can you guys do a top 10 things in power rangers that were done different from their sentai counterparts (like how megaforce and super megaforce were 2 different seasons, or how antonio was asushi chef in the sentai version?)

I disagree with Antonio being on the list. He was arguably one of the better parts of Samurai since he actually had a personality and wasn't a stiff, hardened attitude the rest of the Samurai Rangers had. He was also a much better comic relief than Mike( At least I think Mike was the comic relief of the Samurai Rangers. He just mainly simped for Emily). Also, you're definitely right about Master Ji. He only really paid attention to Jaydan and basically kept telling the other Samurai Rangers to be like Jaydan, I get the guy took care of him from when he was young, but that shouldn't mean he should have favoritism or treat the other Rangers like their below Jaydan.
I agree. Don’t get me wrong, I see how Antonio might have been less disciplined than the other Rangers, but he still gets a more hate than he deserves. His character was especially punished during Super Samurai, when he was written to be nothing more than a joke. He’s not even as hyperactive as Genta (his Sentai counterpart), who still was taken more seriously than Antonio. Even though Samurai is barely watchable, Antonio is one of the few characters I actually care about.
There are a few you can argue against this list. Antonio, Justin, troy, and sam. Sure they have significant flaws, but that doesn't make them very terrible
Hot take, but I actually really like Flit from Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Antonio from Power Rangers Samurai is also pretty dope too, and Justin from Power Rangers Turbo gets way too much hate. Animus/Kite is probably my least favourite character of the entire franchise. Just downright insufferable, and comes off a massive preachy @sshole.
Yeah, Antonio for me next to Jayden was one of the beat Samurai rangers. Plus, their taking his personality from Shinkenger so, of course he's goof. Dustin also is a fine Ranger, but definitely watch Carranger. Much better.
iirc though the idea was to have him be not exactly human being connected to the thing that gives them their powers but it was turned down and in spite of if being turned down the directors still told him to act like the concept that was turned down

Yeh and he does learn lesson about how they took advantage of jenji and lose his lazy way. And he also learn that he is a lore and accept it. There are times where he's relatable. Like dark wish. Yes it's wrong for them to take magic as their shortcut but u would be in their shoes too if yu fought 4 villains in 1 hour. To be honest this guy is massively much better than Connor McKnight. The guy is about to quit being a ranger all for his soccer dream tho he did redeemed himself in the end. He complains at just about anything like when they watch the abareranger, has trust issues especially when it comes to Trent, and always make Ethan and kira the butt of his joke. To kira most of his comment to her are overly sexist

In Prince Vekar's defense, his Japanese Sentai counterpart Warizu Giru was just as much of a whiny spoiled baby as he is. That was one thing they actually got RIGHT about a character from Gokaiger
I tote agree. Other than feeling babysitting Justin is super awkward Justin is actually a good kid with some decent character development. He, tyzonn, nick, and Sam should be at the bottom or not in this list at all

I’m surprised that Demetria isn’t on this list, since she was mostly useless for the half of Turbo and then left the Rangers alone (who had just sacrificed all of their Zords and weapons in order to take down one competent monster), just in time for Divatox to stumble upon the Power Chamber and bomb it.
@@ethancasem8259 That's actually one of her better traits, which is fine in healthy amounts. If Demetria wanted the Rangers to figure certain things out for themselves, that would be one thing. It's another when the world is on the line and they need her guidance, which, honestly, she was so bad at. But, after a while, she just stopped trying, so she might as well have left soon.
Trent from Dino Thunder is my favorite Power Ranger. His crush on Kira, his Jekyll and Hyde persona as the White Ranger, then becoming fully corrupted by its power, then being freed of it unintentionally by Mesagog, who Trent then learned was his own father and decided to keep it a secret out of love for him and he was never ever truly completely trusted by his teammates especially after his father's identity was revealed. There were so many layers and thought put into his character. Also, his costume with the chest shield and red visor was the best.

