You should realize that this video was shot 36 years ago, when our beloved Bonnie was around 25 years old. Like fine wine, this Lady has evolved. Many more to you Bonnie Raitt.
Few of the singers who sound golden early and late in their careers.
Wow . How has she been under my radar for so long ?!
Arguably the most alluring voice in music. Can't hear enough of it.
Still the finest in Badassery! Ms Bonnie Rait!!
Incredible bonnie.
Brilliant guitar player. Love her style. Fantastic singer. Way under-rated. How does material like this not get any airplay! Damn Nashville suits and soccer moms.
I’m from Nashville, born and raised and a guitar player. Those Nashville suits are stuffed full of money and the soccer mom’s are unhappy.
This lady never misses a note...pitch perfect.
love her hair! she is also a sick blues guitarist!
Great 👍 song FANTASTIC SINGER 👩🎤 love Bonnie forever

Years after Lowell George died Bonnie Raitt said she’d rather have Little Feat back than be seventeen again. Now that’s the real deal.
Quality music like this doesn't age.
Interestingly, I was an early fan of Bonnie Raitt who had not yet caught on all that much with the American music scene, but I found, while living in London in the mid-70s, that the English loved her and she was a big hit on the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test in this 1976 appearance and also at the Odeon Hammersmith in London before a jam-packed audience in August 1977, a concert I attended and loved. Ultimately she became a star in the U.S. but I admit I loved her most during her younger years.
This woman got me through the 1970's....
+thamnosma .. me too!
Me as well... right up through the 90s.
Beautifull... love the sincere voice and guitar playin. Special place for Bonnie. Stay Safe.
Such a sage WOMAN!!!!!
Just saw her in Red Rocks with Richard Thompson. Holy shit, the best double bill I've seen in a long time. Her band is brilliant
Miss Bonnie.....chills down my spine
She is so sweet looking and has an incredible voice!
The 'age" here, and the quality. WoWW !! Somewhere there is an archive that deserves a lot of thanks, and also someone else for such good quality in original recording.
thanks
7 dislikes? are people HIGH? (and not in a good way?) Master musician!!!! You go girl!!!!
Great stuff. Lucky to see her play 12 times over a 40+ year period. This is it, baby.
John Armstrong your so lucky!
Just wow! Saw a lot of musician/artists in the late 60’s, early 70’s, but missed her and Hendrix. If you don’t know Bonnie, you don’t know enough about music to be sharing your opinion about musicianship.
Holy shit, she's brilliant
I worked with her nephew, Bay Raitt in Gollum development at WETA Digital in Wellington.
I was amazed he was related to her.
Bonnie's 62 now she sung this at 26-27 and again in '95
I have to meet her before I die. Her sensuality is one of a kind.
yeah, because she is a scorpion through and through!
Oh men, she sings so, so easy!
Daughter of a big Hollywood Star and she's a great blues singer---go figure.
LOVE Bonnie's voice.. original, like no other
She not only sounds good, but she is so pleasing to the eyes!
Alan Hand, what a pianist just wish there was more of him.
Thanks! Thought it was Billy Paine at first.
You can take your Beyonce, your GaGa, your Madonna and the next American Idol and stick em where the sun don't shine. This is what real talent sounds like and real sexy looks like!
Amen!
photonrayswaves I agree....this is simple and pure. She has always been easy on the eyes...still is! Very underrated.
You got that right. This is real talent, not that corporate “assembly line” crap they put out today. When Bonnie was trying to make it in the music business a musician had to actually be able to sing, play, write, etc. And they had to be exceptionally well at it or they wouldn’t make it. Today all they need is a pretty face. The corporations provide the songs and the technology to make them seem talented. It’s pathetic.
LMAO I just realized I replied to a comment written 7 years ago! Hahaha
Might disagree with you concerning Madonna, but I still gave you a thumbs up. Yes Raitt has talent.
Oh God she’s so good. I think her live versions of this song are even better than her studio recording. I was searching for the one I’ve heard that’s my favorite bc the studio one ain’t it! I think it’s this one! 🙌 she’s one of my IDOLS just love her 😭💕
😎 Still jammin in Texas …. Mighty Fine 🎸 🎶
I've been in love with Bonnie for 40 years! Holy Christ!
I came it on "Give It Up or Let Me Go." It's been a journey since I was 14.
It feels great pension Bonnie Raitt from the distant 1976
unforgettable
"Love Me Like A Man"
These men that I've been seeing, baby
Got their soul up on the shelf
You know they could never love me
When they can't even love themselves
But I need someone to love me
Someone to really understand
Who won't put himself above
Who just loves me like a man
I've never seen such losers, Darlin'
Even though I tried
To find a man who could take me home
Stead of takin' me for a ride
And I need someone to love me
I know you can
Believe me when I tell you
You can love me like a man
They all want me to rock them
Like my back ain't got no bone
I want a man to rock me
Like my back bone was his own
Darlin', I know you can
Believe me when I tell you
You can love me like a man
I come home sad and lonely
Feel like I wanna cry
I want a man to hold me
Not some fool to ask me why
I know you can
Don't you put yourself above me
You just love me like a man

Bonnie is truly a woman, and she does get better with age...but the most important thing is that
she expresses and imparts," well", the messages she is singing about...;)
Living legend
makes me glad I was young in the 1970s
ya somos dos que mujer es única,y seguiré estando enamorado de ella
Fine tune by a fine artist
Bonnie is great. I do miss THIS Bonnie the most.
love this lady such soul
Brava bravissima gets better and better w/age.❤❤❤❤
Bummer music isn't made like this anymore... :\
Man I've been seeing, baby
Got their soul up on a shelf
No, they could never love me
Can't even love himself
But, I want someone to love me
Baby, I want a one who understands
Who won't put himself above me
Who can love me like a man
I never seen such losers
Don't think I haven't tried
To find a man to take me home
Instead of always for a ride
Baby, are you someone who can?
Believe me when I tell you, Darlin'
You can love me like a man
They want me to rock on
Like my back ain't got no bone
Why don't you rock me one time, baby
Like my backbone was your own
Baby, I wanna wait until you can
Believe me when I tell you, Darling
You can love me like a man
Come home sad and lonely
Feel like I wanna cry
Come over here and hold me, baby
And don't ever ask they reason why
I said, I want a lover
Won't have to work to understand
Don't you put yourself above me, baby
Love me like a man
It gives me tingles!!!

I have to believe the 23 unlikes (out of 2.5k) were mis-clicks. NOBODY could not like this.
the one and only Lady of the blues !
Nothing beats the sound of good ole traditional blues, traditional country, traditional jazz, and traditional bluegrass...
Without those top 40 charts from the 50's to the present wouldn't be the same!!!!
Oh yeah!!!! You sang Bonnie!!!!
Amen brother I so agree with you!
This is f*ck’n awesome 👏
she could sing the phone book and it would be perfection.
Bonnie Raitt is a first-class composer, singer, and one helluva slide-guitar player. This lady really knows how to sing the blues. THIS IS GREAT TALENT .... not the crap being passed off for nowadays by caterwauling so-called "singers" who are LOUD but don't know jack about nuance and phrasing. So there!
Happy Birthday Bonnie...!
I never had a bad thing to say about Bonnie Raitt, prob never will...
Like my backbone ... was your own!!!!!
i love her like a fan!
Love this classic
Good call! I read the "today's birthday's" everyday in my paper and whenever it's a singer, I post their vid on FB :)
