- A wellness check in Detroit turned into something entirely different when police arrived at a home whose resident hadn't been seen or heard from in weeks. Unfortunately, the homeowner was found dead inside the home, the city's general service department director said. No foul play was suspected - however, police found something else when they entered the residence.
Being illegal is the least of the problem. How about animal cruelty. Alligators don't belong in a house. What kind of sad life would that be?! Disgusting!
I agree.
somebody was found deceased and you’re worried about an alligator that’s concerning
@@itsbiggullyThe deceased person was cruel enough while alive to keep a wild animal in a cage. So, my concern goes directly back to the poor alligator. Period.
I know its 110 outside. Let me put this gator on the hot road so we can take some video
@@itsbiggully- yes because it’s the deceased person caused this!
That's so selfish to keep an alligator locked up. I'm happy it's going to an alligator sanctuary
Me too. Izzy is just a baby. No teeth yet..❤
You could tell that the alligator was extremely weak
That gator doesn't look healthy at all. His coloration is way off. he needs medical attention.
Hopefully the sanctuary will be a good one. What you might know, that a lot of people don't, is gators will grow based on environment. If they are held in a small enclosure, they will only grow to the size of it, because their growth will be stunted. This poor gator might be older than it looks. You are right though, she does not look healthy.
I despise stupid humans who do this. I have rescued animals in many states, and that includes wildlife. I have gators in the canal behind my home currently. They are amazing and need to just be free to do their own thing...live.
and it's missing alot of teeth, it really doesn't look good at all
Her*
@@WilliamsPinch Sorry I didn't mean to misgender the gator. Please don't call the rainbow police on me.
She needs medical attention !!! She doesn't need to be OGGLED like some side show attraction!
That poor thing doesn't look good. It wasn't cared for at all
Looks emaciated af
it was sitting without care for 2 weeks…
The owner was dead, of course it wasn’t cared for.
poor thing probably didn't want to be sitting on the hot asphalt... animal welfare should know better.
DEI?
They are cold blooded. They actually look for warm areas so they can lie down and bask. It was probably too cold in the house for a cold blooded being.
@@techshabby0001 cold blooded does not mean they like sitting on asphalt. too hot is still too hot. know how many reptiles get burned from heat rocks and heat pads each year? and those do not get as hot as asphalt in the summer...
It probably was loving the asphalt…. They will crawl out of the water to lay on it …..
Well when they in Florida and Louisiana they are in heat whether it grass or dirt
Poor gator. I am glad the dog and gator are safe.
That dog is NOT ok! Izzy looks sick. They both have been without food/water for weeks.
AMEN. But I think they were saying, okay to own. They both will get proper care. We will all make sure of this.. Pooor animals.😢
i mean yeah the owner is dead i’m sure those days she’s been dead couldn’t feed them including the dog the been dead they did a wellness check when your gone for so long could have been a month or a little less then a month but wellness checks if they don’t hear from u people family owner of the apartment or house for a long period of time that’s when they do wellness checks and that was the case
Sad to see that gator in that tiny cage. I hope both pets find happiness.
So you think a German shepherd is ok without food for weeks??? How stupid!
They were saying is ok as a pet
DEI
@@imaninternettroll1660 all the democrats illegals gets more food and care than every detroiter..
Yes the German Shepherd crossed over the border illegally too. Thanks to Joe Slow Biden now he gets $1,000 on the credit card 💳 for dog food a month on tax payers dollars woof woof
That gator doesn’t look like it’s healthy at all.
Hello, that pavement is hot!
It a be alright
Aww...how considerate of you!❤
They're cold blooded. I'm pretty sure it doesn't care
@@myp5hornjust because they’re cold blooded doesn’t mean they don’t get burned by hot pavement
Y’all know they are warm blooded right? Like it don’t work the same way as you and I. They bask in heat. They like hot areas. Y’all got a LOW IQ
I bet the alligator has a higher IQ than the owner did
Definitely has a higher I.Q. than the parents who let their keeeids attend block parties.