Was trying to do research on the Vypra footage. I presumed they were looking for someone who was Asian to make the Sentai Footage somewhat consistent. I then found out that her Power Rangers actress retired from acting and started up a skincare company due to the effects of playing Vypra……. ouch
You left several monsters off the list that I personally hated. Not to mention the ultimate egotist Victor Vincent and his sycophant Monty, who did little more than make fools of themselves in the worst possible ways.
I don’t understand why Nick is on this list. He’s probably the most normal person on this show. He doesn’t want to be the chosen hero rather instead wanting to live a normal life. In the course of the show he finds out that Udana and his enemy are his birth parents, has to be a leader even though he’s not qualified, and work a crappy job on the side because you don’t get paid to be a Ranger. In the end he saves the world and gets his waifu the blue Ranger so I guess it was worth it 😂
You also forgot how they trolled the audience by having Vypra be the only villain they brought back in the Lightspeed Rescue- Time Foce crossover episode.
Surprised that Victor and Monty, the most HORRID comic relief characters, PERIOD, were not on this list. Also surprised that Galvanax, the most forgettable/pointless/worthless excuse for a main villain didn’t make the cut either. I would have honestly replaced Nick with either of these Ninja Steel characters to be honest.

In my opinion, I did like Nick as a red ranger, it is true that he had several low points such as his excessive role, but there were many things that I liked about him, such as his history and development, at first he did not believe in the magic and he doubted himself a lot, but then he began to have more confidence in his abilities and ended up being the one who had the most faith in magic, it is true that he does not think much before acting, but another thing that I love about Nick is that he has the spirit of a warrior to the letter, since when villains like Koragg knocked him to the ground repeatedly, instead of giving up or even intimidated, he became even more determined to fight, Nick is pure fire, in fact, the Most of the red rangers have the power of said element, but Nick is the one who is more related to fire, the more they knock him down, the more intense it gets. It annoyed a lot of people that Nick chickened out in the last few chapters, but I liked it because it gave it more realism, the red rangers have to be unbreakable, which is admirable but also very difficult and can't always be achieved and Nick represents that. , he just saw his entire world plunge into darkness after seeing the corpses of his father and his teacher, anyone in his position would have reacted the same, that's why Nick seems to me one of the most humane red rangers I've ever seen, besides It is his team that raises his confidence, which I liked because it strengthened the union in the team. Though he’s not my favorite red, I completely agree with everything you said. He did bring a certain realism to a red ranger that I appreciated, it made it seem more adult in a way. And yeah, despite his flaws, they didn’t outweigh his positive moments where I just couldn’t stand seeing him on screen. that’s personally reserved for other characters for me
Nick and Justin were NOT bad characters. I'm tired of this narrative that Nick was a bad red ranger. I can make up 20 moments he was a GREAT character, but people harp on the same like...3 moments he was crappy and use that as an argument that he sucked overall. Tyler was worse than him.
I agree as well. Some of the immaturity displayed by Nick is because they are using Sentai footage and his counterpart while being the Red Ranger was infact the youngest member of the group.
I always thought that the "bland acting" that people see was actors expressing on screen that they hate the directions and dialogue they're given. And speaking of Gosei, there was a quiz that describes him as an alleged student of Zordon
Well Divatox is probably the one villain that set the new rangers up for greatness. After losing to the worst villains in history and hitting a low point-they went on to being mentored by one of the greatest rangers outside Earth. They came into their own and defeated all evil in the universe-telling us all that even after the worst failures-you can still achieve something greater. Probably not the intention of the writers-but if you think about it; it’s probably one of the greatest morals ever.
I'm just glad Astronema doesn't have to put up with Elgar's crap unlike in Turbo, in Space gives us times when Astronema justs hits or punishes him! So satisfying when he's finally gone thanks to Zordon.
Antonio is the most liked characters in Samurai he is the one who saved the season, Mentor Ji on the other hand I feel like spends more time Jayden, while he trains all the samurai he spends the most time with him and it's the first season I watched. And Animus didn't have to take wild zords away from the wild force rangers.

