The Hellcat Pro was a no brainer for me it's priced right and came with six 15 round mags for $579, and it shoots and feels great!
Where did you find it with the 6 mags?

Ive watched about every review about the hellcat pro but this was the one i was waiting for before i pulled the trigger, the only review that mattered. Thanks Hickok
365xl still got this beat. Don’t care about the 3 extra rounds, everything about the feel of the sig and size is better. It’s literally the perfect combo of carry ability and functionality.
@@usernamesrlamo if you have smaller hands I guess
@@tvulcan6087 my wife likes them.
@@tvulcan6087 They have a 15 round mag for the 365 and it gives you that little extra grip.
@@usernamesrlamo in a life and death situation you aren’t gonna care about how comfortable the gun is in your hands.. all you will care about is having as many rounds as possible in a reliable weapon.
“I don’t like the U sight”… proceeds to nail like 12 targets in a row
Nah thats just his aim!😬💪🏿
And could it be he simply has a lot more rounds thru the 365XL? Just something to get accustomed to
A lot people seem to like the 365 … but the hell cat is one hell of a beast as a competitor
I like the U sight, if I didn't have a red dot on my Hellcats, I'd appreciate the quicker sight picture alignment that it provides. Watching some other reviewer, he said he wished the Hellcat had blacked out rear sights, and I thought that was the dumbest suggestion for a micro-compact CCW gun I've ever heard. (but that reviewer has a pronounced anti Springfield bias). I had 2 P365s...Springfield beat them hands down...I sold the 365s.
@@Paul_Colton_ if it's the same reviewer that I think you're referring to..and I believe it is...he has also added that blacked out rears are simply his preference.
I have both Hellcat's. I love the Hellcat Pro. Great grip and sights. I like the trigger being a little longer for a self defense shooter. I've been carrying a GLOCK for well over 25 years but now I carry the Hellcat Pro.
glock will be of the past . loyalty or innovation
Pro vs RDP which shoots easier
I was hoping he’d compare it to the 43x and the 48 because I’m not deciding between a hellcat pro and a 19
@@ColonelCarnage I have a glock43. Not the x. Wish I had an x lol. But compared to my 43, my hellcat pro is an absolute beast. It does take a little bit to get used to the u sight. However, after getting used to it, it seems easier to place back into the u, vs the stock glock square
These new guns are just hitting the sweet spot! Slightly larger than micro carry style guns, but with amazing capacity for size along with handling that is getting closer to a full size gun! Everyone rejoice, we are living in the golden age of firearms!! Hellcat pro, Shield Plus, Sig 365xl all great guns! Lots of companies with high hot competition, let capitalism do its thing and we all win!........ Merica!
I just picked up a hellcat pro last week and have put a couple hundred rounds through it so far and I honestly love it. I agree about the trigger, reset is a bit long but I'm personally already more accurate and comfortable with this one than I have been with my glocks, which I still love. So far, I can't say enough good about it
Comedy is top tier. “ all this time I was an amateur with this one. Now I can to pro” 🤣
I can see the Hellcat Pro is definitely gonna be my go to 9mm pistol in the future.
Bought one about 6 months ago and first shot it this past weekend. It’s crazy smooth.
@@SA-5247 Why'd you buy it to not shoot it for 6 months?

@TecnamTwin There's many reasons why!! Live in a not so friendly liberal state that likes to infringe on you're gun rights and you will see.
@@TecnamTwinI bought mine almost a year and a half ago now. Never shot it once. I have strikeman target practice though.
I’ve officially been watching Hickok45 shoot guns for 10 years. I’ve purchased so many firearms after watching these videos. I don’t always agree with him but he is definitely someone whose opinion carries a ton of weight, in my mind. And we always, ALWAYS agree that shooting guns is fun as hell.
Found your channel in 2013 looking for my first pistol. Been watching since. Sir you have the most respect from all your viewers and you’re a true legend
I love the chuckle after a shot, it shows the love of shooting and guns that is healthy and fun.
Been carrying one for past 3 wks.. Shot a few mags through it. So far, i like it. I do like the sight features.. So far, no malfunctions from Middle T.N.. Thanks for sharing, be safe..
