Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where in this video I want to share with you the ultimate glass skin serum and one which gave me the ultimate glow up in my skincare routine.
When it comes to korean skincare, most of us will focus on the snail mucin products which work well bu are not the only ones which will give you the glass skin look which is such a skin care trend in 2024.
The use of a glass skin serum will boost radiance in the skin, plump out the skin for some great anti aging and also help to even out the skin tone by fading hyperpigmentation.
This is the Mixsoon Bean Essence which is one of the best glass skin serums I have found and one which has given me the softest skin and a lit from within glow.

💛I feel like I'm one of a few people who doesn't like snail mucin products. I do however like a nice essence and serums. One of my local beauty stores has just included a Korean skin care line called Hanskin in their stock, and I bought a starter/tester set today.
As a lady in my forties, who doesn't have the want or the funds for botox, using skin care that will plump up the skin and give a visual blur to hide those small lines and wrinkles is something I'm always on the lookout for.

I like both. But I have to say that Mixsoon is one of my favourite brands of skincare, their essences are amazing. I use many of them, it's well worth trying everything they have to offer

I use both the CosRx snail mucin and Mixsoon bean essence . I am 67 and my skin looks better than it ever has. I am trying to simplify my skin care, finishing my The Ordinary routine of tiny little bottles everywhere. I'm keeping a few Ordinary items, but am loving Korean skin care for many reasons. Hi from Caledonia Ontario! I’m ❤for mixsoon I can honestly tell you that I haven’t even tried Corsx yet! I normally love my essences and presently love the Elizabeth Arden one and the eminence kombucha essence! And yes I love that colour on you!
❤️ Love the Mixsoon products. I use the Bean Essence to clean out my pores. I apply 2 pumps, massage into skin for 3 minutes. Then add 1 more pump and massage with a little more pressure for 3 minutes until I feel the sebaceous filaments start coming out. Then rinse off. Pores are smaller and skin feels silky smooth. Awesome product.
I then use the plant based VEGREEN Alcohol-Free Skin Mucin Essence Toner as an alternative to snail mucin.
My favorite is the Skinfood Honey Propolis serum, for dry skin this is my holy grail. Love you❤

Especially the Allies of Skin pore serum. It has literally changed my skin by removing clogged pores on and around my nose. I use it twice a day and it's a game changer! I'm excited to try the Mixsoon essence as well. I am in my 50's and don't want to look like a glazed donut, but I do want healthy, glowing skin. FYI, I recently heard this Mixsoon essence is a great exfoliator as well :)

I tested out Mixsoon Bean Essence a while ago and I don’t like it so I’m team 🐌 but the one from Jumiso with peptides. The bean essence is too sticky for my taste and take ages to sink in. But I love Mixsoon as a brand, so many good products for sensitive skin 🤍

Hi Rob! I remember recommending the Mixsoon Bean Essence to you some months ago. So glad you liked it! Mixsoon is a great quality brand, and l'm sure you'd love some of their other products as well. I can't use Cosrx snail mucin because it contains other ingredients that don't agree with my skin. Also, while I'm not vegan, l'm not really a fan of animals being bred specifically for the purpose of manufacturing skincare ingredients xx

I'm currently using the cosrx snail mucin but had planned on ordering the mixoon bean essence but had ordered a different brand instead. Unfortunately the pump was broken and the essence was leaking so I sent back & decided to just go ahead and order the mixoon. Glad I saw this bc I didn't realize 1 would "replace " the other.

Wow, such a useful video!! I like BLACK PEARL creams, great effect, although they can be hard to find. I personally get them from Dead sea shop, where the discounts are nice.

I’m going to net out neutral on this one and go 🐌 ❤ - like when I started using snail mucin I went “full range” on the Mizon products and found that it’s quite overwhelming to put them all on your face and it almost started to pill once you’re hitting it with your third or fourth layer of product. DIDNT want to move away from it though and now layer it with lighter products with Centella but this is shall give a go too because ✨compulsion✨ lol
I avoid the snail mucin because I heard that people who got dust mite allergy and asthma may get allergic reactions and breakouts. I've been using the bean essence for more than 3 months now and I love it! I like to layer it after it the Skin 1004 Centella Ampoul, it literally changed my skin in a matter of weeks!
That is true, not everyone will be impacted but its common for people with dust mite allergies to have an issue with snail.. love xxxx
I've been using the CosRX all in one snail mucin moisturizer and it has helped with my rosacea and acne, but I'm cool to try the mixsoon bean essence. 🐌 ❤

It’s like you read my mind every week!! I’ve been intrigued by this for a long time. It’s supposed to be a top seller in Korea. I would love to try this sometime in the future now it has had your seal of approval! I have just started using Mizon snail repair essence and love it, not sticky and contains centella which I’m sure helps with any irritation. I also have the K-secret snail serum in my stock, so I’m all snailed out at the moment🐌😂❤

I just turned 60 & sadly only more recently started paying attention to skincare. Had started using niacidimide maybe 2? Years ago & love but everything else is pretty new. I have tho been using a snail mucin but recently did pu the Cosrx one. So for me hard to say long term, but I've followed alot of your suggestions & my skin feels INCREDIBLE ❤. While the snail mucin is great, I'm not opposed to this recommendation. So after my cosrx is empty, I'll probably try this. Love your channel!❤

Hi Rob, I love I'm From Honey Mask, which I received as a gift, and didn't realise at first contained snail mucin. The Mixsoon serum sounds interesting. I'm hoping they have an essence or mist with similar ingredients, I think this would combine well with th MAS serum. ❤

COSRX🐌x3 to ❤mixsoon to Jumiso🐌. I probably will add the ❤mixsoon bean essence back into my routine at a different time than the Jumiso🐌 or alternate as I have before. I find each to have a positive effect on my skin, but I am unsure if I could say snail mucin better is than the bean essence. FYI: I have mature dry/dehydrated skin that is reactive/sensitive due to rosacea.

I am with you on this! Snail mucin GROSS!! As an Esthetician I try a LOT of things, was not going to put that on my skin. I'm vegan too so just wasn't into it. The MIxsoon was lovely! All you said I agree as well as the probiotic benefits from the fermintation of some of the ingredients.

But this glass skin shyt is a Big hard no! Don’t like the look of it but I do like the look of healthy hydrated skin.

Oh good question, I like them both and they will both give a similar result.. I think if you have super sensitive skin with rosacea the vegreen one might just be better for you.. hope this helps. love x

I don’t use the CosRx snail mucin though. I own it but I’ve found some snail mucin from other brands I like better The one I’m using now I like better than CosRx and has additional ingredients in it.

Bean serum is for oily skin I think? As it says helps sebum production?
I think it would work for all skin types but it will help regulate oil levels so for oily skin folk it would be best.. love x

I will always love snail because many years ago, before the world knew about k beauty, i started using korean skin care. Farm Stay snail mucin wa sthe first emulsion i ever tried ans it made a huge difference to my skin! I fell in love with easy absorbed toner/emulsions/essences! Made a huge different to my skin! And made me devoted to k beauty even when it was difficult to get in those days!

The snail mucin irritates my skin a lot. I have rosacea and It doesn't agree with It, it makes it feel so dry and red, it's awful for my skin barrier. The mixsoon bean essence is better for me but i can't use It everyday because It irritates my skin if i do so

At 54yr old with oily skin and large pores, i will never achieve glass skin so its team 🐌🐌🐌 for me. I do find this glass skin can look really artificial in a plastic doll kinda way tbh. We are humans at the end of the day . We ALL have texture.