I mean, I get that the Turbo season was to represent that not all power rangers seasons have a happy ending, but it's also my least favorite season of all.

No Victor and Monty? The guys who plagued the series with their juvenile toilet humor or self absorbed personalities? But yeah, Gosei is easily the worst mentor in the series.
Victor and Monty would've been better had they given them some sort of season(s)-long character arc to match their screen time. Instead they hit the same beats every time out. And yes, it's what we initially got with Bulk and Skull (S1 antics were cringe), but we did get to see them develop a bit over time, to the point where they became fan favourites. But with the Nick shows, you really only had 2 seasons to develop characters, and they just never did with Victor and Monty.

In my opinion, Scott Truman from RPM should have topped this list. RPM was the weakest & worst Power Rangers team period. That is why I wouldn't ever watch Power Rangers RPM at all period.
To be honest, I actually really liked Antonio, samurai's team was straightlased and super rigid, making it sorta boring to watch, but Antonio's liveliness and fun loving attitude made the season way better in my opinion, not great, in fact it is still very bleh, but still far from the worst
Me too Tyzoon was my favourite member of Operation Overdrive too how on earth is he a disappointment love it when he defeated and killed off the fearcats villains Mig and them were a real pain in the life weren't, I would say Mig and his fearcats are the real disappointments of power rangers then Tyzoon since Tyzoon save thousands of lives very well while the fearcats are monster brutes that deserve justice execution for all the innocent people they massacred including his old team before joining Mack and the Operation Overdrive team all the way indeed yeah!
To give Choobo credit, his plan was honestly working out well. Had it not been for the Wind Rangers' interference, his plan likely would've succeeded. Also, in Tyzonn's defense, he was a late addition to the team. But despite his wavy development over the course of the season, I still found his vendetta against the fearcats and connections to Moltor interesting. Plus, I'll always cheer when he delivers the finishing blow to Mig, that was the definitive moment where I was like "Go, Tyzonn!" He wasn't the deepest or most amazing sixth ranger, but I'll always respect the fact that it broke the format by having a previous monster of the week become a ranger.
Divatox was only able to beat the rangers because the her last monster Goldgoyle. She sent him after the rangers and he badly damaged one of their megazords. The other zord was destroyed in a vain attempt to kill the monster by self-destruction. They were able to defeat him by combining their weapons together and sending them into his mouth to self-destruct, which finally killed him. Because of him, the power rangers were exhausted from the fight and their best weapons and zords were either gone or too damaged to use against Divatox's attack.
What ruins Divatox completely is her reason why she wants to destroy the Rangers, the reason is because they ruined her wedding. Making Divatox look like a spoiled and tantrum girl.
You don’t blame the actor's or characters,. You blame the writers and directors and head executives of the studios who makes the characters stupid or ooc.
Yeah I'm gonna defend Nick Rusell here, cause a) Mystic Force is my favorite season, and b) the whole point of his character since the beginning was "I DON'T WANNA BE A POWER RANGER BUT FINE I'M GONNA DO IT" and would you look at that he always ended up stepping up to help. The clips that WatchMojo chose of him complaining are so taken out of context, I remember those eps, and one was he wanted to give up cause all of his friends were being captured as leverage until he gave up. In the other ep he and the other rangers were literally stuck in magic hell. I'd be feeling pretty hopeless too.
I agree with you! Watchmojo only wanted to choose Nick’s worse moments without showing his great moments where he showed that he was a great character and hero! Heck, I would want to be the Red Mystic Ranger is I were a Power Ranger and would even be cool with him training me as his next successor!
Is it weird at all that I was born in 2001 (the year of time force- one of the most iconic seasons), but mystic force (one of the more decent middle-of-the-road seasons) was the first series I watched, when I was in kindergarten, and therefore have a bit of a soft spot for mystic force? But even as a young kid, overdrive made me cringe in anger, AS A KID.
Not at all, I was born on 2002 and was introduced to power rangers by my father. He had CD collections of Mighty Morphin, Wild Force, Ninja Storm and SPD but it was Dino Thunder that vibed with me, one of the reasons I grew up a dino nerd lol.
Weirdly enough, I actually had an old friend growing up named Nick Ziniti, and he looked almost exactly like Nick Russel (with the dark hair and green eyes).
Justin wasn't a terrible character by any means; it was just beyond jarring for a preteen to become a power ranger within a group of teenagers. Hence, the TEENS WITH ATTITUDE part. It also didn't help that it was all an excuse on Saban's part to pander to younger audiences when Justin joined the Turbo rangers. Yikes.
@zeoking silver It's because Beetleborgs who leads were kids was beating Power Rangers in the ratings. Saban thought he could repeat that success with Justin's actor. However the problem was that that's not what made Power Rangers worked. Plus it felt awkward that all of an sudden he was hanging out with people that unless they babysat him or was part of an boys and girls club type situation. Sure arguably he was the best ranger in Turbo but there's an reason why they never tried the idea again after Turbo. It backfired.

