Raptor starts at 80. 4 years ago you could pick up a new Tacoma for 45, Tundra for 55, and Raptor for 60. It all went up 20k dollars. And surprisingly as well average salary has stayed at 60k for all these 4 years.

If you read the specs of the high output engine, the hardware used and the stock turbo size tells us that it will definitely make more power than a trx or even a redeye engine would- with basic bolt ons and a tune. This engine is quite similar to modern Bmw turbo i6’s.
True...but Stellantis has zero V8's now. No more Hemi's...no more Hellcat engines. They have embraced 6 bangers. I don't mind smaller engines but I'm sad they don't offer a V8. At least you can still get a V8 in a Raptor...for now.

The inline 6 is the true masterpiece design though. Ford had one in 80/90’s and got rid of it because it never blew up. No parts were ever sold. So they got rid of it.
It's not just them. Keep in mind due to inflation, Tacoma TRD, Tundra TRD, Trail Boss 1500, Rebel, and Raptor all have gone up 20k in 4 years since 2020. Average salary 4 years ago is the same today at 60k. So salary is the same but prices on select vehicles have gone up by 20K.
Many brands came out with a bunch of new models, that were all hyped up over the past 4/5 years. People got excited and over paid. Now they've tapped out the people that WANT IT. Now they're trying to sell to the people who DON'T NEED IT.
Really high output. Ram did this in reverse order Ford did w their Raptor & Raptor R respectively. Summer & Fall 2024 Ram TRX is available for the last model year so they’re both available simultaneously.
Just put in the basic 5.7 and don’t super charge it. Using the old 5.7 had to be a cheaper option then designing a brand new straight six that’s going to wear out much quicker
I’ve been building engines for 36 years. Let me educate you on engines. The 5.7 is a dog and had a ton of problems. Dodge lost their lawsuit and have to fix all the 5.7’s now. The inline 6 is the best design engine ever produced. It’s the strongest by design. That’s why every 18 wheeler uses them and not V8’s. Fords best engines were the US made 4.9 straight 6 in the 80’ and 90’s. You couldn’t kill that engine. Ford mechanics made no money so Ford stopped making it. Fords Australian Barra straight 6 was a legendary engine. Now thru are used in drag cars making 1000 hp. BMW best engines are inline 6 turbos making big hp gains. B58 being my favorite. Nissans legendary best engine was inline 6 RB26. Toyotas best legendary engine was Inline 6 2JZ. You see the most legendary engines are all straight 6. This is why Dodge went this route. I said 20 years ago, complained to bring back the straight 6 bullet proof engines.

Kind of like its little brother 2.0 in the wrangler. And they are already blowing up in the massive grand wagoneer. I got 4 of them with blown up motors.
