I'm gonna go out on a limb & say Joe might have had an adult beverage, & I also have $20 bucks that says Joe also did this interview covid era zoom style with no slacks & church socks on.
Joe's dad, Jack Buck, was great back in a day when you had to have a "voice'. Not a Beth Mowen voice, or the upcoming Tom Brady voice, but one that commanded the attention of the audience. He was superb in his delivery and relaxed way in calling the game.

Shame Joe Buck works with Aikman. Troy talks and talks and talks, he is still talking when the next play is underway. A play by play and analyst should split 55-45 or maybe 60-40…this team is 75-25 on a good day for Buck…too bad, Aikman knows his business, but uses 100 words instead of 20.

Joe buck,it would be Hilarious if you start off rooting for the cardinals, then just go off script like you bet on the game and start rooting for strikeouts or something gambling related.
I really like Joe, but since moving to ESPN, he's become the forgotten man, the Rodney Dangerfield of top play by play announcers. He can't save MLB on the mothership, but why the hell isn't he calling games? How old is Joe in dog years anyway? Kids after fiddy is tough.
