Total income 700000
•0 to 3lakhs 300000*0%=Nil
•3lakhs to 6lakhs = 300000*5%=15000
•6lakhs to 9lakhs=
100000*10% = 10000
Total tax for income 7 lakhs is 25000. Rebate u/s 87 given only for individual having income below 7lakhs is 25000. Therefore tax liability gets nullified and becomes zero.
