If you have ever lived near or next to a Civil War battlefield then you know about these things. One house I lived in we had a soldier walk through the kitchen 3 or 4 times a week.

My first house has old lady spirit. My ex wife and I seen her in multiple occasions as a purplish glowing apparition. What’s even more wild is my stepson said she would tuck him in at night.

WIld ha, when I moved out of my first home as a kid the next owners said their kids claimed to see and play with a friendly old lady spirit. They described her to my parents and it seemed to match my great grandmother who lived there most her life.

In the Bible it says to stay away from ouija boards, psychics(palm readers), astrology, and magic. God is who protects you from the spirit world. Even the card game magic the gathering is evil. It has real demons with their names on cards. You are not supposed to speak their names out loud.
In 1980 my family moved to Mass for a year. I was 15 at the time. One night I woke up to see someone standing next to my bed. They appeared to be staring out the window and not moving. I was terrified and couldnt move at first for fear. I silently stared at them for at east a full minute pretending to still be asleep trying to figure out who it could be. I began to notice there was a strange slightly dark goldish glow about them slightly because of the moonlight coming through the window. I could see the person had short very curly hair and apeared to be wearing clothes from another century... like the 1700s or something. After a while I started to recognize that I wasn't looking at a real person and I finally summoned the courage to reach out. I lost sight of my hand for a moment and then watched as the person slowly dematerialize before my eyes. It traumatized me and I still remember it like it was yesterday. My mom still asks me to recount it from time to time still remembering the next morning when I told her what happened.
I remember seeing what I thought was my alive grandmother looking over me one night while I was sleeping. I woke up and sort of sat up but she didn’t say anything so I went back to sleep. Weeks later I hear my mom talking the a friend and telling her friend that the neighbor one day asked my grandmother who that lady was who kept following her around everywhere. He described her to the smallest detail and my grandma told him he was describing her mom (my great grandmother). At that moment, I knew I had seen a ghost. Scared the shit out of me for a long time.
It's timeslip. sometimes we tap into the past. FYI, you were not really awake. Usually your spirit is awake but your body is sleeping. it's usually when we see these things. I too have seen beings in my room as a kid. one even touched my belly. freaked me out but other family members had similar or worse experiences.

I think ghosts might be people who were killed by surprise or so quickly they don't even know they're dead. It's kind of like a visual echo of what is left of them. It's like an eggshell of what their soul was contained in wandering around aimlessly.

The Bible tells us that we ARE indeed surrounded by a spiritual realm, but that we should ABSOLUTELY stay away from opening the door to that realm. Why?
Because the fallen angels that were kicked out of Heaven inhabit that realm. And they will do anything to steer us away from the truth of God, the reality of sin, and the need for forgiveness: basically, to reject the gospel of salvation thru Christ. They are powerful, deceitful and are very skilled at mixing truth with lies to make their narrative easy to believe.

I saw one. My family has an 1800s farmhouse in the country. My parents heard things there many times when I was kid, like muffled talking and distant music in the middle of the night. One night, I was in bed and heard whisper talking that I couldn't understand. I got goosebumps and rolled over in the darkness and saw a wispy, smoke-like figure with a beard hunched over with a cane that then slid by and disappeared. Guests have also had weird dreams there of people standing around their beds. Years later, a woman showed up one day and said she used to live there. She said her grandfather had polio and had passed in the room where I saw the old man-like figure. TRUE STORY!

I went from being agnostic to believing along with my entire family. No Hollywood or haptic effects could replicate the experiences.
The previous owner and his family next door/ our neighbors had the same experiences... nothing bad just extraordinary experiences, and let me tell you whatever the descriptor that millions of folks through the ages that you felt to hand wave away, disagree with a weak BS throw away comment.

The whispy smoke is what we saw mostly, silvery shimmery too in a way the smoke was a translucent to the figure inside.
You ever see the living paintings where somebody is painted as Mona Lisa and there is a frame on the wall. That’s how I ended up interperaring it, like the vape smoke was the veil and the fella was inside.
Grew up in a 150 year old (ish) home, and we (and the occupants before us) had more experiences than we have time to tell.
One day in specific, we were having a college football game day party - family is all Nebraska fans - and the kitchen was full of people, my mom was facing the sink, I was leaning against the stove facing the opposite direction of her, about 3 ft away. She was talking so everyone was mostly looking in her direction, and out of nowhere something started tugging on the tail of her shirt pretty damn vigorously.
She yelled at me to stop, I was in shock just watching her shirt being tugged on, then she turned to see it wasn’t me.
Looked like what happens when a little kid is trying to get your attention and tugs on your clothing, which would fit with the little girl in a white dress my mother would see on occasion in the early morning hours when she would get ready for work and the rest of the house was asleep.
Man, too many instances to tell, but those are a couple. Also, the vast majority of incidents seemed to take place in the fall - not sure why.
Edit: forgot to mention, never, not even once, were any of the “hauntings” malicious or scary. Hard to explain, but whatever it was, simply felt like it was part of the home. Almost added an odd charm to the home.

