Redcat Valkyrie 4s MT- Trying 40 cst shock oil, does it do any better?

Some decent rips, a couple flips, and a few rough landings haha
First step of shock tuning is your oil, so we are trying some Losi TLR branded 40cst shock oil in all four corners to see how it likes that. How does your Valkyrie handle and what do you think of this running the 40? What would you recommend or suggest? I’m just a basher normally I don’t mess w/ shocks as Arrma’s come dialed in pretty good out of he box

Thanks! They were getting ready to close the gate so I was limited on time and just wanted to bust some airs and cycle some shocks 😜 stoked to see it in more conditions, see how far it can be pushed haha

@@dannypippin396 thanks! I’ll try, when I was just cleaning it after this run I noticed the steering rack broke. So it will be down while we wait for parts. Hoping to get this piece made by an aftermarket company.

Thanks man, this is our local motocross track. It’s a public park so as long as bikes aren’t running we can go hit it. Some pretty killer hits!
As for the rig, it deff is a smoking deal! I thought it was going to be similar to the Outcast but it’s not. That’s both good and bad lol. I just broke my 3rd chassis on the Outcast and it constantly gets rocks jammed in the steering that is crappy even when it’s free of stones. The Redcat has small tires and arms. It limits its terrain and stunt ability. But besides that it’s super tough and fast! For the price I deff say give it a rip! 💪🏼 diffs are a tad stiff I recommend pulling the shims, I have a vid showing how to do it if need be. Thanks for stopping by! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🚀💥

Great video man. Looks like a really fun spot. Is that the same place they setup that fresh park? That was soo chaotic lol. Those last couple off the big jump at the end were huge. 👍🤘

Thanks dude! Yea that was the same spot as the freshpark bash. So the track is next to a bike/hiking trail system that sees lots of traffic. They close the gate at 9pm and I only had an hour to film. After it survived long enough to get some decent footage I figured screw it I’ll jog over and try for a few. It did good, I’ll take it back for more, see what it can do haha thanks for stopping by man! Hope all is well brother 🤘🏼🤘🏼💪🏼

I thought changing the springs helped it. The stock springs aren't stong enough in my opinion. I thing the kraton 6s front springs that I have with kraton 4s rear springs would be pretty sweet. The 4s are a tad shorter but stronger

I had seen someone playing w/ springs it must have been you. I think regardless of the springs the oil is too heavy. Or the pistons need tuned. 🤷🏼‍♂️ but the springs are next in my list to play with. I have a ton of old Arrma shocks so I should be able to find something more plush. Are you thinking of playing with/ yours more or are you happy with your setup?
