  • "Before Officer Stephen Rankin fatally shot 18-year-old William Chapman, when an autopsy found the first unarmed man he killed was shot 11 times, residents of this city in southern Virginia voiced their dismay on the website of a local newspaper.
“Talk to the men and women in our armed forces who face people with weapons every day,” wrote one. “You don’t use deadly force against unarmed citizens - ever.”
One commenter, however, stood out for his combative endorsement of Rankin’s actions during the April 2011 encounter with Kirill Denyakin, a 26-year-old Kazakhstani cook."

Burno56- if you're theory is correct then how do all the stores manage to stay in business? They simply pass the cost of shoplifting onto the other customers, just like the cities pass on their lost lawsuits to the taxpayers. Due to being drug into court by abusive police departments Walmart no longer bothers to stop shoplifter if they think they're stealing $25 or less (as an independent auditor I worked with different Walmart "asset protection" teams and their regional leaders, so that's how I know this policy). Walmart found that it wasn't worth being drug into little lawsuits when the cops crossed the line. This was not a regional decision, but a national one.

It is the pukes that are being hired that make the problem what it is. It really does seem intentional. How could any company, organization or business of any kind keep on hiring empty-headed, power-hungry, filth-infested escapees from Happy Acres to ""Protect And Serve"? An IQ of 15? Welcome aboard! I hate when people say "just a few bad apples" in the police force. That's not true at all. Most of them just don't get caught being the assholes they are. I've been harassed by cops many times, and I've never broken a law in my life.
Myself and a few friends chased down a guy who tried to inappropriately touch my niece, one time. When a cop finally showed up, he saw all of us and the guy was subdued, we gave him to the cop (we beat him up a little but he was fine). Then the cop got all protective of the pedophile. Like WTF? The cop said, and these are his exact words, "I see all of you just the same as I see this guy." Right, you look at us, men who just saved an 8 year old girl from a pedophile, and you see us as the SAME as him?
Another time, I got harassed by 2 cops because they thought I was buying cigars for a minor... turns out it was my OLDER brother. I was 18... No, the cops saw an opportunity to start shit and maybe even end up shooting someone. We didn't have any drugs or weapons on us and we weren't getting into any trouble. If it weren't for my "yes sir, no sir" attitude, and a sizable crowd, we'd probably have been thrown in jail for some made up reason.
And most recently, my life was threatened at my job (cashier) and the cop who came to ask the questions got on me about my license being expired. REALLY? Some hoodlum just said he was going to come back and kill me and my coworker, but this stupid bitch is worried about my license... good job with the serving and protecting, stupid bitch.
I have a friend on Facebook always posting things about cops doing good deeds and then defending the "majority" of cops. Hell naw, I've met some good cops in my time, real nice guys in control of their shit. But I've come across so many more asshole cops whose egos are more important to themselves than peoples lives. A few bad apples, hah.

As liberals we tend not to want to besmirch unions but it's pretty obvious to most that police unions have way too much power. I'm a proud union member however when a union backs murders w/ badges &/or defends officers w/ sketchy history than we should question our stance on certain unions, namely police unions.
If any union member were to do half the things officer are accused of we would be fired w/o notice or pay. Forget about severance or off-duty pay which sounds like a vacation rather than a punitive restriction.

I don't know what happened in this case, but it's apparent from the previous case (when Rankin shot and killed Kirill Denyakin) that Denyakin could have simply been trying to pull up his saggy pants - which was perceived as "reaching for his waistband". All I'm saying is, people need to wake the fuck up and stop wearing their pants hanging off of their asses/ thinking it's cute. Because when a cop stops you (for whatever reason - right or wrong) if you try to pull your pants up, that action alone could be all it takes for you to get your cap peeled back blue.

Their headlines are accurate. Their coverage is biased. You've chosen to pretend that those two statements are one in the same when they are not. The day when TYT covers violence committed by a Black person against a white person and chooses to blatantly put that in the title will be the day I shut up. There are plenty of videos out there, but TYT knows which ones fit their narrative.

    • @Lerkero
      @Lerkero Před 9 lety +1

      *****
TYT just covered the people protesting a Mosque being built in Arizona to point out their hypocritical nature. TYT does not point out the hypocritical nature of people like Al Sharpton who show up when violence is committed against a Black person and disappear into the shadows when Black people are acting up and the mainstream media covers it.
After multiple riots the past couple years, TYT has avoided mentioning that many destructive riots are by Black people. I've seen many videos of innocent White people being attacked during such riots.
They have also not mentioned that when civilians kill police...the person is often, if not 99% of the time...a Black person shooting a White cop. That doesn't make it into the title of the video.
I like that TYT covers police violence against civilians, but too often they structure their news stories to make it seem that the violence is entirely one sided. I saw a video the other day of a White cop shooting and killing a White priest. Hoping it showed up on TYT, but I haven't seen it yet.
You said nothing about them being separate issues. Not to me. Maybe you should learn to write clearly

Lerkero Here is something you don't understand about liberalism. It's about giving voice to the voiceless. Power to the powerless. Justice for the abused. And to maximize prosperity for all. There is no point covering stories which the relentlessly racist anti-black media already covers every day - it's about showing there is another side to the story, a reason for the trouble, a human face on the relentlessly smeared. This is the "balance" that liberalism is based on. You might not understand it now, but maybe some day you will.

First day of training, a guy 15 years younger than me is bragging and showing off to me how much of a racist he is. He was rude and showed me very little. I still passed my tests with the company. The senior manager and owner couldn't stop harping on my trainer's bad evaluation of me when they were taking breaks from looking at me with disgust and hatred. I did not take the job.