Even Dino Charge felt lacking. 99% of the show felt like it had no emotion or urgency. A plot was there. There were technically well written episodes. You just never felt emotionally invested in whatever was happening & couldn't figure out why.
Here are a couple of dishonorable mentions: Alex Drake (Power Rangers: Time Force): Not only he rudely took his mantle of the Red Ranger back from Wes, but he also acted like a nasty drill sergeant to his teammates, including his fiancée: Jen. The A-Squad (Power Rangers: SPD): A group of egotistical showoffs who rallied to Gruumm's side out of feeling superior to others. Talk about pityness.
I think his character for what they were trying to do was interesting and so were the others too I thought the concept and the way they were introduced was interesting

Dax from Operation Overdrive has to be one of my most disliked characters throughout the whole franchise. Followed very closely by Troy from the megaforce seasons. As far as favorites, go, my top three are obviously, Tommy, Eric from Time force, and my favorite red ranger has to be Carter from lightspeed rescue

I’ve heard it’s because she looks like the actress of the sentai equivalent and that saved them money on shots where the character is filmed from behind or you can’t distinctly see her mouth moving and they just used the sentai shots for those. It sounds plausible but I’m still not 100% sure.
The one thing I give Ninja Storm credit for with the villains is that the only competent main villain for the majority of the series, Zurgane, is just constantly crapped on by all the idiots, only for it to flip when you find out Lothor's real plan & that the stupidity was just an act.

Operation Overdrive is the rare season where the entire team could be on this list. At literally the first sign of trouble, they gave up and went home. What a bunch of cowards.
@IdanSentai.Crafts THEY COULD'VE FUCKING TRIED TO BE HELPFUL! Try to fix their powers, help out at the command center, train with the vets, FUCKING ANYTHING! But no, the second they lose their powers, they quit like children and go home. It literally spits in the face of every time a previous ranger team went through this exact situation of losing their powers and deciding to keep fighting anyway. When the Mighty Morphin Team got turned into kids, they didn't just go home and let the Alien Rangers do everything. They helped out. They kept trying to find a solution The Operation Overdrive team are cowards, pure and simple.
I honestly didn't mind the Overdrive Rangers quitting in "Once a Ranger", as controversial as that may be. With the way I saw it, most of them (except for Mack) weren't written as traditional idealised heroes and were just heroes for hire who treated their ranger duties like it's a paid job. So when the Sentinel Knight outright says he was going to replace the Overdrive team, they treated it as if they were laid off. Of course they're gonna be bummed. This isn't like with MMPR or Turbo where it was a simple passing the torch, the Overdrive Rangers were replaced. "But they still had their civilian powers!" Yes, and they actually did try using them against the villains and still lost pretty miserably. Like, maybe they can fight off the foot soldiers with them, but the main villains... absolutely not. Plus, they probably felt redundant with the superior, more powerful rangers taking their place.

