No, they are just slightly country, that's why you didn't hear them on country radios. There music has lots of far too heavy rifs in it to be country. Which is also why they play Sturgis more often. The crouds in Stirgis are mostly heavy classic rock.
@@jamalmcgrath810 I respect your opinion and you're right they have 'fingers in many musical pies' but despite heavier riffs their music oozes a strong country feel and I can see how it could be on country radio! BBS are lit ✌️

These guys are one my favorite bands. I seen them live in Charlotte a few weeks with Aaron Lewis and IMO they blew him and his band off the stage and definitely should have headlined the show. Way too good for radio.. all their stuff is phenomenal.. Thank you guys for bringing us awesome music in a world full of radio crap!
I am not a country music listening person,but southern rock I love . Everything seem to be predetermined by the Allman Brothers then Skynard , then this powerful band I saw at Sturgis in 2013 then as I returned to Albuquerque there they were again at this local bar, I saw them again at Sturgis last August. I just can't get enough. I don't:really considered them just country. There style and look is more Southern Rock , specially when Charlie Starr was wearing bell-bottoms in one of their videos. I don't care what you country folks might think,but this is a solidly Southern Rock band. Country musicians just don't do this !

Hendra ,you and your dad are just where I am. I was The Allman Brothers in 1970 in DC and 3 other times, Greg's piano playing ,writing and his blues voice is inpecable. Then came Lynyrd Skynyrd, and now Blackberry Smoke. It's right that this should happen. One following the other. Charlie Star it again, right at the top . Seeing him at Buffalo Chip, Sturgis with Ozzy , Dubbie Brothers ,amoung many in this line-up just was the best Sturgis show I have ever seen. I am glad to hear you and your dad appreciate this great band that have won their first gold album in just a few years. They definitely will go far !!!

We saw Whiskey Meyers and BB Smoke Charlie Starr one was in Buckhead the other in Decatur I think. Both fantastic! Going back to see both as soon as they are here. BB Smoke will be here the day after Thanksgiving and we are ready to find 5 tickets for that one. Whiskey Meyers is awesome too. Will be seeing him too.

Saw them live on December 8th. You could tell that they wanted to get the show over. It was the last stop on the tour, and it was an add on because it was to make up for a cancellation from May. So I think if they seemed a little bit tired, they were entitled. All I know is that I am a huge fan of the band, and it's all good.
