Classic find your way home story. Very good film.
The Leonardo di Caprio Aviator was a completely different movie and was not a remake of this. This was an original story from an Ernest K Gann novel The di Caprio story was a biopic of Howard Hughes, this film has nothing to do with Hughes.
I saw this when it first came out in 87. A bit slow but a pretty good movie.

@@baggergurl16 Not all movies. The movie Halloween didn't do that. And it is now regarded as a modern movie classic. A lot of people feel it is better than Jaws. One critic compared it to The Wizard of Oz.

That is not an eleven-going-on-twelve year old, and that guy barely has a scratch on his face. The wolf attack is also completely unnecessary. This is one disappointing adaptation, and I'm just judging from the trailer...
