Thanks for not re-recording that brain fog moment. While I don't have fibro, I have a neuropathic pain condition, and the brain fog, well yeah, it's alive and well with this one, too. And it's definitely worse at the moment; Christmas craziness, I guess. Hearing your brain fog moment made me feel a little better about all of my brain fog moments over the past few weeks. You reminded me that I'm not the only one.
I definitely noticed an increase in brain fog around Christmas! you must be right, it's the extra craziness and stress and excitement... now what can I use as an excuse for the rest of the year..... hahaha!
Lengthy but really helpful spread 👌 N i am really glad that you dint re-record, just shows that everyone is the same, sometimes we deviate from the train of thought n thats perfectly fine, your laugh made me laugh too😁 n your kid n cats barging in was cute af!!😍 Merry Christmas to you n your family 🎅🤶 ❤️ From India.
We’ve just had Christmas Day and it’s quarter to ten in the evening here in Australia. Another Christmas alone for me, but at least watching this video gave me a really good laugh! Personally I think all the narration that you may have redone, if time permitted, would have only resulted in us all missing out on your terrific laughter! ❤️❤️❤️ Hearing people laugh is one of life’s great joys. You simply cannot at least smile when someone is having a right good laugh at themselves or the situation. 😁😆😃 It certainly gave me a giggle. 🤣🤣🤣 If only people could laugh more at themselves, there would be many less stressed out frustrated and yes, even less angry people in the world and perhaps that gap which often divides us could be bridged .........if only. ☮️☮️☮️ May you have joy in abundance this holiday season and throughout 2019.
Loved the video. I cope with chronic fatigue, so I get the brain fog. So far, it's not as "bad" as fibrofog, but I have family that has fibro--so I've seen a little first hand. Which brings me to a favorite quote of mine that's usually attributed to Dr. Seuess (forgive me if I butcher it a bit, going from memory here) "Those who matter don't mind, those who mind don't matter." Those who are your people won't mind. If they are anything like me, they will love that you keep it real. Hope you had a wonderful holiday!
I am in my second month of journaling and I find it helps me a lot. Because my days are very similar, I use a Routine page in which I list all the things I starting when I get up and progressing through the day. On the daily pages, I fill in details. For example, I am taking several online classes that are different lengths so on the Routine page I list Class 1, Class 2, etc.. Then on the daily page I list the name of the class and the lesson I am doing along with any assignments. I also have fibromyalgia and pulmonary hypertension and I'm 75 years old, each of which causes brain fog. I was encouraged to see you overcome and continue your video.
Just wanted to let you know, it's really refreshing that you leave your personality in the videos instead of re-recording or editing it out! People like to relate to others and it really helps make that happen 😊
Thank you for not re-recording. Hearing you have the strength and confidence to let us witness your brain flubs pushed me to subscribe. I have them all the time, and in my line of work, it can REALLY hurt my productivity. It's refreshing to see I'm not the only one. Thank you for doing that, it's actually quite inspiring!
You are one of my top 3 bullet journalists. You’re so humble through it all. And I must say I enjoyed that you said it didn’t matter that your son interrupted your vid because SO many moms ignore their much younger children or grandchildren and it irks me
I loved your narration. It was so 'real'. And apparently I'm not alone in having a brain that has nap attacks while the rest of me is awake. "Um. What was I on about??"
What a wonderful Christmas present! (We open our presents on Christmas eve here in Sweden). You are such a delight to listen to, it feels like I'm sitting in the room with you and having an actual conversation about your bullet journal. Thank you so much for your videos, and have a lovely Christmas 😄🎄
Don't apologise for the brain fog symptoms. Many of us have these types of illness and it's oddly reassuring to hear someone else carrying on and coping with them. I am full of admiration for you. Great videos, and you have huge courage. Hope your Christmas is lovely. X
I am so pleased to have found your channel! You have inspired me greatly by sharing the realities of FM and chronic fatigue. When you spoke about your successes spread I literally had tears. I needed to hear that today, I'm still learning how to live my best life with fibromyalgia and more. Thank you. You're my new favourite person.
