- Quinn Hughes and Pius Suter supplied all the offence needed with two first period goals and Thatcher Demko was perfect in net stopping all 31 shots directed his way as the Vancouver Canucks shutout the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0.

Best complete game I’ve seen Kuzmenko play since he got here. He was forechecking, going behind his own net to dig pucks out, got 2 assists and Tocchet rewarded him by putting him out with 40 seconds left. Good to see.
Facts! He a good guy and a great player. I want to see him succeed!
At this point we just have to trust the coach😂, wow kuzy making a statement tonight👍
Coachning mastermind
“Fans are … KUZing a bit…” I love Shorthouse. 👏👌😂
Kuzmenko looked like he was out there playing shinny against his kids today. An absolute menace
Demko being an iron curtain and Kuzmenko putting up points, best day of my week so far
Well it's Monday.. So..
@@savjakob7838 already Tuesday where I live but yeah, pretty early to say that nonetheless
Thatcher being an iron curtain lol
It's nice to see Kuzy get some confidence back in this game. Haven't seen him smile in weeks.
Smiling can lead to a stroke for him,lol
Did you see his fckin pass bruh!!
@@shaunduquette5992улыбка старика, лежащего на молодухе, действительно, приводит к смерти! Здесь другая история 🙂🙂. Transleyted pleese from Russian langue.
@@shaunduquette5992Кузменко уже обставил (перегнал) Павла Буре по одному из показателей в играх за Ванкувер Канакс, (если хотите знать).!!
Who else was slightly hoping Demko would take a shot at the empty net at the end of the game?
Thought the exact same thing when i saw him angle his stick like that.
It's a matter of time. He'll go for it
It didn’t even enter my mind, I was praying he’d get the shutout 🙏 he is amazing these days
He would have if he had the opportunity for sure.
Gotta love Demko making shutouts man.
And for Kuzmenko, he is stylish this game, especially the first assist he made and helped Suter scored. Great to see one of the Canucks players redeem themselves.
А в чем он провинился??
A+ game by Kuzy, I really hope we will see him more on the ice after this.
Why Vancouver changed jersey is beyond me. These original ones are so much better than what they use now.
These aren't their "original" ones. The Canucks originally wore the Stick-in-Rink logo in blue, green and white when they entered the NHL. Then in the 80s they changed to the Flying V, and *then* at the end of the 80s they introduced the Skate jersey. While I like that the Skate is back, this isn't even the best version of the Skate imo, and too many teams right now have black kits (main or 3rds) that I wouldn't want Van to switch to the Skate full time. What they wear now is a return to their original colours.
Demko was a stud tonight
He was a frickin wall
Vezina winner. Book it.
That pass from Kuzmenko made Henrik blush.
That whole sequence leading up to quinns goal wad sick. The way he kept that puck in at the blue line and spun away from his check twice. Hes so good its crazy
Kuzmenko's assist on 1st goal .... wow
Not all assists are created equal! That was an amazing pass.
I actually screamed @@joelface
It was great to see the second line finally do something. Good win
Demko is like that one video game boss that you just cannot figure out. Dude is godlike when it comes to stopping pucks.
Love the fact that Tocchet put Kuzy out there to try and score the empty netter. Play well, and you'll get rewarded!
Who is "him"?
Kuzmenko! I was so excited I forgot to specify🤣
both Demko and Mrazek played beautifully in goal. Just Vancouver had the overall better offense, as well as the defense to bail Demko out when he's unable to make the saves. Vancouver is absolutely stoic and they have few weaknesses for other teams to exploit.
As it stands, Canucks are pulling away from Vegas in the Pacific Division and looking to pull away from the leading teams, with the exception of Boston and Winnipeg, in the league standings. This has been an incredible season for Vancouver. So far, everything they are doing, you just sense they will score the goals, and Demko will make the saves.
Everyone's talking about Edm and their 13 game winning streak.. but lets point out they've only gained 3 points on the canucks in that stretch..
@@Mellowyellow8888 Exactly. It's bordering on embarrassing most are focused on Edmonton's resurgence, they're disrespecting the fact the team that beat them 3x times already this season is leading the way handsomely in the standings.
