I'm black, USAF Firefighter. Retired to a rural community. My neighbors don't GAF what color we are. They love my children, very polite. They better be! Great reaction my man. I’m from a small town in Texas and I’ve seen a drunk white customer at a corner store throw a beer bottle at black female clerk for refusing to sell him more beer. The store was full of black, white, and Hispanic men getting off work. Things didn’t work out so well for Mr. Drunk Guy. Things happened to him, no cops were called, no charges filed. Lessons were learned that day. We all know the clerk by name and we all look after OUR PEOPLE. Its not black or white. It’s not left or right. It’s simply wrong and right. I'm a white female who owns a small antique store in a small village (too small to even be called a town). The racial mix here is 45% Hispanic, 7% White, 45% Native (Navajo & Apache) and 3% Black. Each day I put furniture outside to attract customers. Today a very strong wind came up and a torrential rainstorm basically came out of nowhere. I ran outside to bring the furniture in. Suddenly 2 Natives who were walking down the street ran up and started helping me. 2 Hispanic guys stopped their truck and started grabbing furniture and a Black guy who works in the store across the road ran out and started helping. THIS is what people do in a small town. We help each other. We take care of each other. This is what we do. We don't give a shit about skin color.

I'm a commercial flat roofer so you can guess what kind of environment I'm in sometimes. We hired a guy that had some choice words directed at the only black guy on my crew. This black guy also happened to be my friend and I thought my chest was going to explode out of my body. Long story short, I kicked him off my roof and told the owner of our company that guy could not be on any jobsite with me. This video is not racist at all. It hits me right in the heart because that video is what we all used to be. If you lived in the city then your small town was your neighborhood or your high school. Your church can be your small town. The farmers at the end show you exactly what self governing is. This country is supposed to be self governing but this federal government is force feeding us with problems so they can come in with another program, agency or non profit organization to SAVE US from the problem they gave us. If racism ever dies completely it will be, and only be, because we citizens of the US, you and me, decided we are going to love and respect each other. Then the government will have one less pawn to pit us against each other for their gain.

When we were attacked, we came together as a country to fight the enemy. It’s the same concept in this song, just a smaller version.

Great reaction my man. I’m from a small town in Texas and I’ve seen a drunk white customer at a corner store throw a beer bottle at black female clerk for refusing to sell him more beer. The store was full of black, white, and Hispanic men getting off work. Things didn’t work out so well for Mr. Drunk Guy. Things happened to him, no cops were called, no charges filed. I'm a white female who owns a small antique store in a small village (too small to even be called a town). The racial mix here is 45% Hispanic, 7% White, 45% Native (Navajo & Apache) and 3% Black. Each day I put furniture outside to attract customers. Today a very strong wind came up and a torrential rainstorm basically came out of nowhere. I ran outside to bring the furniture in. Suddenly 2 Natives who were walking down the street ran up and started helping me. 2 Hispanic guys stopped their truck and started grabbing furniture and a Black guy who works in the store across the road ran out and started helping. THIS is what people do in a small town. We help each other. We take care of each other. This is what we do. We don't give a shit about skin color.

Thank you for the video and also your disclaimer, lol. I'm with you man, I hate racism from whichever side it comes from. I'm a commercial flat roofer so you can guess what kind of environment I'm in sometimes. We hired a guy that had some choice words directed at the only black guy on my crew. This black guy also happened to be my friend and I thought my chest was going to explode out of my body. Long story short, I kicked him off my roof and told the owner of our company that guy could not be on any jobsite with me.
This video is not racist at all. It hits me right in the heart because that video is what we all used to be. If you lived in the city then your small town was your neighborhood or your high school. Your church can be your small town. The farmers at the end show you exactly what self governing is. This country is supposed to be self governing but this federal government is force feeding us with problems so they can come in with another program, agency or non profit organization to SAVE US from the problem they gave us.
If racism ever dies completely it will be, and only be, because we citizens of the US, you and me, decided we are going to love and respect each other. Then the government will have one less pawn to pit us against each other for their gain.

The best way that I can describe how this song sounds to me is…The song, by the late Toby Keith “Courtesy of The Red White and Blue” is a perfect example. When we were attacked, we came together as a country to fight the enemy. It’s the same concept in this song, just a smaller version.
