I was scared of the Flying Dutchman's Graveyard. I wasn't scared of Rock Bottom because several times when I fell off the edge Spongebob would spawn back in, except missing his clothes for some reason :/ His color was also darker.
I remember this game so well, and as a kid, invisible walls/boundaries used to bother me so much. I'd especially hate when enemy's went in a place where my avatar was prohibited. I just followed this glitch, went everywhere past the boundaries, and honestly felt relieved from all that stress that got to me as a kid, like I accomplished something. I thank you good sir
Aw man This and the movies game I played on the first Xbox till I got sick for being on it too long. Good memory's and it's good I see activity on the game and not left in the past because I hate when games get old and fall back like this, this is a classic.

The Movie Game was basically a linear rehash of Battle for Bikini Bottom. I'm not sure you'll find as much new stuff as you'd like, since the Movie Game recycled so much, but playing as Sandy is quite nice, the open world aspect is much more pleasant than I feel the linear gameplay of the Movie Game was, and BfBB is full of references to the show itself with plenty of humour in its original spirit. I'd really recommend it regardless.

I've away's wondered were that road on the other side of Rock Bottom lead. There are no path ways in Rock Bottom that lead up there. I wonder if it leads to something secret that we didn't know about.

Dragging the whole thing out was just something that I figured would be interesting, showing some kind of process behind it. If you're interested in something I actually put time into, there's the video where I beat the final boss without the cruise bubble or bubble bowl through some weird glitch I found that lets you clip through a wall.
Yeah, didn't know about the "improved" Hans glitch when I made this. I only came across the one that let you go through instant death boundaries instead of going past the red paint. This was a lot more about the journey than the destination, though.

I think that what you're referring to is "Slip Sliding Away," where you have to go down a slide on a timer to pick up the spatula at the bottom. Mr. Krabs will give it to you after going back to the main area from the Trench of Advanced Darkness. I have a playthrough of this game on my channel that shows its location if that's not good enough of a description.
actually if you do the hans disable glitch you can walk around rock bottom, and do the first mission that gary gives you before you talk to him. well atleast for disabling the brown sand that reanables hans, you dont need to do the gary part for boundries, just brown sand. my first part of the comment is out the window.

DominatorSuper Actually, I'm pretty sure it only happens when you're playing on the 360. I guess you're technically right, but there's a bit more to it. Other graphical glitches resulting from playing original Xbox games on the 360 include Spongebob's face becoming horribly distorted in a cutscene, Spongebob's eye exiting his body while on a bungee hook, Plankton's shadow being messed up, and things in other games such as shadows becoming giant grey cylinders and the wrong textures being loaded. The 360's Xbox emulation leaves a lot to be desired.
***** That's both unnecessarily convoluted and missing the point of figuring out a way to circumvent the wall yourself. If you just want to get past the thing, play with a moon jump code on. Otherwise, modifying the game itself is out of the question for what I set out to do in this video.
this is also how you speedrun the game because it removes the hand from the game. so many boindries are removed. although. anything that id endless can still cause the hand to come back
McClassicgamer There's another glitch that lets you walk past red paint, actually, so you can disable Hans entirely if need be. This game's pretty great for speedrunning, I think. I was working on a Spongebob-only playthrough for a long while (meaning skipping the boss battles and thus no cruise bubble or bubble bowl) with the help of a couple of speedrunners, but I only ever managed to get to 72 or so spatulas out of the 75 I need. It's amazing how much you can break in this game if you're patient enough and have good timing (which I don't).

That video uses it to walk around to the second portion of Bikini Bottom, but you need to use another skip with the spongeball to get to the third portion (because the third part of Bikini Bottom is completely surrounded by ground that you'll fall through).
It's a graphical bug that simply happens every now and then when playing this game on the Xbox 360. Just about any level can do it - Bikini Bottom, Downtown, Jellyfish Fields, Goo Lagoon, Spork Mountain, or Kelp Forest. It's not that rare.
On you posted this so long ago but I used that glitch and I thought it didn’t work so I went to the slopes on sand mountain and I fell off but I didn’t die so I can walk around sand mountain
It was on ps3 on the PlayStation store but they removed it because there was input lag and it was overall terrible quality, however if you have one of the first 2 ps3 models you are able to play ps2 discs on it

I know this is an old comment, but the bomb shells are implied to be there because of the robots. Same with the TP'd 'trees', hot sauce, etc.
