The young man had kept the law in full (he thought)so do you; yet the point he missed. It wasn’t keeping the commandments, it was following Christ….the law reveals this need, and Christ fulfilled it. That’s why we have Romans 10:4 if not? He would have told him he’d have eternal life by what he kept, rather than what Jesus came to do. Born under the law, is why he speaks about and followed the law. Which he came to ratify……Israel is not by bloodline. It is by the spirit…by faith. I dont believe too many things in the bible. But I do understand it. Yes it has Moses and the Israelites as the church in the wilderness. But according to exodus 12:37-38 a mix multitude was among them. Which means various nations had access to the same laws and god. Verses 43-49 shares that both Israel and the circumcised strangers (those of other nations) could keep the passover. As it is written 1 law for Israel and the stranger that dwell among you. Now bouncing over to the new testament it has Jesus being the passover which according to Ephesians 2:11-20 breaks down the middle wall of partition making those who were not apart of the covenant between the God of israel and his laws it made them fellow citizens. In so much they didnt have to dwell among the Israelites like in the old testament to be accepted. Wherever throughout the world men, women and children could be of the household of the bible's god if they believe Jesus died for their sins.
