I don’t think coaching Bron OR the Lakers, especially the Lakers the last 10-12 years, would be attractive, but rather an opportunity for those types who like massive challenges.

Take away the 20 years of Riley & Phil Jackson over the past 44 years. Don’t count the 8 games Bernie Bickerstaff & Bill Bertka coached to fill in… & the Lakers have had 14 coaches over 24 years in that time. Even if you exclude the 16 games Magic coached, that’s still 13 in 24.

Why would any legitimate head coach go to this job that is a complete s*** show and be LeBron James's scapegoat for when he fails in the playoffs again??? You're not going to get Ty Lue, Jason Kidd extended with the Dallas mavericks, and Mike budenholzer who I think is the last legitimate head coaching candidate just sign with the Phoenix Suns so that leaves all your other choices as coaching assistance that have never been a head coach and if that's the route that you're going to go down then why in the hell would you think that you're going to get anybody any better than Darvin ham???

Watching the Twolves-Nuggets reveals the gap at the top of the western conference. The Nuggets are struggling this year, and they STILL beat the Lakers.

Mike Bud is still collecting checks from Milwaukee for the next few years. Most other coaches have a similar situation. Coaches get guaranteed deals because they realize they will always get thrown over the side as the scapegoat. They have plenty of time to select the next job they will eat fired from.

You also have an owner who doesn't really know how to run a team built to win long term and your GM is a former agent who has managed to piss off enough owners from wanting to trade with him. You also are stuck with an arrogant, uncooperative, aging superstar in Lebron and a mentally soft big man who will never have a alpha mentality and ten role players.
