I LOVE GOTHIC CULTURE,FROM CASTELS TO PAINTINGS,FROM LORD BYRON TO EDGAR ALAN POE,FROM LITERATURE TO MOVIES,FROM POETRY TO MUSIC ETC,ETC...I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT YOUR MUSIC IS AMAZING,ASTONISHING BEAUTIFUL,MY SOUL IS BLEEDING WITH SO MUCH BEAUTY.
I love listening to stuff like this when I'm walking around outside and letting my imagination go crazy and inspiring me in my art

it's such a lonely sounding piece. like there's just desolation and silence for the entire expanse of eternity before you. untouched and untouchable. ancient yet somehow pristine like it's new.

I love this group and now I love this song.
Their music allows us to see the beauty in the darker aspects of the soul and the world, while not emphasizing evil. Truly the best Gothic music I have ever heard has been by Nox Arcana.
The sight of those angels, and the haunting, yet soothing melody really sends a chill up my spine. It reminds me of people who i knew before they passed away :'(

i use to live right next to this ancient sacred cemetery in the ravine always go to the broken rotted wood bridge to cry as a child when abused the spirits down there so amazing but some literally take the air from you and don't let you speak only tears

I walk cemeteries and graveyards that have the most interesting architecture and statuary. Listening to this type of music while doing it definitely enhances the experience. I would suggest this to everyone interested in crypts, mausoleums and statues, as well as good Gothic music.
I discoverded their music while i was in a goth blog. nox arcana was in the blog´s owner playlist and i loved it x)

He's referencing the weeping angels as they are just statues when you see them but then you blink or you look away then they'll come at you at rapid speeds and kill you

this is madness...woodlawn cemetery was my favorite hiding place as a child and this statues and their expressions are still so familiar and full of memories also im a big fan of NA. to me this was quite a treat. thank you!

I discovered these through a RPG site that offered links to sites that sold background ambience music for playing sessions. Certainly fits a more gothic or ominous dungeon setting.

Ditto here. My opinion onwhat Goth is is being able to see your darker side, yet being able to understand and embrace it. People who claim it is something evil have no understanding of the many gray areas in our supposedly black and white world of ideals.

I grew up there and have family members buried there, kind of weird seeing it show up in a video, but I grew up in a beautiful big house on a tree lined street in The Bronx, it is not all what you see in the movies!!!

the angel had been denied her love; her lover had been human and had all to quickly received death's soothing cold inbrace. She has waited for him to be reborn to her. It has taken an eterity of 200 years. but finally the pure sad angel finally gets her wish and is with him again. But he can no longer remeber her and turns her down; going after another human women instead. leaving the angel in the dust with her broken heart.

The interesting thing about this song: It sounds deceptively easy. It's actually quite difficult to play on the piano. A lot of tricky coordinations between the hands.
It sounds no less beautiful for that, though.
love the song, but madeline is not a character I remember from Poe's works. Who was she? I asked my mom who loves poe and she said she was one of the murder victims of the rue morgue story.