I'm gonna get a lot of hate but I thought Richie (Trini's love interest) is one of the worst and boring characters in Power Rangers history. The late Maurice Mendoza is a good-looking guy but he always gives bland delivery and smiles a lot. Does the Power Rangers die-hard fans liked Richie? Zack's love-interest, Angela, is more memorable than Richie.
How come Victor from Ninja Steel didn't make #1 of this list since he's so self-absorbed that he causes problems for others especially the Rangers to make himself look good? Don't know why Monty doesn't bother to cut the cord of his friendship with him
I still prefer Magiranger better than Power Rangers Mystic Force but I wished that Xander the Green Ranger would’ve made a much better leader of the team than Nick the Red Ranger considering that Xander also returned in Operation Overdrive during Power Rangers 15th Anniversary.

My favourite rangers are Riley and chase from dino charge as they are polar opposites but also work really well as a duo, I like Riley’s skill with a sword as it makes for good fight scenes and chase is just funny and relatively well balanced ( neither are to weak or to strong)

I think the issue with the PR adaptation of him was that Megaforce’s building up of him, the leader of the dreaded Armada, as this imposing, end-all be-all villain that would put all the other villain groups previously showcased in the show to shame. While his Sentai counterpart was similarly whiny and incompetent, there was an in-universe reason why a moron like him was heading this almighty invasion force’s mission to conquer Earth. This was because, by the time of Gokaiger, all of Earth’s heroes had lost their powers because of a prior attack from said invasion force. Therefore, the emperor’s Sentai counterpart thought conquering a defenseless Earth would be a simple task that even his idiotic, spoiled brat of a son couldn’t screw up.
Justin was pretty bad. And that's really on the producers for deciding that they needed a kid on the show in order to draw in younger viewers. A real case of misreading the room.
This person just proof my point. They hate Justin because he was a kid. All the reasons people gives for hating him is because he is a kid. I think he did a good job as a Ranger.
@@quaylehak26Where did I say that I hated Justin? I said the character was bad, yes, but "hate" is a pretty strong term that I did not use. And I didn't dislike Justin "because he is a kid". It's more cynicism directed at Saban because they very clearly created the character to appeal to kids, which the fanbase really didn't want. And maybe, if Justin was written well, it would be mission accomplished. But I don't really think that the writers knew HOW to write a child character, never mind a child character that had to constantly interact with young adults. That poor dynamic really hurt the season, and resulted in a character that was quite literally left behind at the end of the season. I disagree with Antonio being on the list. He was arguably one of the better parts of Samurai since he actually had a personality and wasn't a stiff, hardened attitude the rest of the Samurai Rangers had. He was also a much better comic relief than Mike( At least I think Mike was the comic relief of the Samurai Rangers. He just mainly simped for Emily).
Also, you're definitely right about Master Ji. He only really paid attention to Jaydan and basically kept telling the other Samurai Rangers to be like Jaydan, I get the guy took care of him from when he was young, but that shouldn't mean he should have favoritism or treat the other Rangers like their below Jaydan.

I agree. Don’t get me wrong, I see how Antonio might have been less disciplined than the other Rangers, but he still gets a more hate than he deserves. His character was especially punished during Super Samurai, when he was written to be nothing more than a joke. He’s not even as hyperactive as Genta (his Sentai counterpart), who still was taken more seriously than Antonio. Even though Samurai is barely watchable, Antonio is one of the few characters I actually care about.
There are a few you can argue against this list. Antonio, Justin, troy, and sam. Sure they have significant flaws, but that doesn't make them very terrible
Hot take, but I actually really like Flit from Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Antonio from Power Rangers Samurai is also pretty dope too, and Justin from Power Rangers Turbo gets way too much hate.
Animus/Kite is probably my least favourite character of the entire franchise. Just downright insufferable, and comes off a massive preachy @sshole.
Yeah, Antonio for me next to Jayden was one of the beat Samurai rangers. Plus, their taking his personality from Shinkenger so, of course he's goof. Dustin also is a fine Ranger, but definitely watch Carranger. Much better.