I've never seen a ghost. I HAVE had several people who I trust and who are not the type to lie tell me, looking in my eyes, about their experiences. My uncle and his father, both great honest men, saw my uncle's deceased mother very regularly. So did his step-mother. It was all gracious and loving in nature.
I had several airmen who worked for me in Okinawa report noises and marching soldiers on remote roads at night. Sober, trustworthy, intelligent men. Also one poor girl who wouldn't drive to that part of the base anymore.

You've never seen one coz anything "supernatural" doesn't exist! Why aren't we teaching people critical thinking and scepticism? If more people were clever enough to understand the value and nature of evidence we'd see less of this nonsense and that's not a bad thing!
My great grandmothers house had a drummer boy from the civil war buried in the ground under the dirt in the basement. She used to see and talk to him all the time. My aunt finally had him dug up and removed but his spirit is still there.
That levitation ritual he described is no good. He said 5 people essentially put points of a pentagram on a person, say they feel heat and the person they’re touching levitates.
As innocent as things like this may seem, they are occult and can lead to very bad things happening. As Christians we are instructed not to mess with stuff like this because we have no idea what’s happening in the supernatural world to cause the levitation.

I went to College in the mid 90s at Marion Military Institute in Marion Alabama. That place is definitely haunted. Sounds of marching down the barracks halls in the middle of the night and soldiers in formation in the middle of the night in the quad. It was a Civil War hospital , and was later turned into a military college. It was weird, because you’d hear the formation of the soldiers “on the wind” and it came in waves. If that makes sense.

@@joeedwards1682 Yeah, I never will forget it. I was 20 years old at the time, and we were all down in the basement of one of the barracks because Hurricane Opal was passing through. The wind was howling like it was going to take the building off of us, and we all heard it the loudest that evening. With the "Freight Train" going on outside we could hear the yelling and shouting of soldiers on the wind. It was freaky and even the school pastor was praying like he was witnessing spirits or something. A couple of the cadets were really freaked out by it. As in, it really screwed them up with PTSD.
I lived by a large graveyard and had many visitors "flowing through" my house. Most were friendly but some, not so much.
I'm surprised you guy don't have many experiences from your deployments, especially in war-torn areas. I would love to document those.
Remember talking to one when about 5/6 years old, it was the 70s and she was in 70s or maybe 60s clothes and a young adult. Couldn't have been passed for very long at that time, a little sad really with hindsight having gone so young but I didn't get a bad feeling from her, more of a how are you doing vibe. Just talked kid nonsense with her and she left.

Hauntings are real. Other than a haunted house I lived in I worked aboard a WWII tanker ship that had been converted into a cargo ship. I can share many experiences I had on it. It was most definitely haunted.
There's also soldiers in Iraq that did guard duty by a insurgent grave yard and they saw like demons coming out of the grave yards that would torment them. There's a documentary somewhere about it

My dad has a story like that. He was sitting in a tank with some soldiers. And there’s a camera that they had. I think there were more cameras but they could see a djinn walking around outside their tank circling them

Had an encounter with a demon or possessed teen. Got sent to a residence where this teen is holding his family hostage. The initial officers sent weren't answering their radios so of course we all go. My partner and I are checking the perimeter, I find the back door open and I'm the first in as we head up the stairs while my partner covers the basement. I get to about the third stair and I see the suspect standing with his back against the wall, his body bladed so I can see his right side and he's holding a large butcher knife. I'll never forget how he turned his head and looked at me. I'll never forget the face...otherworldly and pure evil.
So long story short, Taser didn't work (shocker there) and it took three bean bag rounds to drop him. He's cuffed and taken out. Well, I'm putting the gear we had away when I walked past an ambulance and can see some young male sitting on the cot. Figured it was one of the family members he had held hostage. NOPE...it was him! That was NOT who I saw just a few hours earlier when I'd made initial contact. This was some kid on the gurney who looked like any other. To this day, what I first encountered, that face specifically has been burned into my memory.
The PS to this, the two officers who were initially sent, had turned their radios off as the suspect could hear everything and was countering by moving around the house. They were perfectly fine.

