Skated here for the first time yesterday. Had to go back for more today. You can just feel the history here as soon as you step into it. Thank you, Nike.

People always talk shit about how Nike is "ruining skateboarding", it seems like in this case they did a pretty amazing thing for skateboarding so props to them
There are pros and cons to it.
At the end of the day all company do the same thing nike! just had a bigger platform coming in to skateboarding and kinda toolkit away! From all the other company such as etnies , fallen, lakai , and many other company's did get is much exposure so when the new guys come in and get signed by nike because there so good who get exposure nike, so it takes away for other company's. Nyjah , luan , Shane , prod , Eric koston ride for nike!

I was there recently to witness the heaven that is the new west LA courthouse. Stopped by there on a day of skating in Venice just to reminisce if you will only to find out that the place was completely renovated to what you see today. It was an amazing surprise and treat and cant wait to get back there. SOoooo many great memories at that place.
This spot has been going for so long, I remember the early Girl videos and 411 vids when Koston was a kid skating this spot.
Favourite trick has to be Chris Roberts' switch manny three shuv in Hot Chocolate. stomped it.

Anyone who makes a company is in it for the money, that's how business works, nobody is making a company to grow skateboarding all these guys are trying to make money off skating some skaters and some business men it's all the same in my opinion
Everything was different in the 90's skatings not gonna die at the rate it's at, street league and zuimez are just point less. I think the coolest part of that kid's line is after the crooked grind nollie heel out, he goes into a board stall on the ledge and then pulls his tail over it.
Those were the days....no worries about the world but full focus on the board and your set of wheels...off you go and skate!!

I think Nike is helping to progress skateboarding more so than many other companies have worked to. I also think people are hating on them for some really dumb reasons.

Yeah, I hear a lot of older guys put Nike and other large corporations down for sucking the soul out of skateboarding but this is really cool. They are putting someone in charge who has their heart in the right place. If they keep doing things like this, I may buy some Nikes.
I definitely recommend them. I usually don't go for corporate skate merch, but Nike really does know what they're doing when it comes to skate shoes.
I have tried them, the pair I skated had great control, but they weren't very comfortable and tore apart in two months. I just have a preference on shoes based on personal experience.

Hating nike became "cool" so most of the things you see on the internet is bullshit.
I am an emerica guy myself but to be real, my Romeros had the sole on the left shoe basically exploding after like two month (from the heel to like the middle of my foot it just separated from the shoe) and i might have done like two ollies in them, it was my "going to school" pair of shoes.
And my on my reynolds 3 the sole on my right shoe was just randomly popping out (bad glue i guess)
Basically outside of the G6 wich comes out as one of the best skate shoe ever (and i heard the figgy's are pretty good too) but outside of that emerica isnt that much better than anything nike does.
I've had a pair of Nike, the Satire and they skated good, felt really good and really the sole was so damn durable I liked them so much that I bought a pair of canvas to chill in.
People have no argument against Nike outside of "oh they arent from skateboarding they want to destroy it" nigga please why is nobody hating on Adidas and Puma then ? and technically, Converse is the same too.

it must have at least 50 skate stoppers and the ledges are chipped up pretty bad but kinda skateable.. no one sits on the ledges anyways some are too small and others are all black from waxing
