Diablo 3 - Easy HC Season Start

This is mainly for people who aren't comfortable leveling in HC.
With the Altar, just complete the leveling in SC. And then, do the Season Journey in SC, but make sure to leave one of the Chapter 1 or 2 requirements untouched.
Whatever you complete the Chapter on (SC or HC), that part of Haedrig's Gift will be locked to that mode, and any subsequent completed Chapters. That is, you can complete Chapters 3 & 4 in SC, but if you complete Chapter 2 in HC, Chapters 2-4 will have their gift unlock in HC. And the Gift will be Level 70. Typically, most people will just avoid transmoging, as that's a Chapter 2 requirement.
Basically:
Level to 70 in SC.
Complete Chapters 1, 3 & 4 in SC.
Finish Chapter 2 in HC.
Level HC character to 18.
Complete Chapter 2 in HC.
Collect your 6 piece in HC and crush your way to 70.

For the overall season, I'd probably look to other people. I'm not really the best person to answer that question.