Why is it always the so called Christians who profess phenomenologies that they are clueless of? Who TOLD you that ghost apparations are always entrenched in the occult? I am of West African(American) Christian dispensation, and I can tell you for fact that your knowledge of the occult is PG 13 at best compared to what we grew up in. I personally knew people who conducted soul projections on a nightly basis. Powerful witch doctors who could levitate are a common thing. Also there were other people who had rapport with Marine sirens- the Queen of Coast is a popular queen demon from the Atlantic Coast regions.
That been said, one needs not play with the occult to experience ghosts. There are so many advanced dimensions to the human existence, and most are not even written in the bible. And it would go over your head if I tried to explain.

I saw a ghost of a man in a relative's house back around 2020. I couldn't believe that I was actually seeing one, but I'm 100 percent sure of what I saw because although it was light gray in appearance I could see a shirt collar and tie knot on it and it was in the middle of the room i was in, so it wasn't an illusion on the wall or anything like that. About 26 years prior I saw a flying saucer aircraft that was about 30 feet in diameter hovering near ground level from no more than 100 yards away from where I was, and the funny thing is I have family members who saw a saucer doing the same thing in the same general area back in the 1970s. Now I just need to see some unproven animals like Bigfoot.
My grandmother's house was haunted. Objects would move in front of me all the time and I would also here footsteps running up and down the Stairs. Freaked me out as a kid.

Me and my ex lived in her grandmas old house. One night she yelled "i dont wanna fn live here anymore".....right after she said that a big ball of blue light shot across the ceiling of the whole bedroom and went into a windchime hanging over the bed and made it move back and forth. No clue how to explain it. It def wasnt ball lighting.

A farm in keedysville Maryland is hunted and it’s very active. I worked as a farm hand at the farm house. It’s owned by my parents friends. It was formerly owned by a surgeon who made the farm house a makeshift hospital for the bloodiest battle of the civil war, the battle of Antietam. I heard walking one night it’s a long freaky story. The second time I woke up freezing and I felt a presents that scared the shit out of me.
in the 70s i was flying C-130s at Pope AFB , near Fort Bragg. Many times a WW2 paratrooper was seen sitting by the aircraft jump/troop door, I never saw it, but several trusted crewmembers did.
Wow...thought I had tuned in to MrBallen for a second. Much respect for some one who can speak about their experiences in this area. Most vets or LEO's won't talk about the strange encounters they've had for fear of ridicule.
Ghost of the civil war are probably the most consistently witnessed spirits in the world.
When I went to basic training at fort benning. I had a similar experience while in our barracks. I woke up to the sound of tons of people talking. I witnessed a room full of men wearing old WW2 gear with duffles. It was dark and the only light was the fire guard light. I'm glad I am not the only one.

I had the same type of experience. I’m not trying to lie.. in New York City. I woke up one day all the furniture was gone and it was a bunch of army people sleeping and sleeping bags. I was so scared. Some of them were standing. I ran to the bathroom, put water on my face was pinching myself. I came out and they were still there, I ran my room and put the sheets in my head and last thingremembered

I really think you’re likely to encounter something in an area where it has a lot of that energy in one place, Victoria British Columbia me, and my siblings all witnessed things we can’t explain 10+ years later. And it’s even crazier that I had my own encounter seeing a spirit and my siblings had numerous sightings. Even my sister in the same room I seen that ghost she had another experience I’ve had to hear about all these years. I’m so grateful to hear his stories thanks!

Stationed at the naval weapons base housing willamsbug Va in 2005. Our housing assignment was a huge 4 bedroom near the church h right across from a well kept plantation on about 6 acres of land. We would hear at least once a month. Cannon fire and horns blowing coming from the field at the plantation like once a month. I know other families heard it but on military bases. It’s wise not to even bring it up.

I was about that age when something grabbed my ankle from under my bed I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom got to the foot of my bed and something grabbed my left ankle held on for a couple seconds and let go.. I started screaming and my mom ada and brother woke up.
This place i lived once was very haunted located across from a funeral home before we moved in a lady killed herself and carved into one of the doors "im still here" thought that oart was my cousin messing with me but whe had the door replaced so guess not lol but living there one time I woke up 3 nights in a row at 316 or 318 wake up go to the bathroom before i get to the bathroom all i hear is fast muttered whispering scared the shit out me so i ran back to the living room where i was sleeping ,next night wake up same time not thinking anything of it go to bathroom this time it's a liltte faster muttered whispering i was like no my cousin or someones messing with me so i flip the light on sounds gone no ones there small bathroom no pipe noises nothing like that so i dipped back to the living room next night same time same thing happened. and i seen death like the hood and ice pick that one turned me pale white and every hair every hair on my body was standing up once when working late on an old house
I work midnights at a mental facility, I’ll never forget myself and another security guard seen a black shadow figure come from outside into the building phased through the doors and then phase through a wall. I’ll never doubted anyone’s ghost stories after that.
My ex gf & I broke our lease on a wooded lake house that was haunted. She couldn't take it any more & the noise was waking us up at night. Full blown conversations or the sound of big band swing music in the adjoining room, shadows running around at high speed, flashes of light, etc...
This shit is real, just very rare & usually very subtle/minimal so most ppl do not notice it & if they do they subconsciously reason it away.

