Hi. Thanks for the video. What if the old plunger is corroded and broke off... thus unable to take off the screen. Do you have a suggestion on how to remove the screen from the window?
I had several plungers broken off. Some of them I was able to use pliers to pull plunger to release if from window. The ones I couldn't get at simply broke when removing the screen. Mine were plastic plungers so if one end was broke the other end was brittle as well.
I bought the plunger kit but now I'm looking for the piece that these plunger tabs fit into, the little round piece that is in the brick molding. They don't come with the plunger kit and I can't find them anywhere, would you happen to know where they can be found? Thank you
I had a hard time finding these plungers. Try amazon or try a window place. Went to a window manufacture they didn't have my plungers but the had plastic holders. They told me try a place where they replace broken windows. They might carry what you are looking for.
@@JimMcLaren1950 The plungers were easy, 25 pk on ebay for $10.80 but no luck on the piece they slide into. Two hardware stores that do window repair but had nothing like I ended. These windows are 20 yrs old, I guess things have changed but I did end up finding some caps that are the right diameter with a lip but it's hollow, good enough for who it's for. Thank you Jim, appreciate it bud.
This is very helpful! Thank you Jim!!!
Your welcome Rebecca.
Good video, thanks for making it
Welcome Tony.
