How is Danny not revered as one of the greatest musicians to grace the earth within the past 60 years? Mastermind behind Oingo Boingo and countless movie soundtracks.
He will be, but only posthumously. That's the way these things work out.
Batman, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissor Hands, TNBC, Tales from the crypt...this guy is a national treasure of my child hood.
COMPLETELY underrated talent. He's so humble!
Until JL anyway...
underrated? he was one of the most wanted composers... that's no underrated.. you can't get much higher than that.
@@MephProduction Underrated in that he doesn't get the credit he deserves. If an Oscar means anything, how does he not have one for the music, lyrics and all singing parts of the character Jack Skellington in 'Nightmare Before Christmas'?
@@PuJitois nah oscar's don't mean much, just voted by a very small minority. too political and sometimes bought.
@@MephProduction True, and considerably less true in 1993, but I'll remind you that underrating is done by raters, so if you want to refute an assertion that D.Elfman doesn't get credit he deserves, you'll need to offer something more conclusive than possible, alternative reasons why he might not have received an award that he, nevertheless, did not receive. On the other hand, if you're just another of that sort of Internet troll that pisses on prevailing sentiments to draw attention to him/herself, I'll encourage you to make good use of an opportunity to skip it this time. With me there's no disguising that tired shtick.
This guy is a legend.
Such an amazing composer of 17 Tim burton movies, he's one of a kind.
In addition to his wonderful scores, I love Danny's on-screen presence. He tells his story with a twinkle in his eye, a wry humor and a soothing voice. It's very enjoyable to watch and listen to him.
Oingo boingo brothers and sisters!
I wish it were discussed here. His soundtracks are great, top quality, but so was his rock career. 😭
One of the best front man that a band could have.
Danny Elfman is my hero. True story
(♥ω♥*)
In my opinion this man is a modern day genius! Such talent!!
Just when my love and respect for Danny Elfman couldn't go any higher, it just did. By the way, Midnight Run is my all-time favorite 80s movie hands down.
I wish I weren't on the other side of the country. I'd love to see that. I've been a fan since the very first time I heard the Only A Lad album.
under priviledged and abused perhaps a little bit confused.. Story of my life . i grew up on the west coast and boingo was my favorite band in those days
No mention of Spider-Man? Blasphemy.
Exactly...it's literally his best work.
yeah I'm very disappointed. There's no real interview about it even though it's his best work
@@TheRobloxianTacoLord I put Batman and Beetlejuice above it, but it's a masterpiece
@Rob Cook Yes it is.
I’m pissed they didn’t mention Big Top Pee-wee.
He is amazing. I stumbled upon dead mans party which reminded me of my childhood. Now I've realized hes been my entire childhood. Thank you danny
All Hail the Pumpkin King!
Congratulations for the amazing work of all those years.👏 I do love oingo boingos music as well.
A true genius
Wow this dude was really part of my childhood lol. I just thought he was part of Oingo boingo... wow
Beetlejuice is so underrated but its amazing, one the best for me .
Our favorite composer! Brilliant musical mind!
Talentoso demais!!!!
I want him to always have that freshness in him, where any new score you hear is a New Score, I mean the feel
Just been getting into Oingo Boingo, asides from some of his great film work I have a whole new level of respect for this man.
He is just pure magic in a bottle.
Elfman = God
It was an absolute joy seeing The Nightmare Before Christmas at the SSE Arena in London the other week. Fantastic!
Elfman also wanted to be a director and screenwriter. Wrote three movie scripts, two of them musicals which he had recorded the song demos for (look up “Little Demons” and “The World of Jimmy Callicut”). Sadly they never got finished because of studio budget cuts or whatever.
LEGEND!
Danny needs to sing again or read audio books. I can listen to hi voice all day.
Coisa mais linda esse Danny♡♡♡♡
Gênio dos gênios!
Happy Valentine's Day For You
A MUSICAL GENIUS !!! Mystic Knighs ~~~ INDEED !!😎👌
I had no idea he did the Simpsons 😀🤦♂️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He's doing a great job for JL
❤️
Skipped over Mars Attacks?
wait THE simpsons ?
Isn't this the "I I I LOVE LITTLE GIRLS" guy lmao
Yes he is.
Mr. Breast...yes I will
While I appreciate his talent, I think its unfortunate that he mentions, "A Band he was in at the time, " but fails to mention them. His music has been always stunning, but in some interviews, Danny mentions being what could be said as embarrassed about his past. My personal understanding is that he may only be prideful of all material after OB... If that's the case, that's unfortunate. We need to be mindful of our roots and we do the victories.
This seems to be a segment with film composers. Maybe when the rock circles get their heads out of their asses, they can invite him to talk about that. Not that we need them though.
Hans Zimmer and junkie xl are on another level
David Payton they are on the level right beneath John willams james horner and howard shore
Zimmer is not a real composer.
Danny is fun but redudant.
Wish he didn't do JL.
Glad he left out ...SPIDER MAN...and.... MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.