I worked night shift in a crummy nursing home in ST.Augustine FL in the 90's that used to be a motel in the 60's.
It's actually some sort of mental facility now, or something..
Never saw a ghost, but experienced lots of really weird stuff.
Shower suddenly turned on full blast once in an older locked shower room that was used as a janitor's room. We had to open the door with a butter knife from the kitchen, and turn the tap off.
Another time, a guy who was a total dirtbag passed away... he had lots of nicely framed pictures on his wall, which was cinder block- start falling off the walls and crashing on the floor one at a time for a few nights before his family came to collect his belongings. Just bizarre stuff like that over the years.

I was around 6 or 7 and my brother, a year older. We were both standing outside the night before Halloween. It was a full moon. A damn witch riding on a broom flew right in front of us and then we saw the silhouette in the moonlight. She was laughing. Scared the living crap out of us. We ran into the house and called for our parents. We still talk about it 30 years later.
You there's all these stories and legends of witches on brooms, werewolves, Bigfoot, giants, slender man, aliens and more that have thousands of stories passed on from time past and now with technology we are getting many pics of Bigfoots, aliens, ufos, giants and so on..... that it's pretty hard to write it down as myths and pretend it never happened. There are alot of unexplained things out there

I called my brother without telling him why I was calling and asked him "what happened when we were kids the night before Halloween?" He started telling the same story, not knowing she was listening. That’s crazy man. Imagine if we eventually create technology to scan and replay memories outside of the brain. We would be able to see first hand accounts of strange things people have witnessed.

I did a color guard at a cemetery in NY in high school. The event was to honor soldiers of the Civil War and their families. When we presented colors, in the silence of the moment, I felt a knock under my feet like someone knocking on wood three times. I was standing on grass btw. I've had other encounters as well which weren't as positive as that one at haunted hotels and a home I rented where all my appliances would break and a girl I was dating said she saw a woman standing over the bed watching us.
I feel like I’ve experienced paranormal things in every house I’ve lived in. Especially the navy barracks when I was in the military. Those were rough.
I was stationed at Ft Hood I am a police officer in the same area now. Have seen people in different uniforms training and fade away, hear things, see things, also with other officers were clearing an empty house herd my call sign from the celing, heer womens voice saying hello in buildings, countless calls for stuff like that. Can't wait to move!!
I used to live on Baker Street on Fort Meade, the housing there was also haunted, shadow people, lights turning on/off. Doors opening on their own.
I think the part about the line of the soldiers that weirded me out the most was not that he saw them but that the last one stopped, turned and proceeded to walk toward him in bed. Leads me to think it was not just residual unless whatever that last one was doing was part of the "replay" if you will. Still creepy.

If they exist why do only certain people have experiences? I have never once heard, seen or felt anything that could be called paranormal. Been to Gettysburg, nothing. Been to supposed haunted locations out of curiosity, nothing.

My ex husband brought back a piece of the Great Wall of China. I rested it by a window near the dinning room. Soon after a tall transparent man with a military walk would walk by the dining room entrance. I was startled the first time but it happened so often I decided to nod at him and he did it right back. One evening my toddler was at the table with me and saw him as well. The way she screamed with terror hurt my heart so I took the rock to the ocean and left it there.
My father is half Ghanaian , he took us there when I was 17 for a funeral . We went to the village he grew up in which is 5 hours away from the capital city so very rural . One night Upon trying to sleep I heard the door open and close , I turned to see a whole room full of people , 20-25 id say . All eyes wide open staring at me not saying a word . I stared at them in for about a minute as I was stuck in fear , I began to realise the bodies were slightly see through and realised they must be ghosts . I ran to the door to exit and it was locked . My cousins had to find the key to unlock the bedroom door . This happen 8 years ago now and still gives me bumps thinking about it , I tell myself it was a dream so I can go through life not thinking about it 😂

My younger sisters and our cousins (girls their age) had an encounter with our great grand mother late one night. They were all laying in bed (queen size bed, 4 girls) the door is open and you can see down the hallway. They all noticed a figure, whom they thought was our grandmother but this figure had long hair. She begin to come towards them and the closer she came the more frightened they got to the point where they covered themselves with the blanket but one of my sisters peaked out to catch a glimpse of the bottom of her skirt going by. My sisters told me thats the scariest experience they've ever had. I've been in my grandma's house alone many times and never had an experience.
Wow thanks for sharing. I'm a firm believer that if you have an experience as a child you will continue too throughout your life. Not always, things will be there it's like your perception is different. I know that is my case anyway.
We lived in a rental and heard footsteps and thermostat would be messed with. Heard voices. Crazy it was a relatively new house but kept an old cemetery in neighborhood couple houses down
this is why we need JESUS demons and familiar spirits are real they live off of fear anger and lust.