In Prince Vekar's defense, his Japanese Sentai counterpart Warizu Giru was just as much of a whiny spoiled baby as he is. That was one thing they actually got RIGHT about a character from Gokaiger

That's actually one of her better traits, which is fine in healthy amounts. If Demetria wanted the Rangers to figure certain things out for themselves, that would be one thing. It's another when the world is on the line and they need her guidance, which, honestly, she was so bad at. But, after a while, she just stopped trying, so she might as well have left soon.

Trent from Dino Thunder is my favorite Power Ranger. His crush on Kira, his Jekyll and Hyde persona as the White Ranger, then becoming fully corrupted by its power, then being freed of it unintentionally by Mesagog, who Trent then learned was his own father and decided to keep it a secret out of love for him and he was never ever truly completely trusted by his teammates especially after his father's identity was revealed. There were so many layers and thought put into his character. Also, his costume with the chest shield and red visor was the best.
Our Boi is not on the list though.

Was trying to do research on the Vypra footage. I presumed they were looking for someone who was Asian to make the Sentai Footage somewhat consistent. I then found out that her Power Rangers actress retired from acting and started up a skincare company due to the effects of playing Vypra……. ouch

I don’t understand why Nick is on this list. He’s probably the most normal person on this show. He doesn’t want to be the chosen hero rather instead wanting to live a normal life. In the course of the show he finds out that Udana and his enemy are his birth parents, has to be a leader even though he’s not qualified, and work a crappy job on the side because you don’t get paid to be a Ranger.
In the end he saves the world and gets his waifu the blue Ranger so I guess it was worth it 😂

In my opinion, I did like Nick as a red ranger, it is true that he had several low points such as his excessive role, but there were many things that I liked about him, such as his history and development, at first he did not believe in the magic and he doubted himself a lot, but then he began to have more confidence in his abilities and ended up being the one who had the most faith in magic, it is true that he does not think much before acting, but another thing that I love about Nick is that he has the spirit of a warrior to the letter, since when villains like Koragg knocked him to the ground repeatedly, instead of giving up or even intimidated, he became even more determined to fight, Nick is pure fire, in fact, the Most of the red rangers have the power of said element, but Nick is the one who is more related to fire, the more they knock him down, the more intense it gets. Though he’s not my favorite red, I completely agree with everything you said. He did bring a certain realism to a red ranger that I appreciated, it made it seem more adult in a way. Nick and Justin were NOT bad characters. I'm tired of this narrative that Nick was a bad red ranger. I can make up 20 moments he was a GREAT character, but people harp on the same like...3 moments he was crappy and use that as an argument that he sucked overall. Tyler was worse than him.

Well Divatox is probably the one villain that set the new rangers up for greatness. After losing to the worst villains in history and hitting a low point-they went on to being mentored by one of the greatest rangers outside Earth. They came into their own and defeated all evil in the universe-telling us all that even after the worst failures-you can still achieve something greater.
Probably not the intention of the writers-but if you think about it; it’s probably one of the greatest morals ever.
I'm just glad Astronema doesn't have to put up with Elgar's crap unlike in Turbo, in Space gives us times when Astronema justs hits or punishes him! So satisfying when he's finally gone thanks to Zordon.
Antonio is the most liked characters in Samurai he is the one who saved the season, Mentor Ji on the other hand I feel like spends more time Jayden, while he trains all the samurai he spends the most time with him and it's the first season I watched. And Animus didn't have to take wild zords away from the wild force rangers.

Victor and Monty would've been better had they given them some sort of season(s)-long character arc to match their screen time. Instead they hit the same beats every time out. And yes, it's what we initially got with Bulk and Skull (S1 antics were cringe), but we did get to see them develop a bit over time, to the point where they became fan favourites. But with the Nick shows, you really only had 2 seasons to develop characters, and they just never did with Victor and Monty.

