G’day mate. We love the new rig, it’s been bloody awesome thus far 👌🏽 can’t wait to share our next video, the fishing was unreal on day 2 of the trip !!
Damn that was soo cool you say hopefully he makes it through the sharks and just then a shark passes in the water just to the right of the bottom screen WoW 9:55
Hey mate ran into your videos on TikTok and love the content - I’ve never caught a GT. It’s my dream fish but I’m unfortunately from NSW hahaa so will need to get up north!!
How much fall in the tides i there on the flats out there ? also how much danger is there of getting stuck 0n flats once there? love the video by the way guys.
Gday Pat. There is usually only a couple meters in tidal movement way off shore ! Yep plenty of danger out there getting stuck on the reef and trapped in blue holes etc, we’ve clipped a fair bit of reef over past few years, poor boats - just learned to accept it now as part of what we do ! Biggest key is to slow everything down and just poke along safely 👌🏽 hope this helps
Coral trout don’t survive if they’re caught in depths over 10 meters (same as Fingermark/Golden Snapper) so that trout probably didn’t survive guys, keep ‘em for the dinner table next time! Red emperor are different though so the red you released will live to fight another day 👍🏼👍🏼
@@willandmaryoutdoors8645 No worries, there’s a fair few articles/studies on barotrauma and fish… I just google the species I’m chasing and barotrauma and usually get a hit 👍🏼
Any fish with barotrauma would not realise like that fish so yeah I get it but in that case that fish was right to be realised and would have survived well.
Running the new Saltiga Rough Rides, they are surface / subsurface lure, pulls the fish out of their hidy hole ! We think it was actually a Mouri cod possibly ? Very pretty creature none the less !
@@willandmaryoutdoors8645 The Garuda,,, thanks for the fast reply ,,, I just prescribe with your channel ,, Do you think this rod good with Certate 6K? Thank you again
The first fish you caught was a Slatey Bream (also called a QLD morwong) you did the right hung throwing it back… very poor quality tablefish. Some people call them mother-in-law fish meaning if you keep it for eating… give it to your mother-in-law!
Yes! No big talk, for baits or rigs, just a beautiful fishing day, together ,, right in North Queensland, well done , I’ve subscribed

13:30 was a flowery cod, you should have eaten that. Better than trout.
True ?? We actually thought it was a Mouri Cod 🧐
