heh...never played Xenoblade X...no for me this is OLDER than Xenoblade, this was an anime version of the old game Armored Core..same designs, same way of customizing mechs, same mercenary set up, it was ALL like going back to an old friend. The only real differences for it from Armored core was the whole anime look of it and the fact you can actually control the pilot and give them a look instead of being a faceless pilot that controlled the mech. In the old AC game I played back in the day you were a faceless pilot so when your mech lost all it's health you failed the mission, there was no giant mecha bosses to take down like the 4th mission, and it was all very dulled down color wise since it was cell-shaded or anime themed past "pilot giant robot"...hell the missiles work the same way as AC...target lock was a little slow though from what I'm used to but then again you don't get a larger weapon pool to work with past the basic stuff..so later parts and missile packs may have a faster lock-on..wonder if the KARASAWA Laser Rifle will make an showing..it was the most powerful weapon in AC2, which is the one I enjoyed the most of the AC games back in the day..didn't really play much of AC5 on PS3 but it was still fun.
I’m seeing so many mixed impressions on this. I put some time in and personally I’m super excited for it. It feels like a super stylized Armored Core to me. I played the hell out of Armored Core 3 on the PS2 and this feels like a modernized version of that.
AC3 and SL are still my favorites in the series. This feels like the AC that I loved back then, so this demo made me one happy camper. Sure, there is still some work to be done, but this is an excellent start in my eyes.
I tried this game out and thought it was amazing, my biggest issue to be honest was frame rate. That and some mine visual bugs but those will likely be ironed out by release.
If anything, I'd just like for the enemies to stand out more. After I take out a small wave, I have trouble looking across the levels, trying to find the enemies that blend into the environment. Maybe some indicators? Anyway, it's extremely fun besides that.
Our anime Armored Core has finally arrived and I love it. I find it funny how so many compare it to other games but not bring up how it's the spiritual successor to the Armored Core franchise. From the AI commander to the insane stat micro management. 🤣

He's the producer of the game and was also the producer of the Armored Core series...this is his Armored Core gameplay near 1 to 1 but with a heavier anime slant..AC's most anime thing was the fact you pilot a giant robot as a mercenary...sound familiar?..Like many other anime but this right here to the anime look and RAN with it..the colors are much brighter than AC which was more muted even with bright colors on your personal AC and unlike AC where you are the pilot, faceless, and unable to leave your mech this game lets you create a custom pilot who can eject if your mech goes down and still be able to fight thanks to personal weapons and cybernetic upgrades. The missile lock on feels a little slow to me from what I'm used to in AC but this was 4 missions and limited weapons and parts pool...better weapons and systems upgrades could have a faster lock-on for missiles.
I think better haptic feedback when shooting weapons, getting hit by enemies, dashing around, etc would work WONDERS, I was trying to figure out why things didn't feel as impactful as in other games and I finally noticed that there was little to no rumble in the controller itself
Great review video PE Ninja Master. DxM Demo is very cool, neat and definitely very fun. I hope all the customization doesn't put people off tho. Overall this is gonna be a good game which will take none Mech players time too get used too all the Controls and Customizations but when Mastered a ton of fun is gonna be had playing this game.
I honestly have no idea where people got fps drops because I only got some when moving the camera in the hanger. Only played TV mode. But I am going to believe that and hope they fix it by release. The boss makes me think that the game needs more ammo drops or a weak emergency weapon you can use without ammo but has overheat or charge up time, just like your onfoot laser guns.
The game is not bad. The combat system needs a lot of work story needs more depth to but I see the potential in it. I think a few online aspects like pvp, team battles and raids would help strengthen the game give it an interactive community. Not really fussed with character customisation because its a demo but some diverse POC hairstyles would be nice for when the game actually releases.

