I trim every month or so but I but hate shaving or waxing. It's more sweaty, smelly and uncomfortable in general when it's hairless, not to mention it looks like a child and that is so traumatizing.

I’ve always had issues with hair removal. I’ve had terrible abscesses which have left scars and we’re extremely uncomfortable. As a teenager I felt the pressure to do it, even if I wasn’t sexually active! Overtime, I’ve just accepted having some hair. I shave just to keep it under control now, but no way as frequently as I used to.
Neither should pressure someone to shave.. it’s really not that big of a deal. I would never ask or expect my boyfriend to. He can do what he likes, which means I can too ;)

One thing I heard discovered about body hair in general is it protects from insects, possibly by helping us sense them as the move past a hair or some other means of protection.
Also they're a tiny muscle attachment point from the hair root to the surface of the skin. That muscle contracts when cold to both heat the skin and squeeze the sweat glan right in between the root and skin surface, which moisturizes and benefits the skin.
So this implies body hair in general is not useless at least.
As for women's hair during copulation, it's probably generally agreed men do not like to have to hack through a forest.
But gently pulling hair out of the way seems plausible and might even work as foreplay since slight tugging on the female pubes releases pleasant hormones.
As for one last aesthetic thought, short and narrow female pubes may appear nice because of appearing like a line that blends in with the labia lips below, like having some flow or pattern. I think the reasons for having it is still up for debate and whether someone does or does not want any is up to them. Personally I dont like hair on me, but I dont care what my partner wants for themself. The hair is hard to keep clean when you have a heavy period for 14 days out of every month and the hair always itched like crazy when I did have it. Wash your genitials and practice safe sex and disease and infections shouldn't be a problem.

It's what happens when skin rubs against itself while wet. Be it sweat, water, or any type of liquid. It causes a rash and can actually get to a point where it starts bleeding, and then leave scars. I think the pubic hairs prevent the friction that is needed for chafing to happen from being a thing. But you do need to wash well and dry really well too.
Though its mostly gone unreported, its always a good idea to trim but not shave because apparently certain couples have had their hairs tangled together.
I won’t argue against not shaving because of this video’s listed reasons. But if we wanted to prevent putting a sharp object between two people who’re stuck, its best to trim it.

My husband and I both get rid of our hair down there as it tends to cause me great pain as I have very sensitive skin. I started shaving as soon as I got pubic hair as I'm a redhead and all the hair on my body is red especially down stairs and I was extremely embarrassed by it as I had never seen anyone with bright red pubes besides myself. As well as my mother and all the other women in my life all had there's removed and when I 1st got them I freaked out because I thought it was only a thing men got. I have to say I was pretty young around 8 or 9 years old and non of my friends my around my age had started puberty so I was very confused. Once I became sexually active I discovered that pubes actually really hurt me and would give me a horrible rash even when I had pubes as well because my skin is so very sensitiv.

I tried shave once, it was so bad and unbearable, it felt nice for day one or two but the next day the growing hair makes it worse, the itch and every time it rubs against my pants it feels so prickly it eventually irritate my poor skin, I honestly felt like having a worse day.. So I let it grow to protect me, occasionally trim it a bit... It honestly traumatize me and I won't shave it clean after what happened, like you can pressure me anytime you want but my comfort matters the most, I ain't gonna listen just because it please you and then I'm the one have to deal with the uncomfortable aftermath