Omg, lol, this made my day:) I’ve got FM aswell and know too good what it’s like when you completely forget what you are talking about and just can’t find it in your head what the heck you were saying:P When you laughed and said I have to re record this I was so so happy you didn’t cos you showed us that we are human and that sh*t happens and that it is okay when things don’t go the perfect way every single time. I LOVE LOVE LOVED this video, and I was laughing WITH you on all the things that were going on and when the cat came in and you said «hello» to him/her, my heart just smelted/melted. I have a cat too and she loves to sit on whatever I am doing feks my BuJo if I am working on a weekly spread she just sits down and starts licking herself. And of course our children are not robots, so they come in and want to be near us. And you recorded this on christmas eve (julaften in Norvegian) so of course your son wants his mom to be there
Really appreciate the ‘real’ recording. Thank you for the honest view into your life and I hope you had a great holiday with your family. Feel better soon!!
ooh, I like the idea of the dream tracker. I tend to have bad dreams pretty often and I like the idea of releasing them so I can get on with my day. Loved the little glitches!!
Please do a video for how to write your letters. I have tried to do calligraphy but my handwriting is horrific. Right now I stick to cursive because it looks half decent. I really liked to part where you completely stopped. I don’t have FM but I do that all the time. In the Marines, we call it a brain fart 😅
I have decided to start a bullet journal this year as a fresh start and I also have the same health issues as you so am going to start with your set up and then see what works for me rather then watch a ton of these videos and confuse myself. Thanks for your video and honesty xx
I just discovered your channel -- thanks for sharing your bullet journal tips, but ESPECIALLY thanks for sharing your journey and foibles, the occasional "rough patch," as you said at one point. Like many of the other commenters, I'm so glad you didn't re-record over your "brain fog" section! It was very charming and relatable, and as a fellow spoonie (I have R.A.), I found it really refreshing to see a dose of reality. So many BuJo vloggers and bloggers present a polished and perfect facade, which makes it harder for me, and I suspect many other "real" folks, to aspire to. Thank you for your BuJo skills and for your honesty! Happy New Year!
Both you and your journal are lovely! I absolutely adore your videos, it's really good to see someone that has both a real life (where things get busy and hard) and a chronic illness doing bullet journal videos - sometimes it's very hard to relate to them you know. And as many people pointed out, I love that you didn't edit out these real life and brain fog moments. It both makes me feel closer to you and valid? I can't even explain how grateful I am for your work. You're really an inspiration, but not in that inspirational porn thing, as in, you really TEACH me how to cope with my own disorders and symptoms and see life in a better light, it's amazing. These are all both useful and motivational - and cute. I hope that you had an amazing Christmas and that 2019 brings you and your family lots of good things and way less flares ❤️
I keep a daily Moleskin calendar in my handbag which is very helpful in keeping me organized. However, I love the idea of having something like this, which seems like a hybrid diary, calendar, journal with art. I am not sure I can be this dedicated right away, but your videos make me think I might try. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the productivity tracker and for the reference to The Boosted Journal. Saved this video for reference. Great video. Hope you enjoyed your holiday.
This was fun! My January spread is almost done, but there were things I just couldn't decide on how to track in a useful way. Your video helped with quite a lot of it. Your voice is beautiful, your style is very clean and easy to understand, and your willingness to just keep going was inspirational. Hope your Christmas is a joy and you end the year on a high note. :)
I absolutely LOVED the giggly brain freeze part of this video....it was so real! Well done for keeping it in the video. It’s Christmas morning here in Australia - 6:15am...and you’ve given me a giggle to start the day. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
i've watched a few videos on how to set up, this will be my first ever, and i really like yours. I'm gonna follow what you did, and hopefully i won't screw up too much. Thank you for keeping it simple and making a place for everything. ♥
I always look forward to your vids, whatever the subject or content. It’s a special treat when it’s about something you’ve never covered before. I’m especially looking forward to any vlogs you decide to publish. There’s no need to apologize for any hiccups in your narration since you seem to be incapable of sounding anything less than charming. Sorry if I’m gushing but you truly are delightful. Thank you for taking the time to do this on Christmas Eve; it’s truly appreciated.i wish you and yours a lovely holiday and safe and happy new year.