@@Mellowyellow8888They are also 20--3 in their last 23.....They are being talked about because at one point they were 2--11--1.......They are a completely different team now. "Pulling ahead" and seeding won't be that big of a deal to team's like Edmonton, Vegas Colorado.Winnipeg....those teams have all been to the playoiffs recently as a group...The Canucks have not
.....It's a brand new season in April. Edmonton is the Hottest team in the league right now and they just signed a veteran playoff Beast. And gave up nothing. Other teams will make similar moves and get on hot streaks. Remeber, the playoffs are all about peaking at the right time/....The idea of Vancouver "pulling away" when they have not been to the playoffs in a while should be seen with some caution.
@@conorcahill5422 I think if the Stanley Cup started now, Vancouver would be the main favorite.
@@user-wh1rt7pi3d true, but the oilers are a banana peel to slip on, hopefully they overcome that in the playoffs
Bedard got to cheer for his home team tonight!
Was he in the arena
Ya was he there?
Imagine thinking that he will play for Canucks lol. It's like Arizona fans thinking Matthews will play for them and Leafs fans thinking McJesus will play for them loooool
Really enjoying the Canuck season so far. Keep it going boys
❤ Kuzmenko looked good, REAL GOOD!! ❤
Please keep those jerseys and awesome buckets - 100% the best canucks uniforms.
these canuck jerseys are beautiful
Мразек спас индейцев от разгромного счёта. Надо отдать ему должное. Кузьменко ух какое катание , а передача на Сутера , ну бомба просто. Смотрю на Ванкувер этого сезона так и кубок взять можно.
Mrazek kept that from getting ugly.
Demko, on the other hand, won that game. Especially on that last Hawks PP.
The Canucks ambushed the Blackhawks scoring two quick goals in the 1st period & that's all they would need, because Demko was simply lights out tonight making 31 Saves in the 2-0 shutout win... Kuzmenko with his best game in several weeks chipping in with assists on both Vancouver goals as he received chants of 'KUZZZZZ' from the hometown crowd...In the 2nd & 3rd period the Canucks seemed guilty at times of playing down to the Blackhawks compete level which is something you don't want to make a habit of doing against the weaker teams in the league... Regardless, it's another win & another 2 points for the Canucks who face the Blues next on Wednesday...
i think the video sums that up boss
@jayfv7 You will have to troll someone else. This guy never takes the bait.😀
@@icyewebich6978 im kind of a ret4rd pretty sure its a bot
kuzy a magician with puck
Being a Hawks fan since birth I like what I'm seeing so far in the offensive development...now if they just do the same defensively. But at the end of the day I'm just a fan of the game and love seeing what Vancouver is doing this year.
Great game❤. Canucks did it while wearing my favourite jersey.
Mrazek has been solid
MAN, not as Chicago fan, but he did fine work in net tonight. After the first two goals he shut the door and prevented from being like 5-0
Giving his team the room to practice, learn, and grow. One of the best goalies this season
100% has been solid. If you can’t score you can’t win. Hawks needa get more scoring going on.
How good is Quinn Hughes? Thank God he fell to us in his draft when he did; best player of his draft class hands down! Canucks captain, Go Canucks Go
Can’t say enough good things about that Demko ❤
Ванкувер-блестяще!!!👍👍👍🤝
Canucks were buzzing, particularly in 1st period. They were quick, aggressive, and first to the puck. It’s an absolute joy watching them this season, albeit only the highlights. Alarm goes off 6am, CZcams goes on!
Keep it going, guys! 👍🏴🏒🇨🇦
Quinn Hughes is what I would mold my game like if I were trying to be in the league. Steady with D with smarts offensively n goals if need be
The Blackhawks surprised me by being such a tough opponent tonight but like all good Championship teams when not playing their very best the Canuck's found a way to scrap for the victory!! This Vancouver side is for real.
They’re one of those in an any team could win any night opponent, perhaps the north shore kid would have made it closer🤔
@@griggbaylee5808oh definitely would have imo. Imagine the adrenaline he’d be running on all game playing against his favourite team growing up which also happens to be his hometown? Yikes!! But glad the Nucks got the win!! 🎉
Pius Suter 👏 salutations depuis la 🇨🇭
Great win! Let's go Canucks!!
