In seach of a chub on the upper Witham

I thought I`d have a change and go to the river, in search of a chub on the upper Witham in Lincoln. I`t turn out to be a difficult few hours,but it really was a nice change from fishing a match and just chill out by the river.

Never really rated the upper Witham in winter. The Sincil Drain between Washingborough and the new bypass was my go too for winter roach and perch. Big nets on punch and hemp in 3ft of water, colder the better :)

I had the same problem blanks galore on the river lea but my red letter day made up for that when I had a 66lb bag with five over 6lb and biggest 7lb 2oz but loads of days if you wonder is there a chub I the river
