    Very impressive, if I may give a suggestion, rivers appear to be missing from your hex generator.

    I really like this app. I love that you took the time to make D&D enemies compatible with Ironsworn as well. I'm eagerly awaiting the Starforged update.

    Can the app show hills that are forested?

    Is it possible to paint for example a 3 x 5 (feet) map and have it printed? What is the size limit atm? This looks amazing!

    Love the way you can drill down and edit. Can you import maps or character images or anything like that? It would be cool if I could bring in my Inkarnate maps!

    First: Is the goal to make this compatible with other systems? I personally don't use iron sworn but am using Savage Worlds right now and intend to shift to the old Warhammer RPG system.
    Second: The yes/no question is great but do you think you'll be working on something like what the GM Emulator does but maybe with custom player made charts?
    Third: I like the fact that there was a basic map of a town and also a map of a dungeon, but do you think there will be something that would allow people to explore cities?
    I ask because my current story is exploring a city that has been infested with chaos magic kind of like the old Mordheim game and so we are exploring a city and each building might have hazards, enemies, magically warped, empty, have treasures and so on and curious if this app would help with my current story.

    Is there an option to generate a neighboring hexmap to match adjacent terrain features?

    • @theaugur3285
      @theaugur3285  Před rokem +6

      Not presently. In the upcoming 2.0 update I reworked how hexmaps work and you will be able to manually expand them as much as you want (using the hex painter tool seen in this video). I might add the option to expand them using the procedural generator at a later update.

    The tile sprites are the same as Archmage Rises. Is it a stock asset set somewhere?

    Is this somehow related to Battle for Wesnoth? The Hex styles look EXTREMELY similar. I used to play the heck out of that game.

    • @theaugur3285
      @theaugur3285  Před 3 měsíci

      Not related at all. I also played Wesnoth a lot back in the day.... It was on my iPad 1 so that was over a decade ago.... crazy.

    Can you export it? (Please heart me if you respond I have notifications turned off)

    • @theaugur3285
      @theaugur3285  Před 5 měsíci

      Absolutely, in the map settings there is an icon at the top left corner that takes you to the export panel. You can export any map in the game, including hexmaps. You can also export character avatars by the way.

    Has Watabou given you permission to use his generators in a commercial product?

    • @theaugur3285
      @theaugur3285  Před 2 měsíci +2

      I am not using his generators, I am using the map images generated with them (Important distinction), the Augur uses a fixed pool of pre-generated maps for settlements and dungeons... this is different for Hexmaps (the subject of this video) where I made the procedural generator that results in the arrangement of the hexes.
      You can read watabaou's licensing terms regarding generated maps/images at the bottom of all their generators on itch. I am also a Patreon supporter of Watabou.
