs match...171 of 15 overs was not easy in a final rather. Missed harsha but it was good to see him in the ground. In no world a show can start the way it started after csk win.

Mi is a great side but their secret sauce isn’t their captain but their resources and scouting. GT & LSG are better sides than others just the way last auction was designed. N the tournament is currently designed to help GT , but GT was beaten by CSK twice in playoffs. On a testing surface in chepauk, they were beaten in a one sided game . This was the closest ipl so let’s not discount CSKs triumph to luck going their way. They have lost most finals by needle edge margins. This isn’t dhonis luck but his leadership. CSK🎉

All r saying, rain & dls supported csk, as if it happened for the first time in cricket. If a wc final winner can be decided on no of boundaries, then anything could happen. Whatever the condition may be, chasing 171 in 15 ovrs, that too against gt bowling attack, in a tournament final, in front of 1L crowds is jst incredible. If u worry about rain, remember that's what the rule, that is being followed since long time & it's normal. Also dhoni took that risk of chasing in a tournamentsl final due to rain. When someone take the risk, he must get credit for the rslt

Cricket involves some chances. It’s never equal. Starts with toss. You feel for losing team when it’s tight game. CSK won and they deserved it, it’s not easy for batters to start-pause-start. Great entertainment and well done fans who stayed and watched it in ground
It’s probably one of the most underserved titles in my opinion. Rain and luck are definitely a part of the game but a completely unfair DLS target reduction shouldn’t be.
@@harifederer I too thought it would be around 185 target in 15 but seems they would cut 5 minimum scored overs from GT innings. Not sure how this score is calculated
@@harifederer DLS is DLS - there was no special DLS that was brought in for this match. The rules were known before the game (probably even before the tournament) and nothing was changed during the game.
It rained, playing conditions were assessed and target was revised according to the same set of rules that were agreed upon by the teams before the tournament began.

Toss and rain isn't in our hand but ee made wise decisions. So be as salty as you want. We lose with grace and accept it unlike few people here. GK you disappointed me.