Canucks just keep going, I love my team ❤
Beside Demko, this game is 2nd line (Kuz+Mik+Suter) show. The second goal @2:32 happens during line change in offensive zone. Kuz + Mik = Hughes
They still need a true 2C. No one's winning the cup with Pius Suter at 2C
Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuzmeeeeeeeeeenkoooooooooo
They need to get the 2nd line going and by that more playing minutes. This game proved that
Another game where the score could have been much higher for the Canucks! 😊 Go Canucks Go 😊
2:23 the screen the guy makes for Hughes is so nicely done
Beautiful pass by Kuzmenko
Canucks essentially had a 'load management' game, Joshua led all forwards with 18:10 TOI
And Suter needs more team with the skills coach dude needs to hit the net atleast on his chances
Kuzy's spinorama pass🤩
After decades of being a loyal fan and putting them in the background when the Sedins retired I’m now actually excited with the prospect of seeing them win the cup in my lifetime. I might actually watch a game if this keeps up instead of just highlights. Back in the day I’m sure I’ve lost a few years of my expiration date because of those nuckleheads 😂. ONWARD TO VICTORY ✌️ GO CANUCKS!!!
Kuzmenko is back boyz!!!
Definitely not our best game of the season. Our 2nd periods seems to be flat but wins a win thanks Demko
До чего же цепко и уверенно действует Ванкувер в чужой зоне
I have been watching and Kuzmenko just hasn't been getting the puck from team mates either despite calling for it. Here he shows what he can do when he gets the puck.
KUZY IS BACK
2:58 Damn Hugh’s
this is definitly my favorite jersey!!
Another good hockey game. Thanks
Canucks с победой!!!!
Кузя красавчик - какой пас!!!
Demko - отличные сэйвы!!!
Кузьменко в полном порядке. Неплохой собрался состав русских ребят )
Wow!! VAN fans like myself can't believe it ... keep it up boys is all I got to say . Unreal play. Great hockey .keep them socks up boys .just im speechless as a knuck fan. Keep the D firing more though heavy slappies boys low to the ground. We got fire power. I'm so proud😢
Go Canucks Go! Great chemistry on and off the ice!
Although he lost, Mrazek played unreal. He got a lot of hate when he was on the leafs, and I really wish they would have given him a chance. He has it in him for sure.
Another solid win... yay
Canucks goal selebrations look like they are in a videogame with these black jerseys.
Lately, it seems like the team forgets that there is a second period. On the other hand, I really wish Kuzmenko gets a goal soon. If you look at each forward line, there's a driver and Kuzmenko's skill set could make him the driver on this line.
We will happily take the game 🎉
Canucks are young and hungry …… winning games 🎉🎉🎉❤❤😅😊😊
Way to go Kuzzy nice game, keep it up brother, Oh Demmer you were pretty good too.....lol
Let's go boys!!
How good is Demko... My god
Lets go Canucks!
Demko отлично закрыл ворота
Yeah he played well
Один из сильнейших в лиге. Просто вау.
Chicago showed up for this one. Demko was definitely the difference here
Vancouver a another win baby
Is demko a top 5 goaltender now?
Go Canucks Go
Its nice to see canucks rest players against bad teams such as hawks
I agree. That’s why I wanted DeSmith!! To give demko some rest
@@chriscote8441pretty sure tochett giving desmith the colombus game for his rematch against them
Ah those poor Hawks! Ahl caliber team full of names nobody has heard of at this point, that also is riddled with injuries but they still scratch together a respectable game anyway. Good on em.
I live in Vancouver so i support Canucks
Drance pack your bags buddy you gotta take your grift somewhere else 😂
Canucks seem to be having a great season, Hawks still continue to disappoint 😔
I’m just wondering are they trying to slowdown on 2nd and 3rd period intentionally?
dang my team lost we played good we lost 2-0 good game caunucks go hawks go
Чикаго играет как у нас в кхл😁
#96 #43 #35 Wau..... Canucks move good.
RELEASE THE FLYING SKATE JERSEY ALREADY!!
