  • RCA 1955 Radio Repair and Restoration, I Installed a fuse and a 20-ohm 25-watt chassis mount resistor to protect power transformer.

    Another great looking and sounding radio Ken. Sure looked like a rats' nest under the chassis lol. I've never seen a cover for the tuning gang before, I think that's a great idea in helping to stop crap getting in between the fins. Well done again Ken, great video

      Thanks Frank, yeah, it’s pretty tight under the chassis, I had to install the chassis mount resistor in front because there wasn’t any room for it.

    Knobs for this set are hard to find. They are falling apart with age.

      The knobs on mine were perfect; they do have long shafts on them. I had to use a long screwdriver inside the radio to assist in pulling then off. I always use white lithium grease on the shafts to ease installing them back and taking them out in the future.