I own the 365xl and looked at the springfield. Not too much to negatively say about the hellcat, but I liked the trigger much better on the 365. I upgraded the magazine with mag guts internals, so I have 14 + 1 with a flush fit, and upgraded the grip module to an icarus precision aluminum unit. It's the perfect balance for myself, but to each their own. Thanks for the unbiased reviews, they're always great!
Hellcat was my first gun that wasn’t a Glock..
I ended up selling my 43x to get one and like it a lot better than the 43x. Then 2 weeks later they came out with the Hellcat Pro and I was somehow able to get my hands on one the day they launched and they addressed every complaint I had with the original Hellcat and really just made the PERFECT conceal carry firearm, in my personal opinion. Less snappy than the original Hellcat, flush fit 15 round mag, bigger grip to keep my pinky in place, crispier trigger and you don’t have to pay extra to get the OSP variant.
I really like my 43x for edc, but I’m strongly considering a hellcat pro for winter months. It felt great at the range, functioned flawlessly. I was considering a g19 until I heard about this. I like the 19 but it’s definitely bigger than the hellcat for no reason. Unless one wants a thicker grip. Definitely reliable but just too thick for my edc preference. Nice review
I got the hellcat pro and the 43x. The pro comes out of the box better, but I put night sights on my 43x and changed the mag release to shield arms and shield arms 15rd mags. I have less money in the pro now, not much. I like them both but I find myself carrying the 43x more cause it’s warmer now and that grip on the hellcat pro can rub u raw without an undershirt.😬
I hated my 43X . gun was just not for me. had to keep adjusting my grip every time I picked it up. Bought a Shield plus. Fits my hands much better. I guess one size does not fit all 😁
Love this channel. Thanks for everything you and the family do.
I second that, there's good channels out there but I can't not have my Hickok 45...
I never researched the Hellcat. I only tried out the smaller Hellcat at a range and really liked it. Just bought the Hellcat Pro tonight. I've not shot it yet but I think this one's gonna be great. Grip and balance are really good. Then I thought, I need to check Hickok45 and see if he has any videos on this! Thanks for the demos!
I love my Hellcat. It fits my hand perfectly flush and the 15 round extension for backup is great. Conceals nice. I just like the grip better over the P365 because it is just a bit more thicker. When I put grip tape, then its even better but I'm thinking of getting it professionally stippled.
Love my 365xl. My wife has the Hellcat and when she puts on the extended mag, it is a good feel.
You deserve to receive “promotion packages”. Borrowed guns should not be in your vocabulary. You’re an OG sir, a staple. I’d like to see and experience the videos that I hear you say more often than not “thank you to _ _ for giving us this gun”. You’re well deserving of this expectation.
That would probably go against who he is. The promotion guys aren't allowed to speak bad and being honest on the guns.. Hickok is very honest on his reviews.
Love the Hellcat but my only advice is to never dry fire your Hellcat without a snap cap. The tip of my striker broke off while dry firing (I dry fire A LOT and had close to 2,000 rounds through it). The manual explicitly says to not dry fire without a snap cap. Springfield sent me a new striker, no questions asked.
Oh wow, I didn't know this. I thought it only said not to dry fire it while it was being field stripped. I'm gonna have to check over my manual again
Sunday one of my firearms instructor took my Hellcat pro asking to shoot it. I have a Holisun eps carry on it. I was giving up on the pistol and red dot. He put 3 shots on bull's eye at 7 yds. It's my trigger discipline or lack thereof that is the problem. A bit of coaching I can shot pretty straight now. Hellcat is badass
I installed the Apex trigger kit and Apex extended mag release on my Hellcat Pro. It made a big difference. Thank you for the video.

Nice choices. If I lived in France, I would love to have those and a Manurhin MR73. Those revolvers are just gorgeous. I have heard that they will be reimported into the United States soon, and I intend to pick one up. Have a great day.
I just shot today 100 rounds on cz shadow 2- one little baddie loved it on the first mag !
And now I have a new gun. A 1976 Soviet Makarov from Izmash factory.
Sorry for my english
@@stanislasblanchard4781 thank you for sharing. Your English is very good. Much better than my French.
I completely agree with your comparison with the G19. That was actually my thought as soon as I saw the length and capacity of the Hellcat Pro, it makes all previous "compact" guns look not that compact anymore.
