That looks like such a good time! I'm so glad the weather seemed to cooperate!

Nice video. We reside in South Florida, and our "go to" place for biking is on Central Florida's Rails-to-Trails.

They were really nice. And mostly all paved. I tried to find a route to cross the peninsula linking those trails and while it wasn't perfect, we did manage some nice scenery. If you watch part 2 of this FLorida series you can see we spent a good part of the day on the Florida Coast to Coast trail and the Central Florida Trail into New Smyrna Beach. Maybe next Jan or Feb I'll return to Florida solo and do a week-long loop

There are some really nice pockets in the area. I had to route on some roadways that "weren't the best" but ultimately the trip was a good one.

Just stumbled across your channel and gave you a like. If I could, I would give you, an additional two likes. One for having breakfast on the side of the road and stopping to have lunch, the other for your great attitudes! I will definitely be checking out your other videos Paul.🚴‍♂🚴‍♂🚴‍♂

thanks. I’m just really happy I can connect with others who enjoy these types of adventures and appreciate the serendipitous nature of the journey as a complete part of that adventure. Ride on, my friend!

Thanks, Preston. I still can't believe we ran across each other on the Erie Canal and didn't know it was both of us :-)

Just found your videos. Hope to do the same soon. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for finding them - I lost them a little while ago, and now here they are again :-D. Seriously, if you're planning on this ride in particular, I hope you get to do it. If you're talking about touring in general there are several on CZcams that I've done so pick one route and do it! I just added the route GPS in the description so you can download this particular route. One of the highlights was going to the Space Center in Titusville - I was so excited!

Nice vid. Any tips on encouraging your partner to share in your joy/love for riding?

Ya gotta find what works for her. I brought my wife along on the first tour of the Great Allegheny Passage only a few years ago. 150 miles in 4 days. To ensure she could make the distance, we had shorter days, and I carried everything. Each day we stopped at a hotel/motel/(air)B&B so we had a bed and shelter. We also ate out. She actually enjoyed the lifestyle rather than the actual riding - very minimalist, sleep, cycle, eat, repeat. That was our days - and I made sure we had something interesting to see on the rides. Now, she has an e-Bike and can keep up distance-wise, although I plan days and stops based on her bike's range. That means, no 80-mile days, but 50 or less. And we usually arrive at our stopover mid-afternoon, shower, and then go out in search of something to eat. Oh, and I gave her my broken-in Brooks B17 saddle - she loved it! I had to break another one in myself.
Let me know how it goes and if you want any route suggestions ping me - Cheers!