Thank you for keeping your video real: you have won a new subscriber by doing that. I also have chronic health issues and the same brain blips. They sometimes frustrate people: so nice to have someone else who would understand when I phase out. Your layouts are the most relevant I have seen for someone in my situation. Thanks so much and all the best of luck and good wishes to you for 2019.
idk how i havent watched your bullet journal setups before because i feel like ive seen almost all of them...but dang im glad i found this video. love it. its more in line with how i like things set up. definitely subscribing
This is the first video that ive watched of yours and i love how real you are and your spreads are beautifully efficient. The interruptions and brain fog was actually refreshing to watch
i really appreciate your tips on being kind to yourself through your bullet journal spreads. It is quite inspirational and gives me ideas on how I can improve my positive self talk. Depression can distort your perspective and that happens to me often. While I don't think I can start some of your spreads quite just yet (I have a tendency to start too much and give up), possibly in the future I do think these spreads will be useful to me if I choose to implement them in my bullet journal.
I LOVED this video! So helpful and informative. I have only been journaling six months now and still trying to feel my way as to what I want to include, etc. Absolutely love your lettering style and plan to impement a tracker for. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all - you are adorable.
Loved the kept in recordings! Very fun. Also, I have super vivid dreams too. Always thought it was normal until I heard people discuss how to lucid dream and was like, "Doesn't everyone dream that way already?" Anyway, I totally get the memory thing because my dreams are pretty much the clarity of a memory, so I have memories that I'm not sure if they were a dream or not. Even creepier is when I have a conversation in a dream and it happens in real life later!
Thank you, for not edditing it . It really helped me to know that someone whith fribromyalgia and CF can do all that, and have a familly and everything. I had a very bad day yesterday, pain wise, and this morning wasn't that great, you give me hope. Thank you ! Plus your spreads are an inspiration!
You have such a nice voice and I love your laugh. Leaving the brain fog moments in made me laugh a lot because I'm exactly the same! I also have very vivid dreams that make me think things have happened or conversations took place and then I'll mention it to someone and they'll tell me it never happened! X
Love your new set up😍 And it would be great to do a video on calligraphy. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!🌲🎁🥳🎉 I love how you kept the bloopers and remember that family comes first so you should rest and spend time with them
I loved this video. I also enjoyed your fibro fog moment. Hehe meaning it was nice to see someone else experience it. No one else knows how it feels unless you have experienced it yourself. Merry Christmas!
This was the best voice over! You made me laugh a lot and I can completely relate, since I have fibromyalgia too - the brain fog and the sleep soreness are the worst! I loved your spreads and you gave me a lot of ideas for my new bujo.
Thank you so much! I personally don't think you need to worry about the narration being dodgey. If anything you sound human :) like I would want to be your friend. I just watched a small bunch of your videos, starting with the collections for 2019. OMG so helpful and lovely. You immediately became my new favourite source of info and inspiration for getting started with my bujo. You're so generous with the level of personal info you share on how you actually USE the method. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
As someone with Fibro too (husband calls it 'FML', hahaha), I've been trying to figure out a method for tracking pain levels and how they correlate to certain triggers in an organized fashion, and that everything tracker is freaking brilliant and I'm using it. Thank you for sharing!
I am just learning about this whole Bullet Journaling thing and binging on videos, but I could, as one with fibro identify with your blanking...and am so glad you didn't record over this. Sounds like using this system will help me keep track--so far yours has been the most encouraging of the videos I have watched!
Thank you so much for your real life video. Fibro for is a struggle and I feel you. Gentle hugs and keep up. Love the every thing spread. I'm always looking for ways to track my symptoms.