To give Choobo credit, his plan was honestly working out well. Had it not been for the Wind Rangers' interference, his plan likely would've succeeded.
Also, in Tyzonn's defense, he was a late addition to the team. But despite his wavy development over the course of the season, I still found his vendetta against the fearcats and connections to Moltor interesting. Plus, I'll always cheer when he delivers the finishing blow to Mig, that was the definitive moment where I was like "Go, Tyzonn!" He wasn't the deepest or most amazing sixth ranger, but I'll always respect the fact that it broke the format by having a previous monster of the week become a ranger.
Let's be fair, divatox obviously had only one moment, which was destroying their base. And yes, villains can humiliate the rangers if they wanted to

Divatox was only able to beat the rangers because the her last monster Goldgoyle. She sent him after the rangers and he badly damaged one of their megazords. The other zord was destroyed in a vain attempt to kill the monster by self-destruction. They were able to defeat him by combining their weapons together and sending them into his mouth to self-destruct, which finally killed him. Because of him, the power rangers were exhausted from the fight and their best weapons and zords were either gone or too damaged to use against Divatox's attack.
Divatox was not a bad character. Even if she didn't defeat the Rangers, she'd still be a memorable character

Yeah I'm gonna defend Nick Rusell here, cause a) Mystic Force is my favorite season, and b) the whole point of his character since the beginning was "I DON'T WANNA BE A POWER RANGER BUT FINE I'M GONNA DO IT" and would you look at that he always ended up stepping up to help. The clips that WatchMojo chose of him complaining are so taken out of context, I remember those eps, and one was he wanted to give up cause all of his friends were being captured as leverage until he gave up. In the other ep he and the other rangers were literally stuck in magic hell. I'd be feeling pretty hopeless too.

Is it weird at all that I was born in 2001 (the year of time force- one of the most iconic seasons), but mystic force (one of the more decent middle-of-the-road seasons) was the first series I watched, when I was in kindergarten, and therefore have a bit of a soft spot for mystic force?
But even as a young kid, overdrive made me cringe in anger, AS A KID.
2002 was when I was born and that's when Wild Force was Released but The Series I watched Growing Up was Samurai back in 2nd Grade
Not at all, I was born on 2002 and was introduced to power rangers by my father. He had CD collections of Mighty Morphin, Wild Force, Ninja Storm and SPD but it was Dino Thunder that vibed with me, one of the reasons I grew up a dino nerd lol.

Weirdly enough, I actually had an old friend growing up named Nick Ziniti, and he looked almost exactly like Nick Russel (with the dark hair and green eyes).
Justin wasn't a terrible character by any means; it was just beyond jarring for a preteen to become a power ranger within a group of teenagers. Hence, the TEENS WITH ATTITUDE part. It also didn't help that it was all an excuse on Saban's part to pander to younger audiences when Justin joined the Turbo rangers. Yikes.

However the problem was that that's not what made Power Rangers worked. Plus it felt awkward that all of an sudden he was hanging out with people that unless they babysat him or was part of an boys and girls club type situation. Sure arguably he was the best ranger in Turbo but there's an reason why they never tried the idea again after Turbo. It backfired.

Even Dino Charge felt lacking. 99% of the show felt like it had no emotion or urgency. A plot was there. There were technically well written episodes. You just never felt emotionally invested in whatever was happening & couldn't figure out why.

The A-Squad (Power Rangers: SPD): A group of egotistical showoffs who rallied to Gruumm's side out of feeling superior to others. Talk about pityness.

Dax from Operation Overdrive has to be one of my most disliked characters throughout the whole franchise. Followed very closely by Troy from the megaforce seasons.
As far as favorites, go, my top three are obviously, Tommy, Eric from Time force, and my favorite red ranger has to be Carter from lightspeed rescue
The fact that Dax is literally the only surviving member in his team shattered grind is laughable and sad at the same time

I’ve heard it’s because she looks like the actress of the sentai equivalent and that saved them money on shots where the character is filmed from behind or you can’t distinctly see her mouth moving and they just used the sentai shots for those. It sounds plausible but I’m still not 100% sure.

