- Our Konopiště Open 2017 tournament footage continues with the men's feature card, consisting of the defending champion Simon Lizotte (GER) accompanied with Eagle McMahon (USA), Paul McBeth (USA) and Seppo Paju (FIN), who were chosen for the feature card by fan votes. This video shows the back 9 of round 1 at the beautiful but challenging Franz Ferdinand course in Benesov, Czech Republic.

last, some of what people think is hashing by Simon is instructional to the audience, not Eagle. he's telling you the type of throw necessary to succeed. he just uses Eagle's and his throws as a starting point to begin. it works well because he's telling you what went wrong.

TY'ALL!! Love logging-in to find another weekend of pro tour coverage. Love the pro in-depth commentary discussing the course layout, their disc selection, shots and mistakes. Undoubtedly casual but refreshing from the formal, scripted reiterations of most sports. Just sittin' here in my recliner with the pros discussin' their weekend of disc. For god's sake their kids ( in my mind of over half a century ) and thoroughly appreciate their time in sharing their game.

I agree, why are people hashing on these guys? the commentary was by far the least formal I've heard but still fine. these guys haven't done much but will get better. In general, commenting on your own round has to be hard. I would pair with Jamie or Avery, very formal commentators.
These ads and the ridiculous volume level shift between them makes this really annoying to watch! Also, please put feet alongside meters in the hole descriptions. Thank you for the vids though!
Great coverage, cmon...most of the ads are less than 10 seconds, I DO agree the volume changes in the music VS commentary needs work though.
VNOyovino I agree about the volume. Lower the audio for music and ads down to 80% to match audio volume of Simon and Eagle. This is still my favorite disc golf channel to watch tho. 💯💯

Meters are the universal unit of length. 1 foot is exactly 0.3048 meters. So when you are using feet, you are actually using meters with a conversion factor.

I actually like this laid back commentary more than Koling.
Koling has a tendency to feel like he has to keep talking non--stop, and it is extremely annoying.

I think Simon and Eagle were a bit off their game on the commentary because they had been sick (as they said, and you could hear in their voices), but they still had some funny moments. I've heard them do much better on other videos. These two lads are the future of the sport. But Big Sexy commentary is still the best commentary.
LOVING the Simon and Eagle commentary, I think a lot of the comments stem from people who don't understand that Simon and Eagle are buddies and teammates, so of course the commentary will have a looser feel to it.

Surprised to say this, but didn't really enjoy Simon's commentary. All he could talk about is himself and his distance or complain about a bad shot. If you listen to McBeth on commentary he never talks a big game about himself and he's a much more accomplished player. No, I don't understand the cultural difference but Simon just sounds full of himself without much reason to me.
