I also live in Missouri....when is the best time to dig Golden seal? Also do u dry them? This is so cool! I can't wait to get out and go looking for these!

The best time to dig it would be late summer early fall after the berries mature for the season. Yes you dry them, after a good rinse of water the majority of the dirt should be cleaned off, after that dry them and then find a good root buyer.

Kinda surprised you found as many as you did.. on my place the golden seal was about 90% over 4-5 weeks ago. But that’s a great sign if it’s lasting that late in the year means you have ideal conditions for sure.

It's a great location for sure that video doesn't do it justice normally in early summer the entire area is just covered in goldenseal. I plan to do a video next year to showcase how much is actually there.

Sure do! Not sure how much it's bringing this year but It's usually around $35 to $75 a pound.

I have dug big patches of golden seal before

I have a few patches that are much larger than this area. I keep waiting to late in the year and most of the plants are already gone for the year before I get there. I'm going to try harder this year to actually get in and dig when it's good. Thanks for Watching I really appreciate it!

Is it 65$ a lb dry?

All the prices for everything are different every year. I can't give you an accurate price for any of it. That is something you need to ask someone who buys roots I just dig them.
