â What is MAC address?
A Media Access Control address, (MAC address), is a 12-character unique identifier, assigned to a network interface of any device, with a Network Interface Card, or Network Adapter.
All wired (Ethernet) and wireless network interfaces need to have a unique MAC address, to communicate with network segment. So all devices have a Network card with unique Mac address, i.e. Computers, mobile phones or routers, etc.
â Reasons to change MAC address (Physical Address):
The most important reason is privacy. Anyone in your local network can easily see your MAC address with simple tools. So when you go offline, anyone can use your MAC address and join the network as you.
The second reason to change MAC address is to bypass MAC address filtering.
Many of network admin restricts internet access by mac filtering, so you can change mac address (Spoof Network address) and bypass MAC filtering.

â How to find MAC address?
Open Command Prompt by typing cmd in the Windows search box:
Command to find mac address:
â getmac /v /fo list
displays you all list of your network adapters with MAC addresses
Command to find internet protocol configuration:
â ipconfig /all
displays all current TCP/IP network configuration values, where Physical Address is the same MAC Address.

All routers have a different interface but there is no big difference in the options
In the tutorial router (modem) model is Cabsat.
Find the routerâs IP address (Internal IP), itâs usually a default gateway. If you need help to find or reset your router to default settings, you can find helpful guides on this website:

Open your command prompt by typing cmd in the Windows search box, type ipconfig, copy and paste gateway IP into your web browser, and then enter user name and password to access your router.
Find Access Management âď¸ Filter.
Choose Filter Type: MAC Filter, Rule Type: Black List, Filter Rule: Interface set as LAN, Rule Type set as MAC, then enter your MAC address to the box (MAC address example: AE:42:FA:E5:14:19) and activate the rule, save changes.
So, the device with the following MAC address will not be able to access the router until the network administrator removes the rule from the router or the user changes the MAC address of his network adapter or network card.

Right-click on This PC and click on Manage, Under System Tools, Select Device Manager, Expand Network adapters
Find your network adapter which MAC address you going to change, right-click on it and go to Properties, Click on the Advanced tab, Find and select âNetwork Addressâ or âLocally Administered Addressâ
Then select the Value radio box and enter your new MAC address, to easily generate fake MAC address you can go to the following website:

To generate random MAC addresses, Choose none for symbol option, we donât need any symbols between the numbers and click generate button to generate random MAC address
â ď¸ One important thing, bear in mind, that your fake MAC address must have A, E, 2 or 6 as the second character, MAC address example AE42FAE51419.
If the second character does not match one of them, network adapters may not work properly.
â If you need to restore original MAC addresses, just go back to Device Manager, Go to Network adapter properties, In Advanced tab, Find and select âNetwork Addressâ, or âLocally Administered Addressâ and set radio box as Not Present.

Hi, net cut is also can scan the network, so first of all, it's better to set a static IP address on your local device (manually enter the IP address,) it is harder to detect the static IP than the IP from DHCP. Then change the MAC. If you want to change your MAC address easily and you do it often, try this tutorial, so you can change it using a batch file:

Hallo i have a question what if im on a camping were if you connect you after that need to login and pay to get internet acces and what if i then change my mac address to someones mac address who has already paid by doing: getmac /v /fo list do i then get internet acces for free?

Hello, maybe sounds like an offtopic post,, but i made all things to play my Fifa21 game on PS4..i couldn't port forwarding their ports, i deleted cache, online files, bypass router and i couldn't change my Nat type3..my console and the game works fine on other network or mobile hotspot but i want to use my wired connection at home..the speedtest is very good, but i don't get why is going so slow in menu game and at least i got disconnected..pls help me with some advice...Thank you!

I know I'm PRETTY late on this but yes if you have he same mac address as your Xbox mac it will show your pc is the same as your xbox, tldr yes it would work as intended, hackers used this mostly on open wifi with mac filtering and you can gain unlimited wifi access

Yes, you can easily reset router password by default, if you have physical access.
and yes you can cut the network without router there are some softs.

It should because the way they block your internet is with mac blocking so it should work but you will have to put your password in again because the router will recognise it as a new device
When I use to visit local library I use to spend a lot of time there the internet would kick me out after 2 or 3 hours of wi-fi use so I just change my Mac address and wala is like a new costumer arrive in the network you just renew the lease of the network timing thank me later if you experience the same problem

Hi, because this method works on workstations, not on Modems and routers, and if you change Mac on your modem you will lose internet connection from your ISP.

Hi, if you mean "wifi page" your router DHCP list, yes it possible, to hide his MAC, if he types his IP address manually and connects your router, then you can not find it in your DHCP list. so for that, you need an IP scanner and you will find all who are connected to your network.

Hi, I don't fully understand how your computer says something, but if you think that you have internet but you can not access websites then first of all check DNS, try to enter IP manually, follow the tutorial, it same steps for Windows 10, just some differents, I note below:

When you Open network and internet settings go to Ethernet and then click Change adapter options and 1 more thing in the Preferred DNS server field add 8.8.8.8 Instead of 192.168.1.1

@@arvinjohnagsalon4972 Yes if someone monitoring your Network (router) he may find a new MAC address that he doesn't know and he can easily block it, but you can change MAC again and so on until the Network admin doesn't block all MAC addresses and allow just that ones he likes.
