In this fishing video I encounter a really crazy and unfortunate situation. After a day on the water fishing a kayak bass fishing tournament, I run into a man at the boat ramp high on drugs who threaten to kill me and kill himself. The cops were called and it escalated even more from there!

My cousin & I were fishing on a Narrow river once & there was some people who were in a big surf boat & they were wakeboarding, there were a lot of people who had John boats like us who were fishing also & every time they sped past people they were throwing up big waves almost capsizing the smaller boats people were complaining to them about it & they didn’t stop , they were flipping people off & cursing people out , well my cousin & I were fishing by some big concrete pillars that were sticking out of the water & they were at full speed running towards us with no intention to turn my cousin having a conceal carry permit pulled his weapon & fired up in the air , still they were running full speed toward us so he let one go into there hull of there boat , I guess they got the hint after that because shortly after that they packed up there boat & waited on us to come back to the boat ramp . When we got to the boat ramp there was police waiting on us & they asked use what happen & we told them , the other party denied ever doing what they did but I had it on camera & they didn’t know this . I show the police the camera footage & they ticketed the other party for what they did because they were not allowed to wakeboard on that river because of it being narrow & they arrested the driver for putting other boaters in jeopardy in doing so . My cousin was never arrested because of firing his weapon because are life’s were in danger however they did check to see if everything was legit with his permit for the weapon . A few months down the line the owner of the big boat tried to take my cousin to court for damages done to his boat & lost the case because he was in the wrong .
Mental instability is such a sad thing. That being said, "You know the earth is flat?" "That's what I've heard" did make me laugh. Good job on removing yourself from the situation and calling in the gang that gets paid to handle things like this.

The man was clearly only making threats in the hope one of these lovely fellows would end his life for him. He didnt want to die its more of a cry for help you dont know his situation so think its unfair you label him a "wacko"

There's way too many clowns trying to get content by annoying cops, post offices, all sorts of government buildings and now even private businesses just to annoy people and get reactions. Most call themselves "auditors" but basically they are just out to cause trouble, annoy people and get views on YT. I'd love to see more of them getting arrested, which is something that very often happens because they think they know the law but don't.

In ten years if that alligator bites you and you give it the remedy it needs you'll be in court trying to prove it was self defense. Especially if that gator identifies as a croc

Brother man you did the right thing by getting away from that Man and getting yourself safe. I was a Correctional Officer for 28 years and seen some crazy stuff throughout my Career, but that was definitely a 5150 moment. When you deal with this in a nearly weekly basis you just know when someone is not stable. Prayers to you and definitely to that man that if the worst didn't happen and he get's the help he needs.

I had a similar situation at the same park last year. That park is a magnet for shady people. Dude got mad at me cause I didn’t have a lighter screamed loudly and flipped off the dock and swam with the current screaming till out of eyesight.

I had one ask me to let him know when the tide was coming in so he could move his stuff back, I told him the tide was coming in and he thanked me but he didn't move his stuff so his crappy radio got soaked and he started yelling and cussing at me and threatening to kill me because apparently I didnt tell him... then a passing Jetski rider caught his attention so he started cussing at him for scaring all the fish away before leaving.

Well, that was one hell of a first kayak tournament for me. Definitely unfortunate circumstances with that gentleman. I did learn a ton, and hope to continue doing these tournaments. Thanks Alex for letting me tag along.

It’s definitely not fun homie, I found a dead homeless dude at Third Creek on thanksgiving day 2 years ago… it was the first night of the year it was below freezing and he froze to death… I still think about it but nothing you can do… I even called to see if they identified him or contacted his family and they wouldn’t tell me nothing….

Just a casual kayaker, but I do love my Hobie. Super easy to peddle around the lakes. Your Hobie looks amazing as well.
LIVE ACTION!!! Never a dull moment in the current! Iv said it time and again boat ramps can be sketchy places. Keep your head on a swivel stay straped PFD, firearm, and phone. Good out come all in all safe entry and exit from the water, the scenario was not escalated and the appropriate authorities were alerted, to get the man the help he desperately needed. Way to go Alex for keeping your cool and still making it to scoring 👍 👏 😎

Mine is a Hobie PA 14 I love it. I fished out of an Old Town Predator (the kayak Jacob was in) and loved it as well. I’d suggest either one.

I love my little sticky pocket holster - I’ll run it in my pocket until I’m on the water and then I put in my dry box - in this situation I pulled up and slipped it out of the dry box into my bibs before getting up to the ramp.

You’ve prob already seen this but since you’ve broken multiple rods in the last couple months- Greg Blanchard turned me onto the CalCoast Rod Mule and that thing is awesome; haven’t broken a rod since I bought it and they permanently live in the bed of my truck.