Loved your narration, even the dodgy parts. Especially the dodgy parts. Enjoy the time with family and friends. Wishing you acceptance, patience, and fortitude for the new year. Start a tradition with your child; new pajamas, hot cocoa and a book. Don't break the bank, just make a lasting memory.
I love your realness!! I have MS, I can relate to “Brain Fog”... My daughter who is 25, Is being tested for Fibromyalgia...she definitely has some trigger points.. Love the Successes & Improvements! Going to add it to my Jan. Planner/bujo Keep being yourself!! Merry Christmas!!
LOVED your video and the way you presented your journal. I have hypothyroidism and get the same brain fog...love how you kept on going! You have a new subscriber in me!
LOL Love the naturalness - brain fog, kids and animals; don't work with any of them!! This is why I edit when everyone else is out or asleep LOL. Hope you have a fabulous Christmas and that it's not too hectic and stressful
I've just found your channel and I'm in love!! ^_^ I find your genuine personality totally refreshing!! So many people try to throw off a holier than thou type of vibe but I love the way you've approached this video! I also suffer from chronic illness and chronic pain (including all the sleep issues that come with it!) and can totally relate to you! I've got CRPS Lupus and POTS (with speculation of other conditions but I dont need any more I've already got a box set lol!) Quick Tip from a singer! When your throat is starting to hurt have some ginger with honey or some banana and it will help to lubricate your voice cords - I hope that helps! Oregano oil or even dry oregano is great for helping prevent slipping into sickness as well if you have a bit of a squizz on the search engines ! I'm super into my essential oils too they keep my life almost in routine! ^_^ Im so excited to watch the rest of your videos and see what you come up with in the future! You've done such a great job and from one spoonie to another I just wanna say you should be super proud of yourself!! Blessings and expansive love from Australia! xooxx
Merry Christmas. It’s Christmas morning here in Australia, and I’ve just had a laugh watching the video. I loved it, it’s made my morning. And yes. Please do a video on your writing styles and how you do them. 😃
LOL, you can’t blame your brain fog (or brain fart as we call it here in US) on fibromyalgia. I get BF’s all the time and I don’t have it. I have been going through radiation and chemotherapy this last year, so I’ve been calling them ChemoCramps. We all get them in some form or another. I just started reading about bullet journaling recently and came across yours today. I love an English or Australian accent, and you explain everything so wonderfully. Thank you. ❤️🇺🇸
I hope you and your family had a fun Christmas Day🎄🎁! Thank you for sharing and taking the time to film on Christmas Eve😊. I hope that you and your family have a great New Year’s Eve and Day 🤗💗!
Haha I'm so happy you didn't re-record :D This was really funny and real and nice to watch and listen to! Thanks for the inspiration for my own bujo and happy New Years in advance :)
New sub and I really love your journalling. Your setup is amazing and they give me so many ideas. I, myself have fibro/sleep disorders, etc... you name it :x So finding someone with similar issues that is so open about it in their videos is AMAZING. Thank you for being you and not editing it out - I totally have the same fibro fog. I look forward to seeing your future videos! Merry Christmas!