It might break what they are trying to do, but I wished in the air your speed was way faster. The ground speed felt more reasonable, but in the air it felt slow. Overall, I wish your movement was faster too, this feels a little too much like what a mech would realistically move like, but I want to basically play an anime with high speed mech dogfights, something that moves like a faster star fox, but without automatic acceleration.
Played the demo enjoyed it. I didn't have an issue with the frame rate, but i'm probably just used to playing games with lower frames so unless it's really terrible it doesn't bother me to much. I will say though the aiming needs to be a little tighter and the UI needs to be cleaned up a bit. There's to much info in the middle of the screen that doesn't need to be right where the action is. Maneuvering your mech takes a bit to get used to but once you get a couple upgrades i found it pretty responsive.
It seems fun. Did the first mission. Checked out customizing the main charecter a bit. It seems great! But its also very stat heavy... i dont think its a matter of whether its good or whether its bad... i think its whether its for me or not.
I would add somethig like, if you click the right stick (R3) change the camera from the right shoulder to the left becuase it was a little bit unconfortable for me.
XBC X was much tighter in terms of controls & feel I found, the constant OUT OF ZONE message & area was a mass hinderance Hopefully it'll get better & improvements, still no were near ready But definitely has depth anakin's the customizations & stats etc
It's fun, but I found my mech auto shooting a bit odd, it makes it feel like the game plays itself, I thought it was a bit too easy until the end of the third and the boss fight, until at least I figured out how to actually kill him, but as a first boss I'd say that's fine, also they should make fighting melee mech fighters a bit different seeing all I had to do was constantly go backwards while firing, which simplifies the fights to a very easy and basic fight, this may change later in the game though
The game is very amazing I just unlocked a weapons with auto-aim and auto-Fire and my Arsenal looks beast now but my problem is upgrading your avatar, have a ugly(cyborg) look in them, I have a female avatar I upgraded her and now her legs looks like MegaMan legs it looks fugly that’s the only problem I have
I smell a delay coming for this game. Me personally I loved the demo the only problem I have is the framerate issue, but I'm reading slot of comments and people seem dissapointed. I'm trying to figure why they keep saying it feels like a mobile game.
Oj sorry mate but i was a little diaapointed with this - i was really looking forward to it but now im confussed because it just seems like a generic gundam / robotec clone - i hope i make the survey because i really want to help them pick it up - so much more they can do to this game to help it but at this stage its a wait and see when i could have been a must buy day 1
The mechanics were pretty good probably its strength- the city ruins looked terrible and i could hardly make out the enimies - when on the ground it was cool blasting around but every little bump stops the Javilin and took that excitement away - i really hope they listen to everyone and make a super mech game -

I feel this game needs way more polish. It is pretty fun to play, but it also come across prettt generic. There really isn't anything new here, and the narrative delivery seems pretty phoned in. I played through the demo and immediately deleted with zero reservations. I hope the final product is better than this.
Its fun and all but feels very plain and generic. I don't wanna say too much as it was just a demo and I'm not sure on price tag at this point. Could use some improvement but deff some potential.
honestly... the graphics are pathetic. in handheld mode there is so much aliasing it hurted my eyes... the controls are bad and the game is waaaaaaaaaay too slow...
The speed can be enhanced, and controls I heard can be mapped. As for graphics, now that is something I'd give feedback for sure. Maybe also increasing speed by default just a bit.
I’m so disappointed with the demo the movement feels clunky and slow and the shooting feels awkward and to top it off it’s just a generic mech game I’m not buying it

The way you can snip off your outer's limbs for cybernetics is kinda freaky.

There is an setting to increase rumble feedback in Options. Give it a try, see if it makes it better for you.

Man I had a blast playing this game. Just fine tune what they already have considering the framerates and I'm sold, day one purchase for me.
Seems odd they won't have competitive multiplayer with the whole mercenaries working different missions end up contradicting one another too

@mazrimalthor sometimes you'll be knocked out into by the immortals shield or Rush attacsks, if you go on twitter there's alot of footage from it

Thats the wepon ur using not all auto shoot. Though agree it does feel like the game playsnit self when you use those wepons.

I am glad it had a demo. I know now it isnt for me.
I personally think the mechs look far better in Xenoblade Chronicles X. Overall Xenoblade X looks superior overall so far.