😂
And a bigger heart
Facts 😂
Her poor mouth looks pretty beat up. Missing so many of her bottom teeth. Poor thing😭
alligators are not pets, sheesh.
Actually yes, they are pets, you imagined that they aren't kept as pets.
Bless the hands that rescue and protect all living creatures.❤
Amen❤
That alligator should be taken to Louisiana, or Florida.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Davie, Sunrise, Pembroke Pines, or Weston.
No thanks we have enough
Agreed. Why Michigan? 😮
@@debbiehansen7317😂❤
They don't release pet alligators. There's alligator sanctuaries like gator land and others
Get her off of the concrete!!!! You're burning her!!!!
Honestly! Gee I wonder why she seems upset. Stupid people.
Oh please. Big baby. It has hardened scales. It's fine on concrete
They love sun bathing
They live in extremely hot environments. What are you talking about
The gator was fine on that concrete. Living in Florida we have a pond in our backyard and they sun them selves in the grass and venture on the sidewalk and lay in that hot sun on the sidewalk. She was fine.
I’m sick of people abusing animals
Why don’t we have a law to held people accountable
The law are not putting fear into people that why they keep hurting animals
Bigger problems in the world, D0D0
I totally agree!😢
@@saraht170shut up. You can be concerned with two problems not just one.
There is a new law actually. Look into HSLF and Animal Welfare Act.
that alligator is the least dangerous animal in detroit
How dare you make a comment referring to Detroit residents mainly Black…, Prejudice you are 💥
Oh no. It took me a while to get the joke. Sad!
@@seeval3871where did that come from? Detroit is way dangerous! Im from Chicago and terrified everytime I have to drive through Detroit to get to Niagra, it is horrible!! And Chicago is dangerous. Detroit is way worse! No color involved but you brought it up. Who here is really the Racist? 😂
@@seeval3871 mainly black how? Whites grew tails and grow furr not hair you understand that right
And u kraka a()( krakas are invreed😂😂😂
Poor thing. People suck
Having an alligator in Michigan is cruel
That person keeping the alligator needs to be prosecuted for animal cruelty!
The person was found deceased. They died.
If that's the case what about farm animals. They go through the horrific alot.
That gator is raggity like everything on the east side.
I'm so so glad you found the alligator and I hope you're sending it to Chris Lowe. They're an excellent alligator rescue, but I'm wondering what your animal control officers are thinking having that animal on that hot black top. Instead of putting it on the grass, it looks a little abusive to me
That was a beautiful alligator. I hope it has a lovely life at the sanctuary where she can get healthy and have all the room she needs.
That deceased person deserves jail time
Poor alligator. They are not meant to be locked in a cage in a house.
How did the dog survive??
Right! For weeks…!
Poor baby looked really sad 💔
It ate the other alligator.
@@LilyJ0000I see it too :( ❤ Poor dog
Poor thing can’t even hold himself up, let him rest already.
That person should be charged for illegally having this alligator as a pet.
...... The person is dead
She has been abused. Why are they putting her on asphalt and filming her. Beyond stupid. Just as bad as the owner.
He will happy in his new home at the Critchlow Alligator sanctuary
Omg...I hope it's not Wally the support gator that was stolen in SC
😂
No it's too small and it's a female, Wally is male and much larger. Btw he was stolen while in Georgia, the trapper said he said it free after someone stole him. There hasn't been any news on Wally for 2 months now. I doubt they'll find him alive.
Also, the animal control person was talking to the alligator like it was a dog. Weird.
How would you expect them to talk to an alligator? 😂
That poor alligator needs MEDICAL ATTENTION!!! She doesn't need to be OGGLED and treated like a side show attraction!! DISGUSTING!!!
Poor animals , glad they got help .
That's so sad, those poor animals.
It has no teeth.🥺✌️
Thank you for Saving Izzy! She is just a baby. She is just teething. YOU SAVED HER LIFE! BLESS YOU ALL!💜🙏🫂
Thankful for those observant neighbors yo report her missing which led to the animals being saved.