I live right next to a haunted cemetery and I go there regularly to take photos and bike ride. A couple times a heard a big dog barking but there were no dogs when we went and that scared me. Another time I made a big mistake I said to the ghosts in the cemetery ‘’if your hear with me throw something right now over there now’’ next thing you know my brother heard a thump from way over on the other side of the cemetery. My 2 friends who had their car said to me ‘’you should’ve not done that ‘’ I said why then they said you could get possessed by a ghost and they had to leave that moment I turned around and I saw the ghost coming out of the graves and me and my brother sprinted out of there in the night
Similar to mine ! I was about 8 or 9 and i woke up seeing 7 ghosts that look like monks, they had on their cloaks with their hands in their pockets, just staring at me while i was laying down

The house that me and my roommates lived in was definitely haunted. Random knocking on the doors and nobody would be on the other side. One time I was taking a piss and I heard footsteps run right behind me, I turned around cause I thought it was one of my roommates messing with me but there was no one there. Every time I walked in the kitchen I knew I was being watched. It was so weird
The fact that it took him a moment to come up with the word bayonet just goes to show you how infrequently they are used in the modern military. I expect if it comes down to it most modern soldiers would feel much more comfortable using a combat knife than a bayonet and I can certainly understand why. This guy's stories are fascinating.

I live in an old Methodist church I turned into a house when I started building rooms in it I would stay late working usually right around midnight I would here footsteps in the attic unmistakably human footfall , they would come up and down the staircase that leads to the attic as well , if I prayed in the name of Jesus they would stop . I know the Bible speaks how when you die it compares it to being asleep but also speaks of the dead, and how we are forbid to speak with the dead and the dead is forbidden to speak to the living dead are demons and they want us to chase them or ghosts the only ghost we should fear and chase is the Holy Ghost ✝️

I travelled to Germany a few years back and went and explored an abandoned WW1 hospital where hitler was a patient and it became a mental asylum during ww2. It’s about 1.5 hours east of Berlin. I climbed all through the ceilings and underneath it for a few hours. Later that night a big 7 foot ginger German soldier haunted the hell out of me. I still remember his uniform and badges he wore.

I’ve had experiences and I learned to not be afraid cause they don’t have power over the living. They scare you but that’s the most they can do without you feeding them fear. All the spirits you see are scared and angry that they’re dead.

I am going to begin with Isiah 41:10 is my favorite verse. I lived in a beautiful building that had been a large civil war hospital. People saw and heard things and didn't want to be there at night. In 2 year's, I never saw anything. It's part of the Knoxville ghost tour and currently a private law school.
Ppl who experience ocult stuff or hauntings in their lives, you can usually bet that the family has done some weird stuff in the past. Example I had experiences like this throughout my life and come to find out my grandma was a Satanist back in the day and used to bring my dad with her to their meetings.
I had a 3/4 yr old nephew at the time look up in a room when he was with me and then turn to bury his head under my arm and say he was scared. I told him to call Gods name several times. He did, and said my name and that he felt better and then fell asleep to take a nap. More recent, my roommate was at work and I was alone in the living room with a couple of her animals and her pitbull was looking around the room and moved next to me as to protect me from something. Something to witness.
I can hear a tv sounds like infomercials when its really quiet in my bathroom at night you have to almost not be paying full attention to hear it
Every time I go to a “haunted” place I say come with me and show yourself. Nothing ever happens 😂. But I did have some weird experiences as a teenager similar to Nick. Feels like it goes away as you age or I just had an active imagination as a teenager.
My Sister and cousins with friends messed around with Ouija board. Caused a baby's bed to rattle after curtains fell upon requesting the board to do it. Also my grandma told of how some witch neighbors moved next door and suddenly orbs appeared at night. Even playing with laser pointers when they were a fad in the late 90s my mom once said "HEY! that's how the orbs of light moved around as kids at home!".
Also have stories from the graveyard janitor at the restaurant I worked at, flying glasses and pounding on the walls, floating napkins.