I love your monthly layout! Mine is one big calendar but I find I don't actually use it that much I may steal your idea as I feel like I'd use it more! I love your faux calligraphy
I loved your video. Thank you for keeping the bloopers in. I have severe fibromyalgia, ME, depression and anxiety. So brain fog is an everyday occurrence lol. I have all the stuff to get bullet journaling but can't get started which really annoys me. I have a 9 month old baby but the worse problem I have is I feel like I have a brick wall stopping me from doing anything. Vicious cycle. Any tips would be appreciated. Also would love to see a calligraphy tutorial. Sending lots of love to all of your family and hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New year xx ps as you can see a bad night of not being able to sleep at 1.45am in the UK xx
Hi Gemma - I can so relate to your comment! One thing that helps me often is to follow the feeling /impulse that's the strongest. For example, if filling in all these spreads overwhelms me, and it does, but the thought of drawing little pictures on the pages is appealing, then I start with the pictures. Just start with the thing that seems the most fun for you. I know that sounds cliche but it's amazing how it works! And then of course once you've started, your effort will give you more energy for what else you need. It's the starting, isn't it? "Follow your happy" no matter how small or strange it may seem at first (on the days there's no Happy, I try to follow what feels the best). Maybe you really want to bullet journal a completely different way? Or not at all! 😉
thank you. It's like I said about having the feeling of a barrier. I have things I have to do but don't. I either put things off as long as possible or ignore them completely! I really want to bullet journal as I think it will help me. But agree I just need to start small. I really love Miss McKenna's videos and also amandarachlee as they are both great a tutorial x
Hi :) I also suffer from quite a few things and struggle regularly. I started bullet journaling a year and a half ago. At some point, I was overwhelmed by all the different spreads. It was too much for me, particularly on low days. Now I only have what is necessary for me. My tip would be to start simply by copying spreads you found on the Internet and really like. Then you can figure out what is the best for you, what you wanna change for the next week or month. It's the magic of the bujo system. You can change it as much as you want. ;) Sending you much love. You can do it! :)
@@Shizuma974 thank you for your reply. I really appreciate your help and support. More than you know. I did some planning work today just doing things like working out grid spacing as I've seen that people say this helps a lot. Which being new and not having a clue which bullet journal I want to invest in if I can carry it on and what suits me I thought it will take some of the working out layouts less work and less stressful. So fingers crossed the progress will turn into a first monthly layout. Thank you again. Sending lots of love to you x
After seeing your journal in it's complete perfection, I am happy you left your verbal "brain fog" in the video - it made you more human! I'm going to subscribe to you now because you're obviously a real human being!
Not only are you uber talented, you are STUPID ADORABLE, too!!! You have a new admirer (subscriber) and I look so much forward to watch more of you! You're so fantastic!
New to your page. I love how real you are, I do not deal with fibro, my sister does. I have and have had other things I. My life that are energy suckers. I like how you set up your goals for the day and then add on what else you have done.. these things do make a difference.. kudos to you, see you again soon.
I look forward to your videos! Your fibro fog is very familiar to me. =) I love the new look of your Everything Tracker. I will definitely be using that. I would love a video on how you do your calligraphy! Merry Christmas!!
Thanks for not re-recording that brain fog moment. While I don't have fibro, I have a neuropathic pain condition, and the brain fog, well yeah, it's alive and well with this one, too. JM Weiner well said!
One of my favourite quotes!!!! xoxoxoox
thank you JM Weiner, I love that quote, might have to incorporate it into my bullet journal somewhere!
I’ve always loved this quote. It is so profound, I would never have guessed the author was Dr Seuss. I’ve actually used it in my ART journaling.
That narration was awesome. Made me chuckle. I narrate my videos for CZcams so I know how it can be. Merry Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful day

I'm so glad you didn't re-record! You just have a "human brain" as we all have these moments. You have just endeared yourself to me!
I love the fact that you mess up and then just keep on talking!! It makes it so personal!
You are one of my top 3 bullet journalists. You’re so humble through it all. And I must say I enjoyed that you said it didn’t matter that your son interrupted your vid because SO many moms ignore their much younger children or grandchildren and it irks me
I love the difference in color, it makes it that much more unique.

I think the realness of your life is what makes all your videos so much to watch and listen to! ❤️ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Oh you're the sweetest! Thank you for not re-recording, no need to censor the realness :)
This was delightful. Thank you for sharing. I’m glad you didn’t re-record and I hope you had a great time with your family ❤️
idk how i havent watched your bullet journal setups before because i feel like ive seen almost all of them...but dang im glad i found this video. love it. its more in line with how i like things set up. definitely subscribing
This is the first video that ive watched of yours and i love how real you are and your spreads are beautifully efficient. The interruptions and brain fog was actually refreshing to watch
My favorite narrative ever! I was laughing, you seem like a very genuine person and your journal inspired me!
Very helpful! I love how sweet, genuine and practical you are! Wonderful inspiration. I can truly relate to your experiences.
i really appreciate your tips on being kind to yourself through your bullet journal spreads.
