Ok got mine today. DEAR GOD TY FOR THIS GUIDE !!! Mounted new Gopro 8 mount reverse (the plate) fixing now..Thumb screws are SMALL. Needs to be bigger or wing nut like.I assumed a camera (never even seen a gimbal before) slipped in..like in 1 second and it just worked.This whole thing is...err.. fiddely.. for a first time ever owner/user.
I see no charge LED (I.E. red charging , green = done) how do I know when done ?

I just bought my FeiyuTech G6 Max a week ago from a friend. No instructions came with it--didn't matter I guess because I don't speak/read Chinese. The video was extremely helpful. The only one that seemed to answer my basic questions. I may watch again for review. Right now I'm recharging the gimbal because it was dead when I took it out. It looks like it will be a nice equipment upgrade for my channel.

Isn't the lens supose to be away from the motor, to help charging on the go with the charging port available?

Hi, simple question, once you've inserted the battery and screwed the cap back on, how do you charge the battery? Do I connect via the USB cord to the power supply adapter I use for my phone?
Hi Evan,I liked your video and the process. It worked great the first time. i put it away and just when I was ready to use it … problems. I am frustrated with the G6+ unit looking to balance it. It constantly shakes loudly and no matter what I try balancing it it just seems not to work properly. What am I doing wrong? I am balancing the G6+ with a SONY RX100V. It worked once and was flawless. Now it does not work well. Can you help me?

Just received the g6 it came with a faulty charging cable that will not charge the battery. The horizon is off considerably when gimbal is turned on even after horizon calibration and perfectly balanced.. Definitely returning it. It sux because i had a g5 that worked perfectly.
Hi Evan, I've just got mine but I've got some questions:
-First, I don't arrive to record. I did get Feiyu On App and Vicool App either but it's not working... Or quite badly with Vicool. How can I manage making it working please?
-Second, I'd like to manage my cam to focus on and follow an object/person while moving, it's not working either.

When I turn my gimbal, it doesn't turn straight, and takes a while for it to level up again. Obviously filming this isn't what we want. I'm going to do a test tomorrow but I can't understand what's wrong? If I've not balanced it correctly or there's an issue with the gimbal itself
the tripod you linked looks smaller than the one shown in your video, can you confirm it's the same?

@@EvanThomas I have the same camera and the same gimbal.
My gimbal has the same problem - it vibrates when I tilt it down or up.
The camera is too heavy and hangs forward. And this is no way to balance it. You balance the tilt to the left or right, but not the tilt forward

Hey Evan. I just ordered my g6 and when I put the charger in at first it showed the normal battery charging icon on the screen, but after turning it on then putting it back to charge, the icon doesn’t pop up. I’m letting it charge for 3 hours to see if it’s just maybe completely dead. But after about 30mins it still hasn’t popped up. A bit worried about that.

Evan Thomas no sir. Battery is either defected or gimbal port isn’t working to plug in the micro usb. I contacted Amazon and they’re sending a new one. I’ll keep you updated as how the new one goes. I bought a battery charger port for 26650 batteries. Gonna maybe try that out and see if it’s a go, if not I’m just gonna have to wait. It’s a bit disappointing because I know 120$ is not a lot for a gimbal, but for that price things like this shouldn’t be this bad. Charged my battery for over 20 hours. First night I tried it didn’t work, how I stated the OLED showed the battery charging icon then it disappeared, I heard that’s normal. After charging it for three hours not one bit of battery was charged. So I let it be for the night then returned the following day. I plugged it in then the OLED screen showed the battery charge display maybe 3-5 times? Not too sure, but it was a couple times. Let it be from about 8:30AM onto maybe 20hours + charging, still the same problem.
Evan Thomas No sir. I contacted the retailer from Amazon that sold me this product and they have sent me a replacement coming on January 7. I will let you know the update of everything because I would like this comment to show everyone that this battery problem is a big thing and I’ve seen it a lot in many comments. I’m getting a 26650 battery charger and going to see if charging the battery in a different way might work and that means the gimbal board has a problem. Will keep you updated, your video is great and very informative.
Evan Thomas I just got a replacement. The battery comes with a blue or black wrapping around which says 26650 Battery, 5000MaH etc, when I take off the wrapping around it should look like some metal battery, right? Just so I’m a bit more detailed with the process for that. Thanks for everything

My name is Theodoros Siabalis, I am a customer and I am writing with a view to ask some additional information about the gibal G6 model which I've bought ten days ago from Greece (Europe).
I am currently facing a problem with the trigger (button) , while holding it pressed,
it doesn’t lock (does not enter the lock mode) although it should be . The gibal and the keyboard were recently updated.
Are there any suggestions concerning why is this happening and how we could allow the machine (the trigger button) to enter a lock mode as soon as we keep pressing the button as we should ?

My G6 arrived yesterday. Was a bit wary after watching other videos , but upgrade firmware via the app with no problems at all. But to my surprise, after the upgrade there is no Osmo Action listed in compatible cameras. Sjcam and Yi been added but no Action. You have to be joking FeiyuTech ?? No support for one of the best action cams currently on the market.