Yeah, I grabbed one 2 days ago and it’s better than it gets credit for. 15 rds in a sub compact with a full grip and MOS out the factory? You really can’t beat that right now and feels as good to shoot as the Glock 43x although the “U” notch takes some getting used to, I think it’s a better sight 🤷🏾♂️ and the conceal ability is AMAZING!
What is MOS?
@@MegaSpurs18 the slide is optic cut from the factory.
Love your videos for ten years, always good quality and content, thanks and cheers from France
Love the channel! I just got a 365XL to replace my Glock 19 as my CCW. Thank you for making my decision so much easier
Love the reviews of all kinds of firearms keep up the great work
You can nail that gong like a champ! I’m just saying. That’s a heck of a shot with a small firearm like this. Great video as usual. Love watching. Thanks for putting them out there
I decided to go with the hellcat OSP because a 15 round magazine makes it the same grip length as the pro with the ability to go smaller by throwing in a 13 round magazine or an 11 round magazine with the pinky extention or flush mount base plate for the smallest package. With the smaller barrel it's almost like a 43x or 365x but with the ability to adjust the grip length for comfort/concealabilty. If I need a tiny rig just throw in a flush mount 11 round mag and it's easily pocketable, if size isn't as much of a worry then a 15rd mag with full grip length provides a great feel and capacity. Best of both worlds!
And I think the opposite, the pro is still slim and 15 rd mag flat is very good.
Got mine today and I’m in love. Shoots great feels great! Will be rotating from 365xl to hellcat pro love them both.
I’ve had the Hellcat Pro for a couple weeks now. I shot both the p365 and the standard Hellcat at the rental range. Both of them were too small for my hands. I started hearing about the p365xl and the Hellcat Pro, then the p365x. I was finally able to hold both the P365x and the Hellcat Pro in my hands at a gun shop. The Hellcat Pro just fit better in my hands. I since have found holsters from Hawg Holsters and use the Philster Enigma Express to conceal carry. It’s a great setup!
Thanks for all of the great videos.
I feel like the Hellcats grip depends on the user hands. just not able to grip it right like the XL, especially with the Wilson Combat grip. One thing is for sure, probably over 500 rounds, mostly steel case and not one issues with my Pro
@@ElJuan008 definitely! That’s why I kept going back and forth between the two. They were so close.
Nice to hear that someone took some pistols out for a test drive at a rental range before buying one instead of going off of a video or even a magazine review. I’ve advocated for that for years among acquaintances who weren’t exactly gun people, and a lot of them never knew that there was a such a thing as a rental range. I’ve known many people who have told me that they bought a gun after hearing good things about it, only to not like certain things about its ease of operation, how it felt in the hand, etc., and going after something else. Good on you.
@@johndilday1846 I couldn’t imagine buying an edc gun without shooting something that’s at least close to it. I shot a couple others first and instantly knew those weren’t for me. I wouldn’t even buy the Hellcat Pro without holding it and the P365x in my hands first.
Pleased to find this video so soon after the pistol was released AND my own Pro purchase. As always honest, informative reviews. Thanks!
I've never seen a steadier shot than Hickok45, always amazing. You da man, sir!
I don't like striker fired pistols but the Hellcat RDP had so many new (to me) features I up and bought one. Left handed I reversed the magazine release. The compensator helps with the snap. The trigger was not as light as I like and I could sort of feel it flex as I pulled it through. An Apex trigger fixed it and improved the pistol a lot. The grip seemed a little narrow and my trigger finger seemed a shade too long for proper placement, so a Hogue grip sleeve fattened it up helped with the length of pull.
The Hex sight makes 25 yard targets easy even with my poor eyesight.
It's the best automatic I ever had and 100% reliable so far. Totally fun to shoot and most semi autos aren't. (To me.)
Just bought the regular Hellcat and the build quality reminds me of H&K. A solid well built micro that in my opinion is the best of its genre. No massive striker problems like the P365 and can shoot plus-p unlike the Max 9. The Shield is big enough that it almost takes it out of the micro compact discussion.
Check out the stoeger str9 mc
Man you Make shooting seem so effortless-- such a pro- love it!
Just purchased the Pro Saturday. Only put 50 rounds through her so far.......Love it!
Is it snappy? I bet it jumps hard?