Yes!! Would love to see how you progressed your handwriting!!❤️
I love the honesty of this video. Thank you for not rerecording! 🤣 🤷♀️
Loved this spread! And love the fact that you didn't rerecord this narration. Just shows we're all (as cheesy as it sounds) perfectly imperfect 💕
I love all the inspiration you’ve provided and greatly enjoyed the unedited parts! 😃
I would love to see a tutorial on your writing. It is absolutely stunning
I thought I was the only person getting confused between dreams and real life, haha. Especially stuff from years ago.
I will probably never try this cuz my ability is so poor but by watching it, it makes me feel satisfied enough
I just love how honest your narration is !!! Merry Christmas 🎄🎄
lmao these planner creators are really putting those store bought ones to shame. This one is really amazing
Thank you for your lovely comment, here's my Calligraphy tutorial czcams.com/video/2_2hnM2yssM/video.html
I like that your videos are not scripted and perfect, happy holidays, thanks for sharing
Miss McKenna, Merry Christmas⛄️🌲🎅🏿. Thank you for sharing. Love everything you do. 😊
I know this is quite an old video - but I have to say: You are so lovely!
This is one of the better and most useful layout I have seen. Thanks for sharing
As someone with Fibro too (husband calls it 'FML', hahaha), I've been trying to figure out a method for tracking pain levels and how they correlate to certain triggers in an organized fashion, and that everything tracker is freaking brilliant and I'm using it. Thank you for sharing!
Just found your channel. Feel better real soon! Your narration was fresh, honest and inspiring. Thank you.
Beautiful spreads and I think this was my favorite narration yet!
I really love your layouts! Don't worry about the voice-over - it's just life. :)
I am just learning about this whole Bullet Journaling thing and binging on videos, but I could, as one with fibro identify with your blanking...and am so glad you didn't record over this. Sounds like using this system will help me keep track--so far yours has been the most encouraging of the videos I have watched!
I cannot get over how NEAT and GORGEOUS your spreads are omggg i look at my bullet journal and feel so bad hahaha
My daughter who is 25,
Is being tested for Fibromyalgia...she definitely has some trigger points..
Love the Successes & Improvements! Going to add it to my Jan. Planner/bujo
Keep being yourself!!
I've got CRPS Lupus and POTS (with speculation of other conditions but I dont need any more I've already got a box set lol!)
Quick Tip from a singer!
Im so excited to watch the rest of your videos and see what you come up with in the future!
Thank you. ❤️🇺🇸
I love that you didn't re-record your fog moments. I have them too and I feel that "I'm crazy" moments. Thanks for keeping it real! #fibrowarrior
I actually really enjoyed your narration of this video. It felt real and genuine. Just subscribed.
love your productivity tracker, great idea!
I love that you didn’t re-record! It was wonderful 😆😜♥️Great spreads!
Loved it, and DEFINITELY want the calligraphy/font video!
This was sooo a nice and funny voice over!
I love it!
Thank you so much for it.
Hugs,
Nana
Hi :)
I also suffer from quite a few things and struggle regularly.
You can change it as much as you want. ;)
Sending you much love.
@@Shizuma974 I think, well hope I have just subscribed to your channel. Please keep in touch x
Thank you for the smiles. Happy new year! Youre amazing
i love your handwriting and your voice overs:) it’s nice to listen to you while I do my own journal. Thanks!
After seeing your journal in it's complete perfection, I am happy you left your verbal "brain fog" in the video - it made you more human! I'm going to subscribe to you now because you're obviously a real human being!
That was a delightful video and the layout is fabulous. Happy Christmas 🎄
I really enjoyed the narration. I love your videos. I want to wish you and your family a belated Merry Christmas and a very Happy 2019.
I look forward to your videos! Your fibro fog is very familiar to me. =)
I love the new look of your Everything Tracker. I will definitely be using that.
I would love a video on how you do your calligraphy! Merry Christmas!!
loved your setup AND your "dodgy narration!" Made me giggle throughout! Merry Christmas and stay well!
