Great to have you back, Professor! You were of inestimable value to me and my colleagues in our early medical school years. 7 years later; One is now a Doctor, and still finds your videos most informative. The journey continues... 🙏🏿
I just realized how much I miss your videos. I used to binge watch your physiology videos in my foundation year and now I'm a third year medical student. All the love and support to you professor.
You were my biology professor 12 years ago, now I came across this to help me with my local anesthesia class! And it's nice to see you still have a passion for teaching!
If I go to my dentist and get local anesthetic (lidocaine) I am fine, except for a few times when I did not have a meal prior to the procedure - and the anesthetic became ineffective - why is this. What makes the sodium channel blockage ineffective. I am not anxious about dental work.
There is no risk of seizures from the use of lidocaine in dentistry. (The dosages used are low, and they are administered intradermally and NOT into the bloodstream.)
@@professorfink Okay I just read like 2 or 3 stories that people had a seizure after there injection of lidocaine at the dentist and it really has me worried

Hi professor! It is possible to have a seizure while getting Lidocaine? I have to get my upper teeth out next week and I'm terrified of that
