@@rayirth.upside-down It's not just heavier. So much of the Model S Plaid is engineered basically for drag racing, with slight more thought put into track racing as well. Things like suspension, tires, even the load and release on the batteries is not the same.

If any of you are wondering why the Tesla launches so well, it’s that the electric cars get their torque immediately compared to a internal combustion engine (gas engine) not hitting peak torque until about 5-7k rpms. Torque is simply how hard the car can pull or how much power is distributed to the wheels.
Also the Tesla would’ve gotten whooped if the drag strip was like 1 1/2 times bigger because the internal combustion engines get more power after they get to the lower gears.