The one thing I give Ninja Storm credit for with the villains is that the only competent main villain for the majority of the series, Zurgane, is just constantly crapped on by all the idiots, only for it to flip when you find out Lothor's real plan & that the stupidity was just an act.

I don't think the acting in Power Rangers is supposed to taken seriously or one of the main reasons to watch the show.
They're pandering to kids, unlike Super Sentai which is attracted to kids, and young adults, thanks to it's drama.
To this day Jason David Frank will always be the best Ranger and my favorite and nobody can ever outmatch him.

When the Mighty Morphin Team got turned into kids, they didn't just go home and let the Alien Rangers do everything. They helped out. They kept trying to find a solution
The Operation Overdrive team are cowards, pure and simple.
I honestly didn't mind the Overdrive Rangers quitting in "Once a Ranger", as controversial as that may be.
With the way I saw it, most of them (except for Mack) weren't written as traditional idealised heroes and were just heroes for hire who treated their ranger duties like it's a paid job. So when the Sentinel Knight outright says he was going to replace the Overdrive team, they treated it as if they were laid off. Of course they're gonna be bummed. This isn't like with MMPR or Turbo where it was a simple passing the torch, the Overdrive Rangers were replaced.

Yes, and they actually did try using them against the villains and still lost pretty miserably. Like, maybe they can fight off the foot soldiers with them, but the main villains... absolutely not. Plus, they probably felt redundant with the superior, more powerful rangers taking their place.

I'm gonna get a lot of hate but I thought Richie (Trini's love interest) is one of the worst and boring characters in Power Rangers history.
The late Maurice Mendoza is a good-looking guy but he always gives bland delivery and smiles a lot.
Does the Power Rangers die-hard fans liked Richie? Zack's love-interest, Angela, is more memorable than Richie.
Hardly anyone remembers him though. 😂

My favourite rangers are Riley and chase from dino charge as they are polar opposites but also work really well as a duo, I like Riley’s skill with a sword as it makes for good fight scenes and chase is just funny and relatively well balanced ( neither are to weak or to strong)

I loved all these characters! Okay Vekar was one of the most pathetic villains on the show, but that’s how he was in Gokaiger too.
Plus if fits more when you realise even Mavro thinks Vekar is a screw up, he calls him an 'empty headed blunder' which is what they were meant to be going for with Vekar to show the difference in the older Vekar to his younger brother Vrak
I think the issue with the PR adaptation of him was that Megaforce’s building up of him, the leader of the dreaded Armada, as this imposing, end-all be-all villain that would put all the other villain groups previously showcased in the show to shame. While his Sentai counterpart was similarly whiny and incompetent, there was an in-universe reason why a moron like him was heading this almighty invasion force’s mission to conquer Earth. This was because, by the time of Gokaiger, all of Earth’s heroes had lost their powers because of a prior attack from said invasion force. Therefore, the emperor’s Sentai counterpart thought conquering a defenseless Earth would be a simple task that even his idiotic, spoiled brat of a son couldn’t screw up.
Justin was pretty bad. And that's really on the producers for deciding that they needed a kid on the show in order to draw in younger viewers. A real case of misreading the room.

This person just proof my point. They hate Justin because he was a kid. All the reasons people gives for hating him is because he is a kid. I think he did a good job as a Ranger.

And I didn't dislike Justin "because he is a kid". It's more cynicism directed at Saban because they very clearly created the character to appeal to kids, which the fanbase really didn't want.
And maybe, if Justin was written well, it would be mission accomplished. But I don't really think that the writers knew HOW to write a child character, never mind a child character that had to constantly interact with young adults. That poor dynamic really hurt the season, and resulted in a character that was quite literally left behind at the end of the season.
I give Blake Foster props - he did his job and he was not the problem with Justin. That would be akin to blaming Ahmed Best for Jar Jar Binks. The actors were fine. The character was not.