She just wanted a better life away from the swamp.
take it back to the d.c. swamp..
Wtf is an alligator doing in Detroit?!
Poor gal, glad she is going to somewhere safe
And the dog!
Its that simple? No, you're simple. The people that do this type of stuff do not give a hoot about ordinances.
There needs to be a Federal exotic pets law 😂 Dayyum
Omg send it to Florida or Louisiana whete it belongs not in winter wonderland Michigan!
Get that poor alligator off THE HOT PAVEMENT…🤯🤯
Poor alligator shouldn’t be abused like that 😢 shouldn’t be kept on the hot asphalt
Aw take him too the reptile zoo in California . They will take great care of him . 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yes they would!
Detroit is the real life Gotham City
This is sad. Poor thang. Crazy people in this world.
Dam that sucks...poor gator
Has anyone else noticed this poor thing doesn't have much teeth?? Looks as if they were pulled out at some point! They need to press charges on the person/people who they rescued her from!!!
Shame on this news station for not getting that animal out of the heat and cameras to safer conditions and treatment. Due your interview in a different location that the animal can at least be treated.
The pavement is HOT !!! Animal control should know better !!! WTF ???
Its gator rescue in Michigan, I think the lady said she has 200 of them
Reptile Dysfunction 🤣
People are just stupid..
What is with these crazy people in that city?
Glad she found her way to a good home and that this person will never be able to do that again. Wtf is wrong with people.
Happy it is going to a sanctuary..seems like a lot of caring comments on here as well❤
Unreal
i hope she is ok, poor girl....
Poor garor and dog 😮 I hope they both get a good home and live a long life. Best of luck in life Izzy
Sick and cruel.
Them churdren ain't lying, i'm the alligator man...🤣🤣🤣😒
Awe poor baby I hope she’s OK
Lmao she cant say "ask" only "ax"
Its the same gator from doughboy cashout video 😂
I thought the alligator ate the owner 😂
Why would they sit there and do a whole interview with the gator instead of taking the gator to help asap?
Because, my friend, people are stupid. As usual, they’re more concerned with making a spectacle instead of helping this water creature on hot concrete. Shame!
That poor swamp puppy is dried out I was expecting it to turn to dust on screen. Sad.
Good way to dispose of the evidence.
EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ALLIGATOR
Terrible condition. So happy it will have a new life
This was in an episode of atlanta. Amazing Detroit. So proud.
Horrible. Cruel. The dog was petrified and was probably going to be fed to that gator. Makes me ill
Lmfao, do you know how big that alligator would have to be to take down that dog?
Surprised it wasn’t a Detroit lion!😂
How is that gator going to live out doors in Michigan do they have an indoor sanctuary for in the winter
that is not a healthy alligator, missing teeth, missing toes...no telling what their general health is.
Poor thing. Look at his poor teeth.
She needs water more than the ☀️ sun. Louisiana here what does Detroit know about alligators.🐊
Many thanks to the alligator Sanctuary! ❤❤❤
That's terrible .Animal Cruelty at its worst.i hope they rehome the Alligator.
The only thing I’ve ever seen was a law that says you can’t tie your alligator to a fire hydrant
Omg not the turtles 😭
That thing hasn’t seen U.V rays in years in bet….smh.
Poor animals..
“You get the pitcher.” No. We get the PICTURE
Alligator 🐊 no way
The dog found is “ok”? She looks traumatised and sad I can tell by her eyes
Awwwwwwww.....the poor thing.🐊
Wait please tell me they rescued the German shepherd too! The alligator looks sick so I can’t imagine they’re taking good care of the dog either
The aligator looks sick and GET IT OFF THE HOT PAVEMENT.
Wow look at the nails on that guy
Its the heat of the street she wanted to get away from .. How mean
🐊
*How hot is that concrete?*
It looks more like a crocodile, maybe hybrid?
Sad. That alligator is not healthy.
