  • I asked myself, should I build a Korvold deck? Then I asked myself, WHY NOT!!! When you think of Jund, is there any other commander that comes to mind? I’m waiting … I didn’t think so. Let’s see why Korvold is the true king of Jund.

    1. Dockside goes infinite with sabertooth 2. the Skelletton with pitiless plunderer and a sac outlett that gets you mana. What i actually also realy like in that deck is chatterfang becasue it goes also infinite with Pitiless Plunderer and can just get to a lethal amount of squirels with the amount of treasures you are making.

    • @vex_mtg

    Animation Module should be an auto include in Korvold because of it's strong interaction with your commander. With a sac outlet it turns Korvold into 1 mana: draw a card, and it goes infinite with ashnod's altar. It also interacts well with Carrion Feeder, Mazirek, and Pitiless Plunderer, but you don't get the card draw. I would highly recommend it.

    • @rxmy6690
      @rxmy6690 Před 16 dny

    I'd be really curious to see this deck updated with New Capenna cards. An infinite combo that I've made pop off in my own Korvold deck is the trifecta *wink* of Plunderer, Ashnod's Altar and Stimulus Package. Stimulus Package is a treasure sac outlet and makes you creature tokens. Sac a treasure, make a creature, sac the creature to altar, make a treasure, rinse a repeat

    You missed a few things on turn 4: solemn simulacrum draw, swiftfoot costs 1 to equip, when you swing with korvold he triggers and you sac a permanent, exalted also triggers. So korvold wouldve been 7/7

    I'm in the process of building this deck.
    But as a novice player, I have to wonder, despite this commander being amazing, doesn't the deck just die to a counterspell the moment you attempt to cast Korvold? For as powerful as it is, any smart player in the pod is gonna hold the counter spell. Then what? You have to ramp hard to try again only to walk into another counter spell?
    Yeah seems so good....
    I'm sounding a little salty just because I know how players in my area are. If they know something is coming, they will forget about everything else and put 100% of their efforts on stopping the one thing they are afraid of. In this case, Korvold.
