      Well... It wasn't groundbreaking, the Spectrum version got a lot of bad reviews because of it's poor graphics, music and synthesized speech however it was extremely playable for some reason and had re-playability because of you Bank balance carrying over to a new game so you could buy better vehicles and equipment on subsequent playthroughs

    It seems to me that you don't place the trap close enough to the middle and you don't place your two men anywhere near far enough away from it. When the Slimer drops low down and near one of them you can fire the streams up and then move them inwards, eventually pinning the Slimer between them in a pyramid shape (don't cross the streams obviously, or the packs short out and you have to head home to recharge them). This means the ghost ends up with hardly any room to manoeuvre in and makes a trapping almost certain.

  • @karlchuckberry
    @karlchuckberry Před 8 lety +4

    One thing i don't understand though is when you have placed your men and traps, if you miss, I'm sure you could move at least one of the little guys left or right. And if you did you got either a warning saying never cross the streams or if you did you died and it said "you crossed the streams" or maybe both?

    • @MikeRosoftJH
      @MikeRosoftJH Před rokem

      If you cross the streams, the attempt to catch the ghost ends, and the game tells you something like: "You have crossed the streams! Fortunately the backpack energy has run out in time." (And you have to return to the headquarters to recharge it.)
      When you place the trap and the two guys, you can then move them in order to squeeze the ghost between them and catch it with the trap. But if you miss, you can't try again, and the ghost attacks one of the guys. (If you fail in two missions, you can't place the needed two men in order to catch the ghost, and you again need to return to HQ so that they can recover.)

  • @Reebus_
    @Reebus_ Před 5 lety +1

    • @jeffbuss1062
      @jeffbuss1062 Před 7 lety

      I managed the feat, once - think it's something to do with Stay puft shifting to the left at the top of one of his jumps in the sequence - you had to be absolutely spot on with your timing. The 48k+ version didnt have the animation of climbing the tower at the end either - just jumped straight to the end bank screen with the account code
