  • A wellness check in Detroit turned into something entirely different when police arrived at a home whose resident hadn't been seen or heard from in weeks. Unfortunately, the homeowner was found dead inside the home, the city's general service department director said. No foul play was suspected - however, police found something else when they entered the residence.

Being illegal is the least of the problem. How about animal cruelty. Alligators don't belong in a house. What kind of sad life would that be?! Disgusting!

Hopefully the sanctuary will be a good one. What you might know, that a lot of people don't, is gators will grow based on environment. If they are held in a small enclosure, they will only grow to the size of it, because their growth will be stunted. This poor gator might be older than it looks. You are right though, she does not look healthy.
I despise stupid humans who do this. I have rescued animals in many states, and that includes wildlife. I have gators in the canal behind my home currently. They are amazing and need to just be free to do their own thing...live.