I can't understand why the Canucks played their #1 goalie against one of the weaker teams in the NHL , who are also without their number 1 player Connor Bedard! I think Vancouver should give Casey DeSmith every chance to play when playing one of the weaker teams in the NHL!
I agree. Chicago has now lost 17 more games than they have won, a perfect team to play your back up goaltender and let your #1 guy rest.
@@jasonmccarthy1972 it's good that someone agrees. It's an injustice to Casey DeSmith and bad for the team in general - if Demko were to get injured, you'd want to DeSmith to have had the largest amount of game time to be ready for being the #1 goalie
Demko should've went for the goalie goal 😅
🎉🎉🎉❤ it good game 🎉🎉🎉😊
I don’t get the hockey gods sometimes.
They have the Blackhawks make their only appearance in Vancouver on the one-year anniversary of Boudreau’s firing (and lowering our chances of getting Bedard) and they take him out for 8 weeks. 🤷♂️
Maybe Kuzy should go back to his Pepsi and banana diet if he is going to play as well as he did tonight.
The main thing is not Nichushkin recipe 😂
Quinn Hughes and the Vancouver Canucks win over Seth Jones and the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 after Corey Perry traded to Edmonton 🏒🔵⚪🟢🇨🇦
Vancouver Canucks improve to 32-11-4, while the Chicago Blackhawks fall to 14-31-2
every time he tallies its a new personal high? well no isht im pretty sure that goes for everyone across the board.
I know that my perception of the Canucks has changed, when I finish watching the game, feeling frustrated that they didn't decisively bury the other team. Up until this year, I'd be happy and content if the Canucks squeeked out a win; scoring in overtime or winning the shootout.
BTW, where was Miller tonight?
Tochett was resting the lotto line, Garland, Suter, Joshua guys like that had more ice time.
Miller having a Bud Light
Miller made that great backchecking play to prevent a dangerous shot, which they highlighted in the intermission or at the end of the game. I think he's playing well, but offensively that top line has been relying on the PP recently. Luckily scoring depth is making it a non-issue while they work it out.
@@joelface Have opposing teams figured out how to play against our top line?
@@DrFlippin they’re just too good for that to be a permanent issue. They can adapt. If we have more scoring depth than another team, sometimes it’s better for the lotto line to simply neutralize another top line.
I don’t know what I expected but I watched this game live and I wish I had done something better with my time. This is probably one of the most boring games I’ve ever watched.
Vezina incoming
Hawks were tanking last year for Bedard... Who are they tanking for this year?
No one. 12 of the original roster are out with injuries. It’s basically a AHL team lol. They played very well today for being second worst.
Another N Van-er Celebrini
they're not tanking, they just suck
Ex hawks continue to hurt them
And to think, around this time last season, you had the disgusting bandwagoners that claimed to be Canucks fans telling the team to deliberately lose for a schoolkid from North Van.
They should be ashamed of themselves for ever having that mindset to begin with, because as it turns out, we needed Tocchet, and we've got him. Plus a few nice acquisitions.
I meeeaaaan, Bedard woulda been a nice-to-have for the franchise lol
Those bandwagoners were right. This team's 2C is Pius f-----g Suter. Could've been Connor Bedard
Bedard Hughes pettersson Demko . Minimum 3 Stanley cups
@@Malohdek Except we have Miller, Pettersson, Hughes and Boeser banging in the goals, plus Hoglander, Blueger, Joshua and Suter are also giving their share. So no, we don't need Bedard.
Yes that was ridiculous at the time and looks even worse now, 🤷♀️🤷you don’t get this far in pro hockey without the “want to win”these guys have want to win in their DNA, no way they could tank even if instructed to, and coach Tocchet is another with wanting to win DNA😂
Petey for Bedard. Would you do it?
why are they overplaying demko? hopefully he doesnt get injured
I agree. Would of liked to see them play DeSmith against a Chicago team with no Bedard. Hopefully Demko doesn't tire as the season goes along the and playoffs come
@@jasonmccarthy1972 He might if they keep over using him.
Bedard?
he out with a broken jaw, dont expect to see him for awhile.
