It was absolutely disgusting behavior, wasn't it? I will never forget that, either! Nor will I forget that he has repeatedly insulted servicemen and women from America and all over the world, including our true American hero John McCain.
I do care a lot about the character of the person running for President, but I also care very much about their policies. For me, Trump loses on both counts. He frequently says that he cares about ordinary Americans, but the last time he was in office, his policies largely helped the most well off among us.
I do not hate the wealthy. I will celebrate their success with them! I just want them to show me that they understand their great wealth comes with a responsibility to uphold the common good, aka the well-being of our entire society. I want to see them give back to their communities and country. I want them to pay their workers well. I want them to use some of their money to invest in our country's future.
I will keep having respectful conversations with people until our country is free of the grip of this man. He has proven 100's of times over that he is not worthy of the office of POTUS.

@@mothersgauri4137 After getting to know his character, I was not surprised. but yes, it was truly awful. 💔 According to sources who spoke to The Atlantic, he allegedly said that wounded servicemen and women should be kept out of military parades. He also allegedly canceled the trip to Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris because he didn't want the rain to mess up his hair and also said "Why would I want to visit them? They're losers."
His consistent and total lack of compassion and empathy has made me furious and incredibly sad at the same time. He is very consumed with image. He doesn't ever want to be made to "look bad" (by his definition, not necessarily ours), nor does he ever want to be around people who are disabled, special needs, or anyone who fits his description of less than perfect, because he is concerned about how it will make HIM look and what it will say about HIM.
Sadly, it doesn't even occur to him that every human being has intrinsic value, and that everyone has the potential within them to make this world a better place. I can't stand him, but a part of me is also able to feel sorry for him, because he is truly blind to so much - What an important concept to miss out on!!!
I'm voting for Trump. Kamala Harris has done nothing but destroy this country divided us so is the rest of the Democrats. They don't want the United States United because if we were were a threat to them and their power. You need to wake up and see what's really happening here. Very moving night. I was especially moved by those who spoke during the Freedom From Gun Violence segment. I am a "survivor", twice. I lost my dad first, then my only sister years later, to suicide. Both used a pistol on themselves. Those two tragedies solidified my hate of guns. I must add that I thought Kamala's speech was well written, well spoken, and I truly believe she means every word she spoke. She and Walz have my vote in November 2024 and in 2028. Peace. 😊
