Dragon's Dogma 2 is a 2024 action role-playing video game developed and published by Capcom. The sequel to Dragon's Dogma, the game is set in a fantasy-themed world parallel to the first game.
Increasing the maximum number of items that can be put in the storage from 1000 to 3000.
Fixing issues in which "Bandit Eyepatch" and "Lordly Eyepatch" were not available.
Fixing issue with progression in the Guardian Gigantus quest becoming impossible after playing the cinematic.
Fixing issues with Pawns' cosmetics appearing different in other players' worlds.
Fixing some additional issues where the Main Pawn speaks support Pawn’s dialogue.
Miscellaneous bug fixes.

My favorite game this year, still can't believe we got a sequel. The Pawn system is unmatched, and I hope we can get a massive expansion like we did with Dark Arisen in the original.

12 years of waiting, Dragon's Dogma Online all too short lived, but FINALLY we got DD2... and it's just a clever twist on DD1 for those in the know!! 😉👌
I am now about 420 hours into my playtime, having completed the story and started a new playthrough on a second account so I can have two of my own pawns to level up. It's still just as awesome 400+ hours in and I'm still discovering things about the game I hadn't seen in my first couple of playthroughs 😁
Now, all we need is a new BBI dlc with a couple of new vocations (Monk/Pugilist preferably), Hard Mode, and a whole lot of new Fashion Dogma options!!
I'll still be playing this for years to come...
any issues with your Great sword mission? Was it just me !
@@CouchCoop128 Do you mean the original Warrior vocation quest to get a greatsword?
If so, then no I didn't have any trouble... I just found one in the the Trevo Mine and handed it in...

DD2 pawns are the worst, they didn't warn me wolves hunt in packs.
lessons in 'wolf awareness' needed, 🤣
Fun fact: if you put meat down before a wolf encounter they will go after the meat making themselves open for attacks. Also works on those bigger 4 legged dogs too.

Thats good to know, too bad you only fight like 5 big ones the whole map...
Remember to sleep at your house or in before a main quest or after a main quest.

Many Arisen stopped playing after finding out the game doesn't hard save at the camp.
And it’s not 2k gold ! The save thing taught me a tough lesson 😊🙏
I have beaten most open world games without fast traveling. But this game just does not have the magic the first one did. All the magic vocations have been nerfed, and so did my enjoyment by contrast. I’m trying to get back into it, figured I would try other perspectives, thanks for the video.
Mages have been nerfed???
do you mean the amount of skills have been nerfed? because mages/sorcs are insane I had to remove sorc pawns because they will kill a boss within 10 seconds.
@@CouchCoop128 mage and sorcerer used to have two charge attacks one which functioned defensively the other offensively and the attack would have different properties based on the element on the staff.(now it only changes elemental damage) Used to have a melee attack with the staff, used to be able to manually aim all spells. The final tier of magic from the first game is completely gone in the second game. 8 spells were also removed. Downgraded the total spell slots from 6 to 4. It’s still powerful sure, but it is overall less capable with fewer mechanics and abilities than the first game.
Yeah hella nerfed. Don’t even get me started on how they screwed over the magical archer by also removing its melee options completely.
Magic was nerfed as hard as the main story was. Story in 2 is absolute dogwater
@@Rulfio no boss dies in ten seconds for me. I am perma sorce and keep my pawn as a mage for support. With only lightning as their only attack. My sorce has the argural flair and high siesm with a couple support spells. But I just have not gotten ANY good gear somehow for that vocation and am not the type to look up where the goodies are.
Game isn’t as engaging as the first, given how much potential they removed from all the original magic vocations. I don’t really care for the melee classes in this game myself. But I posted just above this to the owner of the videos comment detailing all the needs to mage and sorce
@@Nebulisreconx you haven't progressed enough once you get the master skills its a wrap for anything in the game.
DD 2 feels like a demake of DDDA
so many re-worked assets....weapons, enemies, It could easily pass as a remake of 1 ?

feels like the pre dlc which and while the graphics are an upgrade the armor layering and hairstyles are unexpectedly lacking which was disappointing
Really hate opinions like this the game is better its just lacking SOME features
A bad remake with less interesting characters and an even more lackluster story
The problem I felt was we waited a long time for this game. It is a solid game 100%, but you can’t ignore the fact that they didn’t add enough enemy variety seeing as 90% of the game is running around killing weak mobs. less armor customization, less large monsters. I imagine some of this will be addressed in the DLC but it just got fairly repetitive for me on just 1 playthrough. Not to mention the game breaking cutscene at the bridge that if your not prepared for can completely lock you out of exploring a large section of the map. All that said I did enjoy the game I just expected a little more considering the very long wait.
12yrs was a very long time ago, it feels like a lesser more pretty DD1, the more I’m playing mid game the more this is becoming apparent

You kinda have to level Mage vocation, for Exaltation augment. Stamina regen is godsend for melee classes.

