- **Note: Please be advised that the mother received tons of alone time, separated from the puppies and would happily let the puppies nurse from time to time up until the 5/6/7th weeks. They are completely transitioned to solid foods at this age, with the odd exception. This is completely normal and healthy. Mom also ate her OWN food alone, she is simply snacking on the pups food in these clips. Puppies chasing Mom and in turn being disciplined by Mom is a part of the weaning process and these are simply a few clips I got of them sneaking in some nursing.

Hahaha!!! That is one patient mom! Between them nursing on her and eating her food, she just didn’t get a break! Was funny as anything watching her run when she’d finally had enough! You can tell how much she loves them though! Thanks for sharing this moment of cuteness overload! ❤️🐾

I have four GR, one mother and three female pups (she only gave birth to three) The mother was already called Sophia so we called the pups, Rose, Blanche and Dorothy, they are our golden girls !

I would suggest putting the her dish on a higher platform so she doesn’t strain her neck when eating, I would also separate her from the pups, so she can have some time to herself to eat in peace.
The correct position for dogs to eat is from the floor height it gives them more time to bite on what they are eating ,gravity helps which reduces choking

I feel sad for the mother with that huge litter of puppies cause I seen a 3rd golden retriever in the background I assume 1 is dad and there’s prolly a 4 th around there so I’m wondering how many pups has these mama dogs put out cause they clearly are using her AS A MEAL TICKET! The world is over populated with dogs that are unloved and EUTHANIZED DAILY 😢so seeing stuff like this pi$$es me right the F OFF!
