Complete recital of the Qasida al-Burdah with Shaykh Shabbir Sialvi

Presented to you in this video is the complete recital of the Qasida al-Burda, 'The Celestial Lights In Praise Of The Best Of Creation, ﷺ' composed by Imam Sharaf ad-Din al-Busiri, born in Egypt 696/1212, a scholar and poet whose poems in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ are still sung today throughout the Muslim world. For those who know them, they need little introduction, as their beauty is revealed in the gatherings they are sung.
Normally, glimpses of the Burda are recited or listened to, but here we have been given the opportunity to listen to it in its complete form. To get a taste of its actual beauty, it is advised to follow along with 'The Burda' book (copy link at the end of this description to purchase) which includes the Arabic text, translation and transliteration.
This recording is of the event which took place at North Manchester Jamia Masjid on 8/12/17 but edited to only show the recitation without any gaps or interruptions.