Still think perhaps your favorite top 10 couch co op games of all time (figure 4 or 5 minutes a game max) or perhaps a LP series once a month, or a night once a month you co op with your patreons. I have been thinking of buying the game but have real concerns over the framerate. 30fps on my large screen tv feels awful in most games. 60fps looks best by a mile for me. However the one game that seems to look smooth is red dead 2, though a 60fps mode for that game would be appreciated one day. Is this a smooth 30fps or is it juddery for most folk? The unlocked frame rate on digital foundry looks all over the place.
Remember, that resolution is pretty high, I play it on a larger 4K TV, and it’s far from 1080p, but yeah, performance mode needed

LOVED the first one + DA. Always wondered why a sequel never happened then I heard about this one. HYPE!
But… After all the souls-games (which I love) and other games, the excitement faded and I’ve held out on buying this one. I just can’t seem to justify going through Dragons Dogma “weirdness” again, same generic story where Elden Ring is amazing. Maybe not fair to compare.
I might get it on a deep sale but for me it’s: “too little too late”. And 30fps? C’mon.
yeah Erdtree is next, Elden was my 2022 GOTY, i think that RE engine in that current state, cant handle anything higher, unless on a pc, ill be keen to see what happens on patches

@@CouchCoop128 so its not a plain perfomance mode but you can set the Graphics quality to high or low turn off motion blur and enable or disable ray tracing ..can set the fps to variable or 30fps solid..that is in a very close sense to performance mode you just have to do it yourself no one stop shop button

Damn, i just bought it and now im regretting my purchase. The cool thing is i just traded in a bunch of Ps3 and Xbox games that were collecting dust and got alot back so i ended up only paying $0.50 out of pocket for Dragons Dogma 2 on PS5. They said if i dont like it bring it back before 7 days and get full refund. Ill play as much as i can for 6 days and see how it goes.

There was loads of push back on it when the micro purchase list came out on steam
Not gonna lie, I think the fact that you’re forced to explore and run through the map more is a good thing. Being forced to run between settlements has been an amazing way for me to gather so much materials, gained so much levels and ranked my vocations up. If you fast travel your way through the game, I’m positive that at some point, you will hit a skill wall and you are going to be forced to go explore the world to level up and gather materials.
Great video, and that Phantom Oxcart is part of a side quest. I do not know how to trigger it tho lol it randomly triggered on my 2nd playthrough

I’m on PS5 and I’ve played DD: DA almost halfway through game. There is a sale on Argos 10% off for £44.99. Is it worth it? The most negatives I’ve heard are about performance but I’ve seen on the official website that more patches are coming so should I take the plunge or wait longer?
44 quid is pretty good !!! 60 quid screw from CEx for me, I think it’s one of this years strongest games, 40 quid is good money, I guarantee this will go on PSN next year though

Dragons Dogma 2 is currently my GOTY .. loved every minute of the game with a measly 150 hrs & i plan to play more of it 🔥🔥

Ps5 frame rate is still trash after the latest patch. The graphics settings are shit , the HD slider feels like it doesn’t even work and the arisen enemy tracking feels off . I had thousands of hours in the first game only to have this rushed out game delivered. Loot system is shit , kick a chest open and you can berries or a plant same loot you pick off a tree . WTF 🤬
DD dark Arisen was awesome,DD2 meeeh, pawn sooo stupid and suicidal,finish the game max all vocation get all maister skill and i stop playing,just wait for 60 fps patch to play again,and im lvl 110...

What i don't like:downgrade of the equipment customization the dragon boss fight,compared to the first game,it was very anticlimactic. The final boss,all you do is just climp up it.the storyline with the queen and the fake arisen went nowhere. And most of all, no Senechal boss fight,what i like nost about Senechal boss fight is how it takes on the appearance of you're previous arisen after beating the game and facing it on a new game plus,is what drove me to push so many play throughs.
Does it feel like a new game or DD1 plus ? Because I’m surprised at the repeat stuff I’m seeing, re-worked, but repeated
