In my opinion, venturing into a good investment is not just a strategy for generating passive income but a profitable saving method for future expenses. Those who fail to make the right decisions early in life end up regretting it. Nevertheless, investing can be difficult and risky doing it solely, For this reason, I advise seeking help from professionals(financial advisors). It’s not just watching videos and reading investment books the challenge is using them well.

This is so true. I bought a home with my parents 3 years ago going half on everything In texas and I live in los angeles. We talked and agreed that the home would be in my full possession when they passed away. Last year my brother moved in with my parents and once again had to remind my parents that I would keep the home as originally stated. They said no that I would only receive half and that my brother would receive the other half. I'm so mad but learned to never do business with family. You may say I'm being greedy but from my point of view we had come to an agreement and was an investment for me but to change the terms after the purchase is unfair. I stopped paying them my part of monthly mortgage. And they wont return my down payment. So I just let the money go and decided to never involve them in my finances.

To have someone of Kevin's caliber taking time during his morning routine to answer questions and give advice while at the same time show you he's just a normal person like yourself, is extremely rare. Kevin is so right about that. Blood may be thicker than water but because of this, sometimes they use that as a leverage. What I mean is some people borrow and pay back honestly. Some borrow and flip you the bird. Family members are people too. My relatives kept borrowing from my family to keep their family business afloat so much so they rather risk our money then theirs. Over the years we've lent them like 3x and each time ranges from $60k-$100k. It started since the early 80s to 2000s and my family had to sell our businesses/assets because of this. Needless to say we have it so bad we were homeless or even pawn things; this is the 1 thing in my life I can never forgive my mother for. I had to work since 16 with everyone in my household just to stay alive. When we have nothing left to give did my relatives declare bankruptcy. By then I was 24, already gave up on my dream in pre-med to get a computer science degree (quickest to obtain) just to join the workforce. I carried my family's $100k [remaining] debt by that time and in 2 years it's finally paid off. From then on I climb the [corporate] ladder and now at 35 yrs old I'm making $90k and my mom living relatively comfortable; she retired 5+ years ago. I think I live somewhat frugal but my mom thinking I'm making 7 figures or something because she spends money here or there thinking it's a necessity when it's not. It's not large amounts but it all adds up and it infuriated me because I need to remind her at times the hardships we endured back then. Plus I have aspiration to make more money but I don't or won't have much to invest if she keep spending like this 😫 I've already reached the height of my earning at my job. Just 5 more years and I make $100k but won't go any further. I also hate that 9-5 job now because I feel like I'm a cog in a wheel, I have obtained financial stability out if necessity but what I really want is financial freedom. I think a lot of people who are jobless would kill for my position but I'm also sure people in my position or have their own business would crave what I crave 🤔 $30k is all I have as savings aside my house, 401k, and a car. $30k ain't small but it ain't much either to quickly flip that to 6 figures or more. I just feel impatient on growing my money, I don't want to wait till I'm close to retirement before having said freedom 😭

It’s very strict in the public schools in Japan. At that time no students, who went to Junior or Senior High School, were not allowed to wear watches, makeup or even colored socks, but wearing uniforms, the Seiko watch was so precious to me. Family will make unreasonable demands and expect your undivided attention.
I love my mom, but holy crap did I make a mistake agreeing on doing some renovations to her house.
I made it extremely clear up front that this is not something that will be done in two weekends. Unfortunately, I have had had a lot of delays. I got covid, my wife's mom passed, my daughter caught covid, working all week, etc. Its been stressful.
But with family, nothing matters but what they want.