@@throatpunch4789 - I've fired both P365XL and Hellcat Pro, they're about the same in recoil, accuracy and speed. They're 9mm after all, not 357 Sig, they don't "jump hard". lol! I prefer the Hellcat over the P365.
@@throatpunch4789 - just a tab bit more snappy than the GLOCK 43x
@throat Punch. No more than the Sig. Not bad on Recoil at all. It’s actually lighter than my P365.
I agree, it’s a great shooting pistol. It’s a nice complement to the P365. I think that it comes down to how the pistol fits your hand because they both shoot great.👍
Correct!!! Great guns! I shot the the 365, shield plus and hellcat. I picked the hellcat simply on the feel of the grip. All three are solid firearms.
I moved from the Glock 43 to the Hellcat Pro recently. This is by far by favorite Compact sized firearm I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. After spending time with the P320, g43, and G19, it’s by far the most comfortable and accurate I have ever been shooting a gun this size.
Sad gettin older and watchin ol Hick get older. Watched him first over 10 years ago. Love ya Hickok.
I have the Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. They're both excellent pistols. The Pro really is awesome, very sleek and smooth shooting.
These comparisons are so helpful. I personally love my Hellcat every day as I carry it. Nice to see the "pro" version matches up so well against the Glock 19. Glock is not stepping up their game of late.
Glock hasn't stepped up their game in 30 years. All they did was add finger groves, then removed them.....that's it!
I mean, what more would you want? I wouldn’t mind having factory sights that are tritium.
Glock does not listen to the customer period.
That’s why I don’t own a glock to this day.
@@furonwarrior - I can make a list of a Glock that would be far more desirable than the current Glocks on the market. Just in case you're curious.

I bought Ballistol A few years ago after watching some of your videos. It really is my go to lube for just about everything. I don’t believe in spending a lot on gun cleaning supplies. As long as you’ve got a solvent, lube, and old T-shirts and a toothbrush you’re good. Ballistol actually sticks around without drying up completely so I’m pretty happy I found it. I’ve sprayed it on some of my leather shoes and it actually made them look great.

True so many great firearms today. I've gone through a few different ones I've tried mainly trying to find one that carries well and is good in the woods. Now that I'm in my 40's for some reason I just carry a boot .38 and a pocket .32 most of the time.
I like the size of these guns. G19 capacity but thinner and a better purchase when drawing during stress. My sig 365 with 12 was close but I ended up with a springfield ronin emp 4 9mm bc it was thinner but I could get a hold of the pistol. Awesome that there's so many choices for ccw these days
You can't get the best purchase on a small gun when drawing
I tried the Sig P365, P365X, P365XL, Hellcat, Ruger Max 9, LC9S, and SR9c, M&P Shield Plus and M&P 2.0 subcompact, CZ RAMI and CZ75 PCR, Canik TP 9 Elite SC, Glock G26,G19 and G17. Sold the Glocks during Covid to buy the Sigs. Best trade I ever made. My favorite overall semi auto pistol to this day is the 1st one I ever bought - the Ruger SR9c; fantastic trigger, low recoil with the slide weight, great feel, superior accuracy, 10 or 17 round magazines, ambi controls. #2. Is the Sig P365XL - again great feel, trigger and accuracy for me. #3. CZ 75 PCR deadly accurate (for me), touching same hole standing at 10 yards, 3” groups at 25 yards, and 6” groups at 50 yards
I always appreciate your insight on these guns! Hopefully you can do the compact XDM 10mm from Springfield soon? That's the next one for me.
I recently bought the hellcat pro and I love it. After buying it I read some negative reviews and was worried I made a mistake. I am somewhat of a novice with 9mms so I don’t have much to compare it to other than my sig sauer p938. I swap back and forth for my carry pistol and the hellcat is very comfortable in an old leather holster I had from my old 1973 springfield 45. I fired 200 rounds from it today and it performed flawlessly. It is also very easy to disassemble and assemble.
It’s amazing don’t worry about hate
Picked up a hellcat over the weekend for $610 after tax. Have never owned a pistol over $500 and this thing is amazing. So happy with my purchase.

Great vid! I got one for myself and my wife because of the same thinking....its a midsize capacity and easily concealable. I still carry my 1911 when I open carry thought.
You are so good it's crazy! Thanks for all your videos.
Advertised as a HC Pro vid… but actually an in-depth review of the HC Pro, HC, 365, and G19…which I appreciate!!
