Just revisiting this song, and wow, I can really hear the influence they had on the band ALVVAYS of Canada. ALVVAYS great live cover of "Lloyd I'm Ready to be Heartbroken" introduced me to Camera Obscura.
What's in that water of yours? (Except from Nessie that is). Because the Scottish music scene has always been a source of great bands in past, present and undoubtely the future. And this lovely and romantic tune is no exception. Very appropriate for this time of year. A big thumbs up!

listened to this song after the recent Christchurch earthquake which destroyed our iconic cathedral and forced many people to "get out of this country". the lyric 'we'll find a cathedral city' gave me the chills like i've never had before

Traceyanne Campbell at her finest - it really pisses me off that they have not had the success they truly deserve. Scotland does not appreciate just how bloody good they are as a band and how superb a songwriter Miss Campbell is.
Also, the closing scene of this video seems to be a video "paraphrase" of the end of Ian Hunter's "All of the Good Ones are Taken," which I remember from my youth.