The legendary man is back
Ty that was the best comparison you could have done. Both great guns. Own them both. I feel the sig has a better trigger. I feel the hellcat has better sights. I edc the pro, with a upgraded trigger , though would recommend ether or. Personal preference as you described . Ty for the great vids
I’ve been carrying the hellcat pro osp for a while. Everybody bitches about the trigger in stock form, but I didn’t mind it. I still put the apex trigger in mine because I’m used to it and I run it in my Glocks. Also put a Holosun 407k on top. It replaced my 43x as my everyday carry. Sold my original silver slide 43x and went back with a 43x mos so I could mount an optic. I used to bash red dots, then I shot with one and really liked it lol. Did years in the marine corps and always ran open sights on my sidearm. Always an eotech with a Magnifier on my m4 but never with a pistol until a year or 2 ago. I came out just after we adopted the SIG! Wouldn’t mind having a p320 xcsrry or something to see if a SIG will grow on me. Didn’t care for the SIg much in the corps, but then again I only used it for about a year until I got out! Love the channel! I’d love to make the trip from East Tennessee and shoot with you some day!
Glock has been the size/weight/capacity standard forever. Hellcat pro 15 rounds and sig macro 17, make it very hard to not give up a g19. Then you have all smaller model compatibility as well.
Sig and Springfield did exactly what everyone wanted and cut weight and size by 20% and kept capacity the same.
Well, it's about damn time. Thanks for this!
For me the Hellcat Pro feels like it was designed specifically for my hand and seems as close to a perfect hand gun as I have ever shot.
Same
Pretty much the same exact thing I said when I first shot the XD45 back in the day.
The more a pistol weighs the more accurate it is. 🤔 LoL just kidding thank you Mr Hickok 45 Sir and John for all your hard work and time. Y'all are so appreciated.
The best channel on CZcams! Thank you 🙏 sir!!
My preference for my original Hellcat is to carry it with the 15rd mag that includes the pinky extension. I run it with the Hex Wasp, and it's my go to concealed carry pistol
Same! I have no desire to get the pro. I bought the original for it's ease of concealment. It's my EDC.
I love it!
It's my EDC as well! Perfect size for me.
You should look into Alabama holster company. I just ordered a pocket holster from them. With the standard mag, it disappears in a pair of cargo shorts!
Exactly
Keep up the great work and we all appreciate everything you do for the community
I just picked up a hellcat pro 2 weeks ago and I love it
Love the stock sights on these
GREAT sights
Me too. The main reason I chose the hellcat for my carry gun instead of the 365
Thinking about getting a p365 xl now after seeing well how it matches up . Already own a p365 with magguts (14+1), which was stopping me from getting the xl. But by the looks of it looks like it’ll be a even more smooth shooter.
Never been here this early, been watching Hickok a long time!
I had lots, and lots of rounds down range with a Beretta M9, became highly proficient with it. However I purchased an XDM .45ACP the year they released for my first autoloader. That XDM 45 has softer recoil than my Gen 3 G19. I am considering the regular Hellcat, as I prefer boxier grips. I carry Smiths (the rotating cylinder varient) or Walther CCP which is the most ergonomic, but failure to feed prone pistol.
Wish it was mentioned that the standard hellcat has a 15rd mag available as well, so they do have an option to compare to the 43x and that sig he shows at the end. I pocket carry my hellcat with the 13rd, and iwb carry in winter with the 15rd, works perfect for me!!
Springfield always makes a reliable good gun and these don't look like any exception
They dont make a shit, gun is completely made in HS Produkt in Croatia they are just reselling it in USA.
Thanks for sharing your videos and keep them coming please.
Great video. I salute you and John on a job well done. Much respect. I bought The Hellcat OS. Your video helped me understand and appreciate the Hellcat and glad I bought this. I also put Talon grips on it. Shoots 👍. I dont have Federal premium ammo. I have Speer Gold Dot 124 grn +P. I hope that meets your approval lol me to shoot better. Thanks
Love my Hellcat 1st Gen with a upgrade apex trigger and stainless steel sleeve.
We had Springfield do an expo at a local shop in PA with these firearms ( there are a lot of these sold around here )
Great video. I've never been a fan of a striker fired pistol though but that's just me.
